A team filled with the badasses of Final Fantasy...

...The Espers. I've been doing pretty doing decently with this team on Shoddy, but I think there's a major flaw I'm not seeing lol. The strategy is simple, get Stealth Rock down to set up a Lucario sweep late-game, while Gallade/Heatran alternate on hitting stuff hard. It's based on the Espers from FFXII.

300px-Exodus.jpg

Exodus, the Judge-Sal (Bronzong) @ Lum Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/152 Atk/8 Def/98 SDef
Relaxed nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Stealth Rock
- Hypnosis
- Gyro Ball
- Explosion

Standard Bronzong. Lum Berry and Bronzong's defenses means that more often than not, I can put a Pokemon to sleep. Afterwards, I'll just set up Stealth Rock for the team.

Exodus is an Esper who has no element and represents Libra in the Zodiac. Exodus' ultimate attack, Meteor, is an explosive move that does massive damage to the foe. And what better Pokemon will represent Exodus than Bronzong?

300px-Adrammelech.jpg

Adrammelech, the Wroth (Salamence) @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 224 HP/14 Atk/196 Def/76 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Roost
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake

Bulky Salamence. This thing is an absolute beast. He survives Lucario's +2 ExtremeSpeed and OHKO's back with Earthquake. He replaced Spiritomb, since I had a gaping Heracross weak.

Adrammelech is an Esper, whose element is Thunder. He represents Capricorn in the zodiac. Salamence is not a goat, but he still resembles him, since he has a dragon-like appearance.

300px-Hashmal.jpg

Hashmal, the Bringer of Order (Gallade) @ Choice Band
Ability: Steadfast
EVs: 64 HP/252 Atk/194 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Close Combat
- Psycho Cut
- Ice Punch
- Night Slash

CB Gallade. With proper prediction, this guy is a monster with access to a Close Combat that hits as hard as CB Heracross'. This dude OHKO's standard Gliscor with Ice Punch and also hits Weezing hard with STAB Psycho Cut, two Pokemon which would otherwise beat my Lucario.

Hashmal is an Esper, whose element is Earth. He represents Leo in the Zodiac. As you can see, Hashmal wields two blades, like Gallade whose has blade-like arms.

300px-Ffxii_espers_ultima.jpg

Ultima, the High Seraph (Celebi) @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 240 HP/234 Def/32 Spd
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Grass Knot
- Leech Seed
- Recover
- U-turn

Such a useful Pokemon. This here's my answer to Gyarados and most Bulky Waters. Leech Seed helps the team and U-turn is for scouting. I love this Pokemon.

Ultima is an Esper, whose element is "Holy". She represents Virgo in the Zodiac. Ultima is an angel, who is among the most powerful of the Espers.

300px-Ffxii_espers_belias.jpg

Belias, the Gigas (Heatran) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 20 HP/252 SAtk/238 Spd
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Explosion

My revenge killer. This guy is my answer to a lot of threats and has saved my butt countless times. Together with Celebi, they form the common, but still great, CeleTran combo.

Belias is an Esper, whose element is Fire. He represents Aries in the Zodiac and is the first Esper you can obtain in FFXII. While Heatran does'nt look much like a ram, he still obviously represents fire very well.

300px-Ffxii_espers_famfrit.jpg

Famfrit, the Darkening Cloud (Lucario) @ Life Orb
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 Atk/6 Def/252 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Close Combat
- Extremespeed
- Bullet Punch

The "star of the show". Once it's counters been taken out, this guy SD's and proceeds to sweep the opposing team. Bullet Punch in the last slot to take care of Gengar, obviously.

Famfrit is an Esper, whose element is Water. He represents Aquarius in the Zodiac. While Lucario does'nt really represent water or Aquarius, but he still represents Famfrit's title very well once he gets an SD xD.

So yeah, there's the team. I hope you like it and I'll appreciate any advice on how to improve it, as it's been my most successful.

EDIT: Replaced Spiritomb with Salamence.

well well well... I like the behemoth final fantasy things... Anyways, Hera comes in and uses megahorn! hera destroys the team! Scarfcross would be a serious threat here. That's why there's such thing as Naive max speed scarftran! Now don't go saying it can be beaten with prediction... because it may predict you. Wait... didn't see tomb...

Oh well that changes some stuff. It might not like repeated beatings from megahorn though.

Spiritomb can't take more then 1 Megahorn without dying. Nothing can switch in without being killed in another shot by then same move, so I'd probably replace it with Salamence, which resists both its STABs, has intimidate, and it's Ice weakness is covered, but it may not be nice to have a theme breaker, unless it fits

Why Bullet Punch on Lucario? IF Bronzong and Spiritomb are there to kill gengar it should not be a concern. I would use HP Ice or Crunch, preferbally crunch.

Well, I replaced Spiritomb with Bulky Salamence to help cope with my Heracross weakness and still reliably counter Lucario. Even though now I don't have a ResTalker or a Spin Blocker, Salamence has been much more useful than Spiritomb since I added him.

Why Bullet Punch on Lucario? IF Bronzong and Spiritomb are there to kill gengar it should not be a concern. I would use HP Ice or Crunch, preferbally crunch.

I have Bullet Punch merely for insurance, since Spiritomb isn't really reliable as a Gengar counter. Right now, since I replaced Tomb, I'm going to stick with Bullet Punch.
