Tournament RUCL II - Commencement

HisuiHeat OFFICIAL 25.5K PR

(REMINDER THAT I AM THE SOLE AUTHORITY IN THIS MATTER AND MY WORD IS FACT)

1. Ming's Team (I don't feel like typing their full name, yet I typed this full explanation, says a lot about society)

Ming drafted Ming's team in the RU Discord voice call and I really like some of his picks! Despite a major and continuous lapse in judgement buying mielke (locked out of ADV) for 10k, he still got C0nfiden1 0yster who is probably the top SSRU in the pool for 20k, Cielau, a great RU player with SCL experience, for 16k, and rounded out SV with Hoops, Angolano, and possibly Drud? for 11.5, 8k, and 12k respectively.

As for old gens I know mielke can probably play something else, I know rylon is strong, and I know Fantos13 is strong, so that is my basis for their #1 placement

2. Golden Wind Riders

WALLY did a great job getting a bunch of underrated, strong SV talent while also having top level old-gen players who also have great flexibility. I expect to see novax in SV every week with gk, hairoll, txunt, mj, roaring moonlight, goobc3, medasus, wally, gewwge, or really anyone filling those last three slots, depending on how they construct their lineup. They have an insane amount of flexibility which I think if they do their picks right, will be a boon rather than a burden.

3. Glacial Cetitans

Solid draft from the Cetitans, many strong players. Pretty standard, reliable, and expected all around. I don't really have much to add on this one since my knowledge is more limited.

4. Nosepasses

Good mix of old and new players. I like to see people like Peum getting picked up for this tour, lot of upside for only 3k. Obviously DugZa + Zugu in SV is going to be scary (if they both end up playing SV every week that is). Etern, Ninjadog, damien, premonitions, spell, vioz, the list goes on and on and on, and thats without even mentioning their most expensive player, Gondra. An embarrassment of riches on this team, makes me wonder why I'm not putting them higher... I like looking like an idiot so its fine.

5. Trace Telepaths

Slikkles and Heatranator drafted a bunch of strong old-gen players along with Franklin who can play SV or SS and be the best player in the pool, which explains the highest price tag in the draft, either way, the manager support in SV is going to be great with both managers having different but strong building styles and being some of the most active and dedicated RU community members.

The reason I don't rate them higher is because I find their team slightly too reliant on a few players to perform.

6. Weezings

Xiri for 27k is a steal considering my price (lol) and Joel for 7.5k is obviously good value. LBN and Baddy can put up strong records and if they don't this team is fucked. While I don't consider the gap in this tour between the worst and best team to be as egregious as SCL (dynamos lol), I'd be surprised to see the Weezings win the tour

7. Krookodiles

They are our opponents this week so they get ranked last

Post draft posts people, come on!

Here is my own post ranking the teams save mine solely based on how good their SS slot potentially is regardless of how likely they are to actually play it, and keep in mind due to the nature of the format, there can be two SS slots in any given week so I will be taking that into account as well, and SS I think is one of the more likely picks in this format.

1: Tantalizing Weezings. LBN is the most likely SSer here and a very solid player overall. Xiri can also SS and does very well.

2: The City of Brotherly Drudd. This one is easy. Oyster is Mr. SS and one of the most prominent SS players. Skilled and actively builds things for the SS metagame. Hoops can also cover SS if both teams end up picking it.

3: The Trace Telepaths. If TheFranklin does end up playing SS, then they have got one of the best SS players in the pool. If not, Poseidonwrath or Zause could fill the slot and both are solid choices.

4: Mr. Speed Boosters. Ampha is a very solid SS player, although I could see mipc covering SS while Ampha plays SV.

5: The Kriminal Krookodiles. Luuanfps is a really solid player overall and he has played and done well in SS before like in SSPL. Feen can also SS on this team.

6: NGL Nosepasses. These last two teams don't really have any well-known SS players as far as I can tell. Damien the Genius is probably going the be the guy playing SS here and he is a solid player

7: Glacial Cetitans. Not sure who is going to SS here, I think it could be Ninjacaro, they are a solid SV player but I don't have a great idea of who will SS here.

Hej, one last PR for old time's sake:
Also holy shit did some of these prices make zero sense LOL wtf

NGL Nosepass: 1st
DugZa self buy is great, really strong tiebreak option who can obviously go into multiple tiers. Gondra at 25.5k is insane but I suppose this is one of those tours they didn't price fix in :haha:, should put up a strong record wherever. Etern, zugu, and ninja are a very capable next few slots, this is maybe the best start to a draft here? I'm indifferent on the rest of their picks; damien, vioz, spell, premonition, etc. should all be fine, this team is very very top heavy and should be favored in a lot of tiers consistently and have insane upside in tiebreaks. Scary playoffs team.

Trace Telepaths: 2nd
Slikkles self buy is good, this guy plays more SV RU than just about anyone else at this time and it seems to be doing good for him. Frank provides immediate star power to the team, obviously worth being the most expensive player in every RU tour and guarantees the best tiebreak option if needed. Vroom, Ty, Don, and Leni all seem like good flex slots for a format like this, though you can throw Leni in SV if needed. Brick, zause, and memphis will form some sort of additional SV rotation that should be fine and then you have a few other decent options in Miyami, LB, etc. This team has at least four slots that should project to end positive and a couple of high upside options to fill in where needed.

City of Brotherly Drudd: 3rd
Ming self buy is good, should be a fine SV option and potential flex in tiebreak potentially. Oyster is so great in SS this guy going for 20k is a bargain. Cielau, Drud, and Hoops should also be strong options (Cielau respond to my RU Cup scheduling you french [redacted]!!!). Mielke apparently locked out of ADV and still went 10k which is LMFAO that is insane cope... angolano, rylon, and 8truc seem like ok mid-price buys and then the cheap picks are kinda whatever, eldids literally plays every god damn tour on this site it is insane how chronically online they are so I anticipate them winning a few random games or whatever. A playoff contender with potentially good tiebreak options, will depend on how they fill out the flex slots all tour.

MrSpeed Boosters: 4th
Diogo self buy is great, wonder how much he'll bounce around or if he decides to stick to one tier all tour potentially? Bouff and Davis as your two big ticket buys is crazy in 2026, and Ampha right after at also >20k seems soooo optimistic. I did say before the draft to get Davis and a bunch of cheap SV players who can click so the rest of their draft seems fine enough, some potentially solid flex slot options like Wamr, mipc, DiB, fvk, and Irene. Flab will be a dumb fuck and make the Discord unreadable (jk love you flaboof). Solid team, not immediately imposing to me but diogo (and liemaster combo!) is a great manager pair I believe and they have solid options across the board, playoffs should be seen as likely.

Tantalizing Weezings: 5th
No self buy, which felt obvious. Starting with Xiri, Baddy, and LBN is good. Seraphz cancered my PMPL team despite us being the obvious #1 seed all tour so idk what to say about this shitter other than if they play they should be fine. Dill, McLovin, Msousa, and Regiboob all solid options with high upside, so this is nice. Joel (and LBN) will probably be stuck building a lot of their SV but that should be okay. Good team, a playoff contender most likely if their picks all buy in, which is cool to see from two people otherwise not associated with RU at all to me.

Glacial Cetitans: 6th
Hacker self buy is good, not sure if they'll SV all tour but they are fine playing whatever they want. Ruffles at 27k seems high but this draft has a lot of insane prices I see, so whatever. Heysup, Tene, and Lana are really good picks too, lots of good upside there. After that though it loses the plot a bit, pixie should be good I suppose but maybe I do not know how good some of these other players are at this time. This team will rely on their top picks performing well and a few of their cheaper buys to overperform, likely not a playoff contender on paper to me but mons is mons.

The Golden Wind Riders: 7th
Wally self buy is fine, good player who seems to be very active across a lot of tiers at the moment so offers some upside. GK at 25k makes so much sense for the wally team, have fun doing his scheduling and laundry this tour but he should win a lot hopefully :) !!! Hairroll, gew, txunt, and MJ all good choices but after that the draft falls apart a bit, lots of seemingly random cheap flex slots. Good to see goob potentially start? Idk this team lacks a great tiebreak trio and will struggle to make playoffs, I suspect, but they do have a lot of upside if some of these picks pop off like I believe they can.

Kriminal Krookodiles: 8th
No self buy, which felt right. This draft having big ticket players lza, indulge, and feen is insane LOL. Shadow mega showed up this SCL so I like that buy here. Clem, Nemosse, db, Drip, and a few others after that can all do fine but man I really do not see the vision with this roster. So many random cheap buys that don't seem like they have a plan besides drafting an army and hoping the slots fill themselves, I rate this team very very poorly on paper to start and think every player has to overperform to even make playoffs. Good luck ako :)

I decided to rank the toxicity of each team.

1 - Mr. Speed Boosters
This is weird. One voice in my head is telling me that they have sweet people in HisuiHeat, fvkumean, Don Bork, and probably mipc. The other voice is reminding me that it's just about it.
This team fucking scares me, and I am not talking about pokemon level at all (because this is not scary). I sleep terribly at night knowing that Flabeauf is sending me 250 DMs per day (my ex-wife who cheated on me when I was in the military wasn't sending me as much) explaining how SV RU is bad and that it's 06:07 AM.
Diogo is at an Mbappé level of dictatorship and terror, every time I see him around I just want to chop my own head off so that he doesn't do it on his own. Dugtrio Is Broken rickrolled me a week ago.

Give me Argentina jerseys so I can exorcise them all. My skin is peeling every time I see this team.

2 - Trace Telepaths
I need to know what went through these guys' minds thinking "oh yeah lets get Franklin (RUTL), Vroom (peaceful guy who doesnt like dramas) and Leni (has never smiled or laughed at any moment of his Smogon career) alongside zause (went more back and forth on the RU cord than I did with my ex-wife) and Wesley (will spend more time doing ragebait battle than pokemon battles) alongside LB (wesley's wife)"...?

Ironically though, I think those guys were picked at the right time. With all due respect, up until the DonBoneJones pick I was sure of one thing: these guys are NOT going to crack any laugh with the players they had. It almost feels like a disrespect at this point, getting the fortnite tiktok guys just to cheer the actual RU players so that you don't want to seek psychotherapy after bad performances in midseason.

I wouldn't last more than 2 weeks in this team if I'm being honest, but I think the RU forum mod factor prevents them from being 1st.

4 - The Kriminal Krookodiles:
Who could've thought that the council member with the biggest ego and the lowest amount of self-questioning would take a ride with the nicest people of whole RUCL? It seems like being owned in RUWC grows humility on motherfuckers.
Not much to say, besides the fact that we're gonna have yet another argument involving Canard aka "i only play HO or i cancer", feen aka "dont care just send teams, sunday -6 lmk when", and Nemosse crashing out after getting scald burned and reminding the whole world about it 6 months later on, but that's about it really.
This team actually looks quite healthy though, nothing to be scared of.

5 - The Golden Wind Riders
Cool team, nice people, everything good. Won't elaborate for my mental health.

6 - Glacial Cetitans
What am I even supposed to say bro like please tell Blaise to send emojis?

7 - City of Brotherly Drudd
I used to compare Ming to Kai Cenat because of the way he brings up "chat" but with the recent Portable Document File allegations I won't compare him to anyone.
Not sure what to say about them, they are 7th for the sake of it but they owe it to having Angolano, Cielau, rylon, didss and Dlanyer altogether, they would be unranked otherwise.

8 - Tantalizing Weezings:
If you move LBN out the picture, this team is genuinely cool and looks fun to be part of. But here's the problem, if LBN happens to lose a game week 2 for loading choice specs entei or some shit, the only way out is him swearing and cussing at his 13 year old managers before one dips and the other follows.
They definitely deserve the last spot, and this is a good thing.

SLIKKLES SV POWER RANKING

Hello everyone and as you know it, when I'm hype for a tour I do a Power Ranking. Remember that it's for fun and don't take it personnally!
Overall I think the level of this tour remains solid. RUCL does have a lower entry level than RUPL but I wouldn't be close from calling it a huge dropoffs. Quality of the SV players remains high.
The number close to the name is how they're ranked out of 28 and near the team name the average.
I ranked based on experience with SV RU, how much they potentially care for the tour and of course: in game level. I DIDN'T TAKE INTO ACCOUNT ALCHEMY WITH BUILDERS AND MANAGER SUPPORT.

Mr. Speed Boosters (20.75) (7th)
HisuiHeat (10)
Dugtrio Is Broken (22)
Irene (24)
Mikah (27)
-> Unfortunately one of my favourite team isn't one I project on paper to have the strongest players. If we do take manager + Davis support this team is way higher. Davis in particular is a player who's on a hot streak right now. I really wanted him and I understand why Diogo and Liemaster wanted him as well. For me he has crazy potential and I could see him going 5-2.
The next 3 players are kinda a step down in quality in my opinion. Dugtrio I believe went 3-1 in SCL which is really solid but I know that these types of tours he rfn a lot with very little prep which make me bump him down.
Irene is a dark horse. She has some good moments and if it wasn't for her recently starting RU, I would've put her higher. Despite my Ranking I can see her go 4-3 but also crash and burn which is why I rank her lower.
Mikah is a fan favourite. Who doesn't love her? Besides being the best RUWC host and 2nd best SCL RU discussion thread host, her results in RU have been underwhelming recently. She struggled in RUPL and I fear a lack of motivation to play BUT the vibes will be insane with that Liemaster + Mikah combo!
Glacial Cetitans (19.75) (6th)
Lana (11)
Pixie909 (17)
blittius (25)
Ninjacaro (26)
This team goes in a similar way to the Mr. Speed Boosters. They have some pretty competent players and 2 players which I lack knowledge on how they could perform.
I'm a big Lana believer. Idt this SCL reflects her level and she's made to do well in these types of tours. She also builds a bit which gives me good hope on her succeeding.
I'm a big fan of pixie as well. I'm not sure if she played an RU team tour in the past but she's definitely a good clicker, active and good vibes. I ranked her 17th because of her lack of RU knowledge but ngl I think she'll probably do well.
'Fucking classic' blittius makes his debute in an RU team tour. I know he' a draft guy and I have seen mix results from him. If my memory is correct he had a good record in BLT and in some other tours he struggled more. Hacker does trust the fellow draft main but I need to see more from him.
This one is a complete lack of knowledge from me. I saw the name a few times and I ranked them there because of it.

The Golden Wind Riders (15.25) (5th)
hi. naming is hard (8)
Txunt! (13)
Hairoll (19)
Novax (21)
Wally's team has quite a step up in terms of 'average' ranking. There's one player I rate highly and quite a few middle of the pack with high upsides.
People sleep on Gewwge. I swear people don't talk about him and yet he's one of the most frustrating players to prep for due to his crackhead builds. Dare I say I find it harder to build vs Gewwge than some SCL players. Bro can load anything and that's what makes it scary. He plays quite well and is someone who I would say tries to innovate in the tier.
Txunt is a friend since basically he joined smogon. He's a good player and knows his stuff. I ranked him lower than I would want to due to his hiatus and a disappointing RUPL. I hope he can translate his individual tours success this RUCL.
This one confused me a bit and I wasn't sure of what to do with it. I wanted Hairoll on my team. He's a good player and just went crazy in RU classic... which is old gens yet
he's in SV. Idk about that one. He's a solid player and I imagine they believe he can do the RU classic magic in SV but idk. Feels like he would be better in SS.
Last of the team is Novax. I think they're pretty good. They went 4-1 in RUWC which gives me some form of expectations from them. I need to see more but this is an other dark horse slot.

Tantalizing Weezings (14.5) (4th)
Baddy (7)
JoelXLeaf (12)
Regiboob (16)
seraphz (23)
This is a team that I believe will do better than I expected or fall quite flat on it's face. the average ranking is good.
Baddy is obviously the start SV player. With an OLT finals run, he seems to be one of the new forces to be reckoned with. I don't expect him to go negative and will be a top dog to take down.
Joel is for a while a player I was mixed on. He's a good player, no doubt, he knows the tier and yet it frustrated me because he often relied on cheese and gimmicks. If he played them occasionally to suprise and used some more classic team I would rate high damn high. I still up my ranking on him.
The boob has some RU experience but I knocked it down a bit for being in 2000 tours. He's still the PU ladder tour winner and a good player so I expect him to perform pretty well.
I pains me to put seraphz 23rd. Because in terms of level he isn't. He's a solid player and I believe it's more of a Hairoll case of 'man why don't you play an oldgen where you would be a top 3 player'. I still think he'll perform better than I imagine. Mons is mons.

NGL Nospasses (13) (3rd)
zugubu royale (1)
etern (3)
Peum (20)
zmkzin (28)
I believe the most top heavy pool? They spent a lot early draft and had to get some good buys for little money and I think that worked pretty well.
zugubu was underrated in SCL, he performed well and went 5-3. He was still underrated this RUCL and I believe that it's a big mistake (we couldn't bid we were too poor). This guy I'm super high on: olt playoffs, classic playoffs, grand slam win. Do you need more? Yeah I think unless a big suprise comes in he'll farm.
Etern 3rd seems fair. He has high upsides as shown by SCL 2025 and even when not in a huge high he performs well (see this years SCL). His RUPL performance prevents me from ranking him 2nd but ngl I think he'll farm.
Peu is a bit of the same case as Novax but I rank him higher by 1 place because he went 3-0 with all his wins being in playoffs I believe? Boss shit.
Okay this guy was kinda glazed to me by feli during the draft as a high risk high reward player. I'll rank them last atm but someone to look out for.

City of Brotherly Drudd (9.75) (2nd)
Drud (4)
Ming549 (6)
Hoops (14)
Angolano06 (15)
Ming after winning RUPL and taking a small break is back in form and his SV is ranked highly be me? Let's see what it's worth.
This team is a step above the last 5 teams. I see some high highs and not low lows.
Drud is a monster. Bro has made back to back 6-3 in SCL I believe? He also is someone who I consider in general to be an excellent clicker. Really not much to add.
Ming my friend, you're a good player and the only thing holding you back is consistency. You have some high highs as shown in RUPL where you locked in and farmed in the 2nd part of the season. You also have some tours where it seems like it just doesn't work as planned. Nevertheless I still think you're.one of the players to beat this tour.
Hoops is my boy. I believe in every team tour where Hoops joined I bought him when I was the manager. For the first time we'll be foes. You're a very solid player and I believe in a bounce back from RUPL. Just need to get back into the game.
Angolano06 is a wildcard to me but who has better probabilities of doing well than not. Ladder achievements maker, knows the tier but lacks some concrete results yet. He's one of the rookies who has a lot of hype and we'll follow his season carefully.

Kriminal Krookodiles (8.5) (1st)
Shadow079 (2)
feen (5)
DripLegend (9)
Kitoothe (18)
This team feels like the avengers to me. The average level is very high and even the 'weakest' player is someone that I feel is super underrated yet good.
Shadow is a guy I discovered last year in UMs. Not he's 7-2 in SCL, damn he because very good fast. It may be a bit crazy to put him 2nd but I'm a big shadow believer. He usally puts efforts even into these tours so I'm a big fan + we saw some good things in RUPL.
feen is a good player, he's heavly held back by his lack of commitment to tours and will do the minimum. Still 6-1 last years RUPL so I rate him still highly.
Drip locked tf in this RUPL, I believe he can do it again and he's a player that I think is underappreciated. He'll do well.
Kitoothe is mad underrated. Me and Heatran thought we could get him for 3k and be sneaky like that. Turns out the Krooks were also familiar with his game. He's a very solid player hindered in popularity and glaze by the fact that he's rathe discrete. Still I rate him highly.

With that said good luck everyone and may the best win!
