The devastating UU team of DOOM!(preparing for ghandi's tourny later)

My new team ideasince the last one was full of lose.

item: focus sash
30/31/21/13/31/31
hasty
evs: 252atk, 252spd, 6hp
reversal
aerial ace
counter
swords dance

This is the scyther I bred personally for this set, and I've been interested in trying it out. Basically you either counter or swords dance the first turn and wait for the opponent to bring you to the sash. Once you've got the sash activated spam reversal. Aerial ace is for when the opponent is strong against fighting type attacks; not to mention technician strengthens it.

item: leftovers
31/31/29/31/31/15
sassy
evs: still deciding(feel free to suggest a spread)
bulk up
mach punch
bullet puch
fake out

Sassy is a strange nature for hitmontop right? Well since all of its attacking moves are priority it needs no speed, and therefore this is a worthy pokemon. Bulk up is to strengthen your attack/defense whenever you see possible. Fake out is to get free damage when switched in, after that you just use mach punch/bullet punch whenever you see fit. This set basically abuses technician along with walling at the same time. I'd love some suggestions for a spread. My special wall as well.

item: shuca berry
30/12/26/31/31/31
modest
evs:148 SpA/224 HP/138 Def
toxic
hp ice(perfect 70!)
stealth rock
flamethrower

This is a sp.atk sweeper while a supporter at the same time. It inflicts poison than continues to keep attacking when possible. Stealth rock grants a way to damage incoming pokemon. Hp ice grants a lot more coverage. Special Attack guarantees a 2HKO on 252/56 Careful Altaria@Lefties with HP Ice, HP ensures max Lefties (yes, with 30 HP IV), and the rest of the EV's go into Defense to ensure maximum physical walling ability.

item: life orb
26/31/31/9/31/31
adamant
evs: 252 atk, 122 def, 136 spd
poison jab
earthquake
crunch
glare

This set is quite average, I know but I've liked this set on my other team so I decided to use it once again. Glare is VERY handy, it has saved me multiple times in battles when I need to cripple something. The other moves are its best moves for coverage, poison jab for stab. I like it a lot...

483.png

item: choice specs
19/31/24/31/29/31
timid
evs: 252 spAtk; 252 spd; 6 hp
ice beam
shadow ball
psychic
thunderbolt

This has to be one of my favorite pokemon. It is an UU BEAST! I've had it wreck OU pokes before even. Try out-speeding this phantom! Great bolt-beamer, with varity. It's the starmie that got shadow ball stab. Psychic is a nice addition for this pokemon, as it allows it to kill all hitmons along with the other UU fighters. This also helps balance out the ground weaknesses of torkoal and seviper.

item: salac berry
31/31/25/5/31/31(mini guerra's)
jolly
evs: 252atk, 252spd, 6def
crabhammer
flail
endure
swords dance

This is my water type pokemon for the team. With hyper cutter, you'd have a MASSIVE amount of power on the flail one you were down to 1 hp. If I don't see the reason to do that, I'll either use swords dance or crabhammer for my stabed attack. Jolly for some added speed.

EDIT: for the record I've yet to test it.

Good to see a UU team without Ninetales, Meganium or Rotom on it.

I would really reccomend a wish passer because repeated blows from Sharpedo and Crawdaunt could really wear you down. You have one dark resist. Hitmontop, and repeated Crunches could wear you down.

ODDish, probably the best UU player likes to bother me about pointing this out, because Sharpedo and Crawdaunt are quite rare, but after several games of people being forced to sacrifice stuff to Choice Banded Crunch, I thought you should know.

Hate to be a party ruiner, but seriously watch out for Camerupt. With Rock Polish, it's probably taking out 2-3 pokemon before it goes down. Also watch out for Ninetales, who can Hypnotize your potential counter.

Also, you said that Froslass helps balance out your ground weaks. Do you mean it's immune to Ground? Because it doesn't have Levitate.

It outspeeds the majority of ground types is what I meant. Seviper has EQ to take out the ninetales. Kingler can semi-counter camerupt.

Hitmontop will need Adamant, Sassy is worse than Adamant anyway. You say that it uses priority moves, but if you can Bulk Up in the first turn, the next physical hit will be weaker. I don't know if I have explained it right...

THIS IS AN EXAMPLE. NO REAL NUMBERS

You send Hitmontop
I send Pinsir
Hitmontop used Fake Out
Pinsir lost 15%
Pinsir flinched

With Sassy nature:
Pinsir used Close Combat
Hitmontop lost 45%

With Adamant nature:
Hitmontop used Bulk Up
Pinsir used Close Combat
Hitmontop lost 30%

If you can get an Adamant one, you will be able to outspeed slow pokes with Bulk Up. Anyway, if you had bred this one, keep it.

I have an adamant one as well in my thread, should I use that one?(these ivs: 31/31/31/2/25/31. I used the sassy one though to boost the special defense) Either way though, it wouldn't out-speed a scarfed pinsir though lol, so I don't see the point. I get what you were trying to say but it wouldn't happen like that, it'd be more like this.

with sassy nature:
pinsir used close combat
Hitmontop lost 45%

with adamant nature:
pinsir used close combat
Hitmontop lost 45%

Besides though I'm using hitmontop for my sp.wall.

I think you should get Xatu in here somewhere. It's bulkier than it looks, and actually hits decently hard with STABed Psychic. Wish and Roost keep it around for a long time, and help you counter fighting types better. Scyther won't be able to stop all of them, and Xatu can risk coming in on anything, even Stone Edge occasionally, because it won't OHKO and you can get in on choiced CC or EQ and roost it off later.

Speaking of which, you don't have a lot of rock resists : /

kingler=anti-rock

Well who should I swap out than? I won't take out scyther, hitmontop, or torkoal.(I'm using those to advertise them in my thread) The rest is up for change though if need be.(well seviper is in the thread too, but I'm willing to swap it...)

EDIT: any ideas for the top set evs though? I'm looking for an interesting ev spread...
