That blueb haired-guy does look like Cyrus (well I don't know much blue haired guys in dp anyway so..)..and by looking closer Palkia and Dialga are behind Girtatina (shadowy summon XD).

I guess it's possible, but the whole idea of fooling with Regigigas just seems odd to me. GameFreak tried extra hard to make it bad (Slow Start for 5 turns, lowers Speed not just Attack, no REST for pete's sake). Why fix it now?
I see Palkia and Dialga now.. but behind Giratina? I though the only thing that those three would obey is Arceus.
Unless Arceus is god and Giratina is the devil, and Palkia and Dialga decide they want to be satanists, of course. Then there's the chance they are just illusions, or the Cyrus summoned them all via some crackpot theory.
She does like Ampharos though! >.<

Unfortunately for Jasmine though, there are no members of the Mangemite or Mareep family in the Sinnoh Dex. I guess the Sinnoh Dex could be changed for the sequel though. The way I see it, Volkner stays, or some random person out of nowhere appears (Juan in Emerald). That or Cyrus is the eighth Gym leader. After all, Sunnyshore was his hometown and he never had Team Galactic attack it. Leftover love, maybe?

Ah yes, Giratina. I guess if the opportunity to catch it presents itself before the National Dex/Elite 4, the dex will have to altered. Good point that I completely forgot about.
Although I would enjoy a revamp of the Sinnoh Pokedex as well, is it really necessary just because Giratina may be caught pre-E4? In FR or LG, the game didn't break when you traded over a non-Kanto Pokemon before getting the National Dex, its number just didn't show up. Upon catching Giratina, the Pokedex could simply say "Unknown Pokemon captured. No data present." Not being in the Sinnoh dex doesn't really restrict its use in any way.
Well, yes..but if it's the main story line..then it'll probably be in the dex.
Except in every game so far, when you catch a Pokemon, it gets registered in the Pokedex (with the exception of MissingNo and other glitch Pokemon). Trading is different, because it has nothing to do with the main plot. Not to mention all the kids who'd think they're Pokedex broke (I know I would've in my younger years) x(
As interesting as this is, this game probably won't even come to America until Spring 2009 based off the time delay from D/P. ;)
What do you guys think the chances of having part of the johto region in it are? Maybe like a small johto area only accesible after beating the game?

Ehh... A Johto remake would make more money for Nintendo. Adding Johto to Platinum, while making it more worthy of buying, would make less money then a D/P remake and a Johto remake as two separate games. I guess it's possible though, seeing as how Pokemon with their location being "caught in Johto" is in D/P's coding.
I don't think there would be a huge time delay in translating if Johto isn't included. I mean, most non-important NPC's will say exactly the same thing, so there isn't as much to translate. A rush job for Christmas maybe, if the Japan release date is indeed September. And that's if this game even will exist at all.
If they are altering the Sinnohdex - and as mentioned, they pretty much have to if Giratina is catchable - I hope they bump it to 200(/1) and include the new evos (462-478 and their prior forms). There are 49 Pokemon that would be added in that logic, add one for Giratina and suddenly you have 200 Pokemon in the Sinnoh Pokedex.

Actually, not only "caught in Johto" is in the coding, but "caught in Sinnoh" too. They probably added it just in case they decided to do a remake, but that doesn't really confirm anything.
Yeah, I agree. He'll probably have Magmortar (still lower leveled than Infernape). I think he'll either replace Steelix or Drifblim.
Arceus is more like one of the unattainable pokemon of each generation (Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Shaymin) and even has the same proportion of stats (Although higher).
I would guess that these "caught in ____" are there for in case a remake of Sinnoh is done and there is a new area that wasn't in D/P. Same for Johto. Rather then code all the routes and areas (including inside building, because Pokemon can be hatched inside them), they rather programmed it so that if a Johto remake was done, and a trade was done with D/P, D/P would change the "caught in route 57" to "caught in Johto". Same if a new route is added in a Sinnoh remake, instead of putting the route, it would read "caught in Sinnoh".

I would like to see 'Gigas kick some serious tail with Levitate. IT deserves the spot in Ubers that its base stats merit.

And I think Regi's Sky Form will have just a 600 Base Stat Total, so it won't be insta-banned to Uber. If you try to downgrade Regigigas' stats to 600 while keeping them with the same proportions, you get...
HP: 97 / Attack: 142 / Defense: 97 / Sp. Attack: 71 / Sp. Defense: 97 / Speed: 89 / Total: 593
Throwing the seven remaining points in HP, Attack and Speed (just to have more "round" stats), you get...
HP: 100 / Attack: 145 / Defense: 97 / Sp. Attack: 71 / Sp. Defense: 97 / Speed: 90 / Total: 600
We could even take a little from the Defenses and throw in the Sp. Attack, getting 100/145/90/85/90/90. I don't know what Game Freak is scheming for Regisky, but those stat spreads are pretty appealing (and OU-like, possibly) to me.
At least it won't be a Dragon/Ground with Sand Veil.
This is probably very nooby and fanboyish, but maybe the reason behind the blue outfit is you join with team galactic for some reason. This could be for spying purposes, the character could be captured and forced to, or, the worst one of all: [fail] Cyrus- "Lucas! I am your father!" [/fail].
