Hopefully it's part of some sort of system where your clothing changes depending on the environment. It wouldn't make much sense if you would run around in a winter coat all the time, unless the average temperature in Sinnoh suddenly dropped by 5 degrees...

Well, Sinnoh is based on Hokkaido, so I could see it being cold enough to require at least a long sleeve shirt or jacket for all non-summer months.
As for the clothes, I could very easily see Dawn keep her skirt even if she wore a sweater. If anime is any indication, it would just be a longer skirt, and I don't know if programmers would actually feel like changing it for that.
By the way, the beret is freaking hideous. It needs to be done away with all together.

I laughed when I realized Dawn didn't freeze to death trekking up route something to Snowpoint city in D/P. No warm clothing for her lower body whatsoever, just some skirt and those boots. The male character is more fit to go through that then her.
Just a thought, If the new Giratina form has levitate as its ability, do you think there's a chance that it'll get to learn roost?

well if a choice scarf can make you faster then is entirely possible that there's an anti-cold scarf that allows for short skirt in rough wather.

It's not confirmed to be true yet, but I was able to fully translate it earlier.
"Pre-orderers will get a special ticket worth a Shinx egg with special moves".
It's most likely a ticket ingame, but nothing is specified, nor do we know if it'll be Japan-only. But right now any bit of information is to be valued, ne?

Actually, I haven't heard about a special Shinx egg. What did I miss?
Probably comes with Volt Tackle, perhaps shiny. I can't see what else the special move would be. "Special Ticket"?? Perhaps the ticket just has some kind of code that must be entered somewhere, like Electivire/Magmortar in PBR and Manaphy in Pokemon Ranger. It's the only way I can see the "ticket" working, unless it's something pre-programmed into first-edition games, which I doubt.

The blue skY blog is where all that info we have from Serebii was first posted. However, someone noticed the newspost said something about Shinx. Using my average japanese reading skills, I manage to make a quick translation, most notably revealing that it involved a Shinx egg and a ticket of some sort, but there was a kanji there that made things confusing for me, so I couldn't really get a spot-on translation. Now that I worked through my dictionary, I found out some other meanings to that kanji and was then able to translate it.
This. I'm surprised, in all its innovation, the Pokemon handheld series is still constricted to one model of each sex.
Imagine if there is a new map: Different Dimension, complete with dungeons, wild pokemon, and lurking Dialga/Palkia (like Kyogre and Groudon of Emerald).

The Shaymin portion refers to a Shaymin Mystery Gift, which isn't much help at all. It's a gigantic shame how entire story sections of the game are ignored in favor of Nintendo just giving us an un-nicknameable, un-soft resettable, generic version of super rare Pokes.
Did you know that Deoxys has his own battle themesong in Fire Red and Leaf Green? What a fucking waste. Arceus has his own song, too, which didn't make it onto the OST because "he doesn't exist" yet. How much do you want to bet non-Japanese people will ever get the chance to hear those songs (short of cheating)?

My own wishful thinking wants this to be true, but Ranger is mentioned nowhere in the text. It appears to be a Wireless Present for those people who go to see the upcoming Giratina movie.
