Been So Long!

Since I got back into COMPETITIVE PLAY, but now I'm interested into getting back into it and what better way too do it by getting some critique! I posted this over at Serebii when Smogon was down a couple of days ago, now I wanna hear your guys opinions!

Flygon@Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Naughty
Evs: 252 Atk /120 SpA /136 Spe

Draco Meteor
Earthquake
Stone Edge
U-Turn

I just love this thing!! It's an awesome lead when Choice Scarf is attached to it!! Draco Meteor OHKOs both Garchomp and Salamence with 4 Hp invested in the Evs spread, so that's always a bonus in my book! U-Turn is for scouting out pokes that I might have trouble with. Stone Edge is for Ice types and other things like Gyra which I can 2 OHKO with Stone Edge no matter how Bulky the Ev spread may be! Plus it gets Levitate as an ability so that I come on free Earthquakes for anybody else on the team! What a true team player!

Heatran@Leftovers/Life Orb
Ability: Flash Fire
Nature: Modest
Evs: 252 HP /96 Def /100 SpA /60 SpD

Sleep Talk
Lava Plume
Earth Power
Rest

Flygon's little DIRT EATING buddy!!! Heatran is my Status Absorber and Special Wall!!!! This thing is just awesome all on it's own!!!! Lava Plume has a 30% percent burn rate for things that will think twice about coming in on me and Earth Power is for other opposing Fire types! It also has a chance of dropping the opponents Special Defense so I can win those long out stall matches with other walls like Blissey and such!

Feraligatr@Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
Nature: Adamant
Evs: 28 HP /252 Atk /228 Spe

Dragon Dance
Superpower
Ice Punch
Waterfall

Meh I dare to be different!

Roserade~0.png

Roserade@Black Sludge/Life Orb
Ability: Natural Cure
Nature: Timid
Evs: 4 Hp/252 SpAtk/252 Speed

Leaf Storm
Hidden Power [Fire]
Shadow Ball
Toxic Spikes

Toxic Spiker though I think that Tentacruel would fit the role better but I wanted one that could hit hard also! I don't know a good Ev spread for it since it's been a while since I didn't play Competitive! I know some people will say go to Smogon I checked but I need a bulkier Ev spread!

Gliscor@Leftovers
Ability: Sand Veil
Nature: Impish
Evs: 252 HP/4 Atk /252 Def

Earthquake
Stealth Rock
Aerial Ace
Roost

Hera Counter and Physical Wall!

Alakazam.png

Alakazam@Choice Specs
Ability: Synchronize
Nature: Timid
Evs: 4 HP /252 SpA /252 Spe

Focus Blast
Energy Ball
Psychic
Trick
Special sweeper and Tricker

I am considering swapping Roserade for something, but I don't know what?

I hope that this is atleast something good for coming back to the Competitive scene!

There isn't really a way for this team to face and to switch in to a Gengar. Heatran is the closest thing that comes to being the Special Wall, but most Gengars carry Focus Blast, which is not something Heatran wants to get hit with. The most common Gengar is Choice Scarf right now, being one of the most used leads with HP [Ice] can give your Flygon possibly some trouble.

Blissey can fix this, Celebi could work, but Gengar has Shadow Ball. I would recommend also recommend taking out Feraligatr for a better Sweeper like Gyarados, or something that can hit fast, but you want to be different, so dunno. You can take out Alakazam for blissey, since Heatran would help you alot, for one being your status absorber.

Blissey set;

Blissey @ Leftovers * Wish Blissey
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Nature: Bold
- Wish
- Protect
- Toxic / Ice Beam
- Flamethrower

The blissey set that can work with your team, helps out with Gengar, and helps you stall in those needed moments with the help of Rosarade, of course it's completely walled by Heatran, but that's what your Fereligart is for.

Hope I helped.

Thanks!!! I was thinking about replacing Feraligatr anyways! This team has been doing good on Shoddy! It has some wins and some losses! The losses I could understand! I will take this advice you have given me!!! Thanks so much for replying!

Well this team is very weak to Gyarados since after a DD it KOs everything. Flygon can only 2HKO with Stone Edge (barring a Critical hit) while Gyarados OHKOs everything. I suggest you add in Celebi over Roserade. It can counter Gyarados quite well and gives you more Garchomp coverage (you can never have enough Garchomp coverage). It goes well with Heatran also making the common CeleTran combo. Most of your team isn't affected by Toxic Spikes so you shouldn't need Roserade much and you also have no anti-spinner so spikes gets blown away easily.

Speaking of Heatran you should change your Evs to 252 HP/208 SpDef/48 SpAtk and give it Leftovers. This bulkier spread allows you to take special hits better making both standard (no Life Orb) Gengar and Starmie's attacks 3HKOs.

Well in the metagame right now Alakazam isn't so useful as a special sweeper. Its easy pursuit bait for the likes of and Tyranitar (if its stuck with specs) and it gets only average type coverage. Something like Gengar or Deoxys would be better special sweepers over Alakazam. They get better type coverage (Deoxys gets better speed) which is alot more important now.

Well overall I see Mamoswine as a problem, but its really on the decline and you shouldn't see it that much. Celebi does okay against the LO ones (which are the only ones really used) and Feraligatr does okay also. You can always consider another Bulky water like Gyarados over Feraligatr if it doesn't work out for you. Well thats about it.

CB Mamoswine also runs over your team. You have 3 Pokemon that are weak against Ice type attacks (2 of which are 4x effective), and EQ can take out Heatran with relative ease. Thus I think you should switch Roserade for Forretress. Much better Toxic Spiker, and carries Gyro Ball.

HAHAHA!!! I was on Shoddy and that happen a good amount of times!!!

HMMMM Celebi I can see that working!!! I might aswell get rid of Feraligatr if Gyarados will be better for the team!!! I think I might use Gengar as the special sweeper since it can be unpredictable at times!
