(Rethought) team

After quite some research and egg steps, I think I've finally got something worth looking at:

dpmfa469.png
Yanmega @ Wise glasses Rash Speed Boost
4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe

Bug Buzz
Air Slash
Protect
Hypnosis

My starter in most cases, pretty good for scouting with protect (and speeding up w/ a speed boost), and then putting to sleep + killing/ switching into a counter.

dpmfa468.png
Togekiss @ Leftovers Calm Serene Grace
252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD

Air Slash
Aura Sphere
Thunder Wave
Roost

Prime annoyer :P, easy to switch into special attacks, and can strike back with thunder wave, and air slash/flinch the opponent to death.

dpmfa466.png
Electivire @ Expert Belt Adamant Motor Drive
4 HP / 252 Att / 252 Spe

Thunder Punch
Earthquake
Cross Chop
Ice Punch

Standard Electivire.. usually switch him in based on an anticipated electric attack (usually towards togekiss, yanmega, or gyarados when I use him), and then roll right on through with usually super effective hits.

dpmfa373.png
Salamence @ Choice Scarf Mild Intimidate
4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe

Dragon Pulse
Flamethrower
Hydro Pump
Draco Meteor

Since I got pretty lucky with IVs on this guy, (maxed SpA) I decided to try the choice scarf instead of the usual specs with this set, and usually it does its job pretty well. While it's not an easy switch in, he can usually 1HKO pretty much any uncovered threat to my team with Draco Meteor, Dragon Pulse is for the standard, reliable attack slot, flamethrower and hydro pump are just for more type coverage.

dpmfa472.png
Gliscor @ Leftovers Impish Sand Veil
252 HP / 4 Att / 252 Def

Earthquake
Ice Fang
Stealth Rock
Roost

I've found it pretty easy to switch into this guy by anticipating Earthquakes towards Electivire, but I guess that's not always a reliable method, so I've gotta work on that :P Earthquake is for a good STAB move, and Ice fang hits the dragons and grass types.

dpmfa392.png
Infernape @ Life Orb Naive Blaze
24 Att / 252 SpA / 232 Spe

Flamethrower
Close Combat
Nasty Plot
Grass Knot

This guy basically just takes care of the guys who scare the pants off of most of my team. (Mainly ice)

I'd appreciate as much constructive criticism as possible, thanks!

Unless I'm counting wrong, you have 7 Pokemon. o_O I'd ditch Kingdra, since imo it has no place on a non-Rain team unless it's Dragon Dancing or something.

Otherwise looks decent enough, I guess.

Infernape and Kingdra often swap places, but yeah, I often find that Kingdra can survive a hit or two, thus letting it afford to use rain dance and sweep from there on out.

And I'm not trying to make you guys build me a team :P I simply posted the extra guys in case you thought "oh! that _____ should replace _____ on the team" or something...

Thats a good team, well spread but i would go for a team with a theme

take advantage of sand veil and get atleast one rock pokemon to tale advantage of the sandstorm boost

or have a rain team with kingdra

I'm not saying have a whole team of these and try to spread rolls and stuff around but try to get a few pokes to work together with people that cover their weakneses

(eg TTar Chomp and Rhyperior + Gengar Electivire Alakazam)

If that's the case...you have a Stealth Rock problem. Now since you don't have a Pokemon in your arsenal that has Rapid Spin, consider putting Wish over Roost on Togekiss. Another issue is that you have 4 Pokemon weak to Ice-type attacks, and again you don't really have anything that can switch in (well you have Infernape, but he shouldn't be taking hits, especially with Life Orb).

Well besides Blissey* , what'd be a good option to defend against/ strike back against the ice types? (and I am thinking about adding a starmie for rapid spin support in place of togekiss in most situations)

*I hate blisseys

Maybe remove Togekiss for Empoleon? It has a 4x resistance to ice and is a good tank on the special side, not unlike Togekiss. It's weaknesses are already covered by your team, so its not adding anything bad.

It can also fare as a SpecsMence counter which you may have trouble with, as it can KO most of your pokemon (Though your scarfmence outruns it).

Also... why is your Salamence Mild? Wouldn't Modest be better, as your not actually using attack and you may need that defense to switch into fighting moves?
