This is simply awesome. It must get Stun Spore. Please let it get Stun Spore. Don't disappoint me Game Freak. Please.
 
Lol even without Stun Spore it is stlil pretty good. Serene Grace + Seed Flare?? wow you will be getting tons of SpD drops and Flinch Haxxing just like good ol' Togekiss.
 
[My] Togekiss would give her life for Stun Spore so she could paralyze that stupid Garchomp [I think Body Slam is kinda iffy on something with 50 Atk]

So I hope Sky Sheimi can do that job for her!
 
Wow, I can't wait to abuse Air Slash and Seed Flare on that new Shaymin =D.

The new WiFi areas and Battle Frontier sound like a lot of fun, I hope move tutors come back too.
 
Scarf Shaymin... Seed Flare and Air Slash... 80% chance to low 2 levels Special Defense and 60% flinch rate... this will be in top 10 as soon as we could get it. If you hated Togekiss, be ready for this beast...
 
Giratina's Origin Forme sprite looks badass, but what the hell did they do to its old one? I'm fairly certain it will be changeable though, if Shaymin is, seeing as how its Origin Forme is the version mascot. Maybe you visit the Giratina room in Turnback Cave? Also, Shaymin's Sky Forme moves & ability certainly does look intriguing.

What I'm most psyched about is the fact that there's a Battle Frontier and Battle Recorder.
 
In all fairness, Bidoof looks ridiculous no matter what its sprite is. It's pretty hard to see Shaymin, so it might not be that bad, I don't know. As for Giratina, it almost looks like it's trying to use its wings as claws or something. The weird thrusting body pose I can live with, but the wings are really screwed up.
 
Just a question, who counters a Scarf Shaymin, with Seed Flare, Air Slash, HP Ice and Psychic? We need to know its speed, but Dragons will lose against HP Ice, other Grass and Bug types against Air Slash, and the rest against Seed Flare. Blissey won't be safe with the Sp. Defense drop. Only Regice with Clear Body would be safe, and an Ice Beam should OHKO Shaymin.

If it gets an speed over 110... it could be high OU or maybe Uber...
 
Heatran sounds like a pretty good counter still. As for OU/Uber, I think it would at least be nice to see Shaymin shine after being horribly underrated for so long.

Skarmory, Heatran, Ice Beam Bliss (really, it will take a few SDef drops to get Bliss down), Jirachi with an Ice move, Metagross, Regice.

I'm hoping it gets Growth or Nasty Plot or something like that. Growth/Air Slash/HP Ground/Seed Flare, anyone?
 
Shaymin's gonna be one mean little critter.

Even with those three moves, little guy hits a lot. Hopefully he'll get a good support move, but I think we're pushing our luck.

For some odd reason, I'm not even sure if he can get Seed Flare, unless his form-changing works like Deoxys'.

Y'know...he'll probably get Roost, too. O:

One of the earliest Flying Shaymin snapshots show him using Seed Flare against an Empoleon.
 
Oh, it did? I must have overlooked the Seed Flare.

Only reason I was skeptical over the moves they got was because...

Land Forme with Air Slash? Something just wouldn't fit correctly. XP

Well Attack Deoxys with Iron Defense doesn't make sense, and yet it is still possible. The point is, it is unlikely that they will force you to delete moves upon form switching. I mean Sheddy gets Swords Dance upon evolution and not anywhere else right? And a non Dragon Arceus learning Draco Meteor can follow the same thing too. So if Sky Shaymin gets Roost then the land one should too, even if it means requiring the form change
 
I know, but I hope you understand what I mean.

Land Forme can't even get off the ground, so it'd be weird to see it with Roost. Not really complaining, just saying it's something funny to think about.

  • [*]Pokémon Platinum is set for a September 13th 2008 release in Japan
    [*]You have to face Team Galactic once more, but it seems their plans and HQ have been stepped up a fair bit
    [*]The Battle Frontier returns and takes place in the Fight Area in Sinnoh. There are different areas in the Battle Frontier, their battle quirks are not yet known. However, it does still contain the Battle Tower
    [*]The WiFi area has been enhanced with various areas which support up to 20 people at any one time
    [*]The Poffin making has taken a step up and has a new feature that involves a Swalot machine. You essentially throw berries into its mouth. This can be done over WiFi in the new WiFi area
    [*]The Battle Recorder, an item seen on the Shaymin pictures last week, allows you to record battles that you hold and share them with your friends. This is done at the new & improved GTS in Jubilife City, which has a bigger global terminal
    [*]There is also confirmation of the Shaymin form changes and a note about the Giratina ones. It appears that like in the movie, Giratina's Origin Forme can only be used in the Torn World, and its in its Another Forme elsewhere. It is unknown if there will be an item to use to keep it in its Origin Forme, but the main method will be revealed next month
    [*]Shaymin Sky Forme's ability is Serene Grace. It appears to be more focused in Speed and Special Attack and knows the move Air Slash.
    [*]Giratina's Origin Forme's ability is Levitate.
    [*]The pictures also indicate and confirm new sprites for each Pokémon including Bidoof, Giratina's Another Forme & Shaymin's Land Forme
    [*]Confirmation of the new characters shown last month, one is a member of Team Galactic, and the other is part of an international police force and is hunting Team Galactic

Do you think every Pokémon will be getting a new sprite? Or maybe just the ones in the Sinnoh dex? Giving Bidoof a new sprite, and no-one else, is a bit strange...
 
crap........that's the sound of sky forme shaymin slowing dropping excreta on blissey's face with its gigantic 80% chance of Sp.Def drop and this thing is said to be more focused tin spd/sp.a so it get anything more than a 100 bye bye Garchoimp? Thisd thing mightr have to be banned to ub ers
 
I had been hoping Shaymin would get Serene Grace but thought it was very unlikely. I'm a happy boy right now. Emphasis on speed and special attack? Hells yeah. I hope my stats weren't too far off.
