OU Team.

Here is my OU team which I use on Shoddy. I feel there is a lot of room for improvement so hopefully I'll get some good ratings here. ^_^ (Btw I don't mind if you completely rip this team apart. ;) )

Strategy at bottom of post.

Bronzong@Leftovers
Relaxed, Levitate
252 HP/152 Atk/96 SpDef
-Earthquake
-Charge Beam
-Stealth Rock
-Hypnosis

I like Bronzong as an opener, because SR really helps my team and I benefit from having the a member of the opponents team asleep. Bronzong is one of the two defensive members of my team, and I choose 'Zong because I like having a tank that can take Physical and Special hits, Bronzong fits this role. Charge Beam for opening Gyarados.

Suicune@Leftovers
Bold, Pressure
252 HP & Def/4 SpAtk
-Calm Mind
-Roar
-Surf
-Ice Beam

The second of the two defensive members of my team. I used Suicune because I reckoned my team could benifit from a Phazer, not only to phaze but also to find out about my opponents team, for example if I know what they use as a defensive wall early it helps. Also Suicune can also take special hits quite well, so as with Bronzong I decided to use Suicune. Also, I need to Suicune to make my opponent use Electric attacks so 'Vire can switch in. ;)

Porygon-Z@Life Orb
Modest, Adaptability
252 SpAtk + Speed/4 HP
-Tri Attack
-ThunderBolt
-Ice Beam
-Phychic

Well, my team needs a fast Sp Attacker and I've loved Porygon Z as a Special Sweeper, so I went for a Life Orb set. Z's role is basicallyto be my Special Attacker!

Salamence@Choice Band
Naughty, Intimidate
252 Atk + Speed/4 HP
-Earthquake
-Dragon Claw
-Flamethrower
-Rock Slide

Salamence is here to be my Physical Attacker. I went for a Choice Band set because the opponent may be expecting Specs, and I could take out their Special Tank/Wall. And also, if I lure their Physical wall out, Flamethrower will take them out (If said wall has a Fire weakness that is xD)

Electivire@Expert Belt
Mild, Motor Drive
76 HP/180 Speed/252 SpAtk
-Cross Chop
-Thunderbolt
-Flamethrower
-HP [ICE]

I though my team could use Vire to suprise the opponent with a Special set, and hopefully hurt their Physical Wall/Tank, and generally mess their team up xP.

Gyarados@Life Orb
Adamant
Intimidate
72HP/252Atk/186Speed
-Earthquake
-Waterfall
-Ice Fang
-Dragon Dance

So, the main strategy of this team is to try and clear the path for Gyarados to sweep after one DD, hence the large amount of attack EVs. Now, I am not too good at team building, so I may not have built this team very well, but my plan is just to use my other my Pokemon to weaken the opponents team enough for Gyarados. I am unsure if this set is right for the Gya I want, I find that it can't take some pokemon out even after one DD and max Attack EVs. Examples are Garchomp not being OHKO'd with a Waterfall (Before I had Ice Fang) and Weavile not being OHKO'd with Earthquake. So, I need some help with some of these sets and I reckon I should have used some of these pokemon in the first place!

Well the team looks okay, but you really have problems facing Gengar. You should use Gyro Ball over Earthquake on your lead Bronzong instead and give it a Lum Berry to OHKO Gengar leads.

Psychic has bad type coverage on Porygon-Z and you will be better off using Tri Attack, HP Fighting, Dark Pulse, and Nasty Plot instead. Tri Attack is powerful enough so that you should only have to worry about hitting things that resist normal which are all hit super effective by dark/fighting.

I suggest you change your Salamence using Dragon Dance and Roost instead of Choice Band. CBmence gives too many chances for your opponent to set up and since you dont have a rapid spinner Salamence should get worn out from switching. Roost lets you switch in many times and also helps alot more in countering fighitng types such as Lucario and Heracross.

Thanks, but I should I still use Life Orb if I put Nasty Plot on Porygon?

And also, Is the Gyarados set alright?
