It's my first day on the forums, so if I messed something up I'd like to appologize ahead of time. I'm a bit new to the competitive enviornment too, so if you decide to help me please don't roast me over being wrong.
Name: Weavile (Knuckles)
Ability: Pressure
Nature: Jolly (-SAtk, +Spd)
EVs: 20 Hp/ 236 Atk/ 252 Spd
Item: Focus Sash
- Sword Dance
- Brick Break
- Night Slash
- Ice Shard
I like Weavile's moveset a lot. Those who fear Weavile pay for it with Sword Dance, it boosts Weavile's attack to pretty high levels and allows it to sweep well. I've added Ice Shard to avoid getting pounched by Sacrf'd opponents.
Name: Empoleon (Boss)
Ability: Torrent
Nature: Modest (-Atk, +SAtk)
EVs: 160 Hp/ 106 Def/ 244 SAtk
Item: Leftovers
- Stealth Rock
- Ice Beam
- Grass Knot
- Surf
With it's sturdy defenses, Empoleon makes a good choice for Stealth Rock. The second reason for it being my Stealth Rock user is because it can be misleading when an opponent trys to figure out it's moveset.
Name: Drifblim (Spooky)
Ability: Unburden
Nature: Modest (-Atk, +SAtk)
EVs: 236 Hp/ 252 Sp. Atk/ 20 Spd
Item: Petaya Berry
- Substitute
- Thunder Bolt
- Baton Pass
- Explosion
Drifblim has been chosen because it can eat some pretty heavy attacks. Usually I set up Substitute after a reasonable hit to bring Drifblim down enough to use Petaya Berry and activate Unburden. With Substitute in place it can sweep with a boosted SAtk stat and doubled speed. Thunder Bolt covers Steel Pokemon who are resistant to both Explosion and Shadow Ball. If I catch a fat pink blob switching in, I'm using Explosion to put a dent in her.
Name: Garchomp (Ripjaw)
Ability: Sand Veil
Nature: Jolly (-SAtk, +Spd)
EVs: 6Hp/ 252 Atk/ 252 Spd
Item: Yache Berry
- Sword Dance
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Fire Fang
I make up for the EVs taken away from Garchomp's attack stat with Sword Dance + Yache Berry. The first instinct people have when they see Garchomp is to put up a Physical Wall or switch into something that can deal with it. I use Sword Dance to make use of the switch and begin to sweep. Fire Fang is for type coverage, and I've opted Dragon Claw over Outrage because I don't want to get locked into facing something like Metagross.
Name: Dusknoir (Grim)
Ability: Pressure
Nature: Impish (-SAtk, +Def)
EVs: 252 Hp/ 146 Def/ 112 SDef
Item: Leftovers
- Will-o-wisp
- Night Shade
- Shadow Sneak
- Pain Split
Dusknoir has been given the usual moveset, I suppose. Fire Punch over Thunder/Ice Punch for Breloom and Heracross who may try to switch in to counter Will-o-wisp. Shadow Sneak ignores Dusknoir's abyssmal speed and makes use of it's decent attack stat.
Snorlax (Sleepy)
Ability: Thick Fat
Nature: Careful (-SAtk, +SDef)
EVs: 252 Hp/ 6 Atk/ 252 SDef
Item: Leftovers
- Rest
- Curse
- Body Slam
- Pursuit
Body Slam paralyzes my opponents and usually pursuades the use of Aromatherapy or Heal Bell from an opponent's team supporter. Pursuit catches fleeing Pokemon who realize Snorlax isn't going down. Body Slam is for stab, pure annoyance, and paralysis as stated above.
