[RMT] UU

Well, I made a UU team on Shoddy, and its doing pretty good. So, I decided to post it.

The Team:

Absol (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Super Luck
EVs: 252 Atk/6 Def/252 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Night Slash
- Psycho Cut
- Pursuit
- Rock Smash

This thing is good. It kills Psychics and it's just good.

Omastar (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Shell Armor
EVs: 252 HP/6 Atk/252 Def
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Surf
- Spikes
- Protect
- Toxic Spikes

A spiker. Also helps my team from Swellow.

Venusaur (M) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Overgrow
EVs: 236 HP/20 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Hidden Power [Ground]
- Leaf Storm
- Sludge Bomb
- Grass Knot

This thing surprises people and is good. It can 2HKO Hypno with Leaf Storm. HP Ground is for Probopass.

Altaria (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP/200 Def/56 SDef
Careful nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Dragon Claw
- Roar
- Roost
- Earthquake

This thing is a Ninetales counter. And a shuffler after Omastar lays out Spikes and Toxic Spikes and after Claydol lays out Stealth Rocks.

Claydol @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/144 Def/114 SDef
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Earth Power
- Psychic
- Stealth Rock
- Rapid Spin

Fighting counter and Spinner.

Jynx (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Forewarn
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Lovely Kiss
- Substitute
- Ice Beam

This thing is just... good... It swept for me so many times and probably the reason I win a couple of my matches.

Cloyster > Omastar. Omastar should really only be used as a sweeper with rain support. It also has far higher defense (albeit worse HP) and functions as a second physical wall should Claydol die. Although you may not want the extra Rock weakness, so...I leave that option up to you.

Good luck with your team! ^_^

Without Omastar, he's quite Swellow weak. Cloyster is a decent switch-in, but being weak to rocks and neutral to Facade isn't not a reliable counter in the least.

And that too, it can't set up TS.

Exactly.

Thanks anyways.

I think that using Super Luck on Absol would be better, becuase Absol wouldn't be able to take that many hits, so Pressure is pretty useless. Super Luck gives you a bit of, well, luck. Also, isn't Brick Break better than Rock Smash? Correct me if I am wrong.

Lol why does it have Pressure? I did that by mistake, thanks for pointing that out, though.

Cloyster totally learns Toxic Spikes, hence why I suggested it. o_o; It's even in the analysis..

And has a slightly better support movepool.

Cloyster doesn't wall as much as you think it would. Omastar is perfectly fine against Swellow. There are too many Poison-Type Pokemon to warrant the use of Toxic Spikes in the UU metagame. I recommend switching it for Hidden Power Grass to fend off other Bulky Waters or Rain Dance. Other unorthodox options include Protect or Tickle. Depending on the last move you may want to re-consider EV's putting them more into Special Attack and Speed over Defense and Hit Points.

Expert Belt/ Choice Band or plain jain Leftovers on Absol. Drop Psycho Cut for Sucker Punch. I would put Choice Scarf on your Luna-Jynx and changing the moveset more to take down walls from the special side of the spectrum and focusing more on making Altaria your prime sweeper.

I'll make one quick remark. Do NOT let Absol die because if it does, and they have just cleared the field, then nothing on your team can even HURT Shedinja, as rare as it is. Altaria can Roar it, but...you need something else to hurt Sheddy. It can be Toxic on something or a Super effective move, but ensure you get extra support against it.

Should a Ninetales run Nasty Plot/Flamethrower/Energy Ball/Hidden Power Ice with a Life Orb, it will also cause massive damage. This is another rare case, but definitely watch out for it.

Glaceon can give you problems too. One way to remedy these 3 situations is with Flareon, as unsightly and barren its movepool is, but it can cope with all 3 of these threats. It's definitely worth a consideration.

That's all I can find that stands out.

Let's just say I've had my close runs vs. Shedinja. You could opt for a Ghost-type to block Rapid Spinners and let your entry hazards take their constant toll. That would at least ensure Shedinja can't do much.
