OU RMT

This team has been pretty good on shoddy, so I think I should post it.

The Team Itself:
dpmba130.png

Gyarados (M) @ Leftovers (Intimidate)
Adamant (+Atk, -SpA)
EVs: 216 HP / 16 Atk / 176 Def / 100 Spe
~ Dragon Dance
~ Taunt
~ Waterfall
~ Earthquake

Just your regular BulkyGyara. Intimidate and Taunt make this thing a good lead, along with DD. Waterfall for STAB, and Earthquake for coverage.

dpmba485.png

Heatran (M) @ Choice Specs (Flash Fire)
Modest (+SpA, -Atk)
EVs: 32 HP / 252 SpA / 224 Spe
~ Fire Blast
~ Earth Power
~ Dragon Pulse
~ Explosion

Heatran is amazing. Fire Blast can do amazing amounts of damage, enough to 3HKO Swampert and Gyarados. Earth Power is for other Heatran and rock types. It 2HKO's Rhyperior and Tyranitar in the Sand. Dragon Pulse OHKO's every Dragon in OU. Explosion is for special walls, like Blissey and Snorlax.

Let me explain the EVs. The standard is 40 HP / 252 SpA / 216 Spe, but with 224 Speed, you'll outrun Gliscor with 72 Speed EVs, which is made to outrun 216 Speed Heatran.

dpmba445.png

Garchomp (M) @ Yache Berry (Sand Veil)
Jolly (+Spe, -SpA)
EVs: 6 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
~ Swords Dance
~ Fire Fang
~ Earthquake
~ Outrage

Simple, set up an SD and sweep. Earthquake and Outrage for STAB, which is unresisted by only Skarm and Zong, which Fire Fang covers. Nothing can switch into this safely.

dpfba242.png

Blissey (F) @ Leftovers (Natural Cure)
Calm (+SpD, -Atk)
EVs: 252 Def / 80 SpA / 176 SpD
~ Softboiled
~ Ice Beam
~ Toxic
~ Thunderbolt

Thunderbolt on Blissey? Yes. Thunderbolt hits Gyara, who can otherwise Taunt you and make you useless, which can really help against Gyara. If you know T-Bolt, the battle should go like this; They use Dragon Dance or Taunt, and you Thunderbolt. They Waterfall, and then you Thunderbolt for the kill. It can live a Life Orb DD Max Attack Gyara's Waterfall, too.

Ice Beam for bulky grounds, Dragonite, Garchomp, and Salamence, and gets great coverage with Thunderbolt.

Toxic helps with stall wars against Cresselia and other Blissey. Without Seismic Toss, I'm hopeless in stall wars.

Softboiled is just Softboiled.

The Special Attack EV's give it a 50% chance to break Jolteon's Subs with Ice Beam.

dpmba450.png

Hippowdon (M) @ Leftovers (Sand Stream)
Impish (+Def, -SpA)
EVs: 252 HP / 6 Atk / 252 Def
~ Earthquake
~ Slack Off
~ Stealth Rock
~ Ice Fang

Hippowdon lets Garchomp abuse Sand Veil, and is a good Physical Wall. Earthquake and Ice Fang for STAB and coverage, Slack Off for recovery, and Stealth Rock for... Stealth Rock.

dpmba134.png

Vaporeon (M) @ Leftovers (Water Absorb)
Bold (+Def, -Atk)
EVs: 188 HP / 252 Def / 68 SpD
~ Wish
~ Hidden Power (Electric)
~ Ice Beam
~ Surf

Mixape counter, Gyara counter, Garchomp "counter," and Wish Support. Vaporeon really helps me alot with Wish.

Threat List:

Tyranitar - Hippowdon

Gyarados - Vaporeon

Infernape - Vaporeon

Azelf - Blissey, Vaporeon

Electivire - Hippowdon

Heracross - Hippowdon, Gyarados

Salamence - Vaporeon

Togekiss - Blissey

Gengar - Blissey, Vaporeon

Garchomp - Vaporeon

Lucario - Garchomp, Gyarados, Hippowdon (SD), Blissey (Specs)

Ursaring - Garchomp, Hippowdon

Starmie - Blissey

Weavile - Vaporeon

Dugtrio - Hippowdon

Porygon-Z - Blissey

Machamp - Hippowdon

Snorlax - Hippowdon, Garchomp

Zapdos - Blissey

Suicune - Vaporeon, Garchomp

Breloom - Hippowdon

Ninjask - Hippowdon, Vaporeon

Metagross - Hippowdon

Heatran - Blissey

Celebi - Blissey, Heatran

Jirachi - Garchomp

Dragonite - Vaporeon

Mamoswine - Vaporeon, Hippowdon

Gallade - Garchomp

Yanmega - Blissey, Vaporeon

Kingdra - Vaporeon

Roserade - Blissey

Scizor - Heatran

Deoxys-S - Heatran With Spikes or Stealth Rock, I have no counters.

If your team gets worn down, deoxys-e will sweep you easily. heatran isn't bulky enough, and hippowdon has a whole bunch of other jobs it needs to be doing. If you let your opponents get down spikes and stealth rock and they have deoxys, consider it gg.

Hippowdon doesn't count it, but Heatran does. Superpower has a chance to 2HKO Heatran, and it's not like I'll be swiching in on Superpower, so Heatran can counter it. But with Spikes and SR, I'm done. What should I do to counter it?

You could try leading with specsmence, switching heatran to pursuit metagross, and vaporeon to rapid spinning starmie. Starmie does the same thing vap does except the weavile kill, but metagross can do that. Heatran wasn't doing much for your team anyway, I can tell by looking at the counters list. BTW I would make it a cb gross so you can catch some celebis switching in. Also make sure specsmence has fire blast, I think it has a chance of ohkoing zong leads.

If I do that, then I'll have 2 pokemon 4x Weak to Ice, and only 2 pokes that take half damage from Ice attacks.. Heatran has helped me alot, I don't know how or why, but it's just good.

Dragon Pulse OHKO's every Dragon in OU

You're mistaken here. Dragon Pulse doesn't KO any of the dragons, doing 79%-93% on Salamence, the least bulky of them. I'd switch to HP Ice, since it's on shoddy it shouldn't be a problem. Also, I would suggest putting Life Orb over Leftovers on Heatran [and possibly change it to Rash]. You have a nice defensive core, so I think Life Orb would help increase your damage output (Gyarados and Garchomp aren't too scary being the only sweepers). It also makes Heatran's rather pitiful Explosion pack a lot more of a punch.

Also, your two walls have almost identical coverage, so they can only counter the same things. I would suggest one of the following:

Either
---> Change Blissey to Bold, 252hp,252def,4SpA, and put Calm Mind over Toxic. This will make Blissey much more of a threat to other pokemon, and you can also stall opponent's out by out-Calm Minding them.

---> Change HP Electric on Vaporeon to Protect. You already have your Blissey to take care of Gyarados, and Protect will guarantee you recovery with Wish. Very effective for scouting, and if Blissey has Toxic will help greatly in stalling out other walls.

One last note. Your team is really 'balanced'. This may seem like a good thing, but it can cause problems. It means that Stall teams will outstall you and win, whereas you can't stand up to an offensive team's assault or retaliate significantly. I don't know how to fix this without changing the team significantly, but I think you should keep that in mind when you're battling.

Hope I help.

Then keep gyara. I just thought you could use another sp.sweeper. I was looking at your threat list not types, my bad.

Blissey doesn't counter Gyara, so I need HP Electric. And I don't want CM Bliss, it's gets beaten on the Physical side too easily.

Oh and btw Heatran's page on smogon say that it OHKO's every Dragon.

Then keep gyara. I just thought you could use another sp.sweeper. I was looking at your threat list not types, my bad.

What special sweeper should I use though...

Replace Gyarados with a mixpert imo. Mixpert is a great Deoxys - S sweeper counter and unlike physical swampert he's not really walled by Zong and other more common leads, and can SR in the lead slot, freeing up that slot on Hippowdon for Roar or another offensive move. He also provides additional coverage against Metagross and Tyranitar.

Also, either scarf, specs or LO that heatran, that isn't a defensive EV spread, it's not going to be in a position to benefit all that much from those lefties.

Maybe somehow you can get a mixvire in there with hp grass, thunderbolt, ice punch, and cross chop. Bronzong walls you, but you can get in on those Swamperts that think they can wall you. Also, you have the thunderbolt drag in by having your gyarados. Kepp your electivire hidden until you expect a thunderbolt going to gyarados and bam. Motor Drive boost. Look on smogon's page for Mixvire's EVs.

I guess I'll try Mixpert.

And I meant to have Choice Specs on Heatran, I made a typo...
