Ya betta ask someboday!

I am fine with you thinking that the Chargers are going to win the Super Bowl, they have a VERY good chance. But......HOW THE HELL do you have the Seahawks making it to the super bowl!

Thats just ridiculous, I know the NFC is the weaker conference, but its not THAT WEAK.

I had a tough time picking them or Green Bay. I love both of their rosters.

-The Vikings look really strong, but I dont think their QB will make any progress in games that matter.
-The Giants defense, although it looked good last night, is not as good as it was last year.
-I'm not sure if the Saints even have a defense. I know that their running game isn't very good. Deuce is broken and Reggie Bush is a bust. I don't think Breesus can save that sinking ship.
-The Cowboys will find a way to lose, excuse me, choke.

welcome to this year's gbpackersfan, except that is quite the homerism...

there's almost no way chargers are going to even make super bowl especially since merriman is a dumbass playing with torn ligaments and will be long gone before that...

Had you paid attention to the NFL at all in the last five years, then you would realize that the Seahawks are arguably the best team over that time period. Additionally, they are headed by the coach in the NFL who has the most wins (and has taken his teams to the Super Bowl three times and won once, and had one blatantly robbed from them), and only Tony Dungy or Bill Belichick compare in terms of pace of winning, really.

Had you paid attention to the NFL last year, then you would have noticed that the NFC and AFC were tied going into the Super Bowl, with the Giants breaking the tie in favor of the NFC.

Please cease using a pejorative attitude to try to act as if you know more than you do about the NFL. Every team is loaded with talent, and the difference between missing the playoffs (the Giants could be argued as having made it solely due to a missed David Akers kick) and winning the Super Bowl is now apparently not that thin, although the Giants (albeit acknowledging any mathematical representation will be flawed) have been calculated in attempt at objective analysis as the most unlikely winner ever. The Chargers could just as easily go 5-11 as 11-5, so why even bother talking about Super Bowl chances or shit? It is the beginning of the season. Root for who you like and enjoy the games for what they are.

Im goign to try hard not to be a jack ass this year. Im nto going to praise other teams but im not gonna be a jackass.

Sweet deal sweet deal.

Im going to the MNF opener GB against the vikes its gonna be sweet.

K heres where im sitting with numbers

NFC
1. eagles
2. saints
3. Packers
4. Cardinals
5. cowboys
6. vikings

eagles will go 13-3 top seed.

Saints will be 11-5 and a number 2 seed nothing special

Packers 10-6 and 3 or 4
Cardinals 10-6 and 3 or 4

cowboys lol will be 11-5 with your top wildcard spot. i expect them to win 1 playoff game this year.

vikes will sneak in by virtue of the best line combination in the nfl. 9-7

Here are some bold prediction statements.
-The defending champions will be baffled by diversity, and will end up 8-8
-The Green Bay Packers will lead the lead in sacks, allowed and given(idk how else to say it)
-The Green Bay Packers will resort to a 3-4 Defense if they start out as a bad defensive team.
-The NE pats will impress (under the radar almost) and repeat a performace similar to 08
-Brett Favre will throw for more interceptions than TD's, realize hes a Packer, and retire following the season.
-The Madden curse will not end.
-Aaron Rodgers will lead the NFL in completion percentage.
-GB WR staff will lead the NFL in YAC.
-GB RB in the first 4 weeks will be horrific.
-Tavaris Jackson will be totaly ineffective
-vikes run game will not be as prolific as most people think
-vikes strong point will be defense over the obvious choice of their running game.
-GB's main problem will be injuries. If they stay healthy late they have a shot at coming up big

I dont honestly care about the AFC.

hey Cowboys winning a playoff game would be an improvement..

tired of them losing all the time in the playoffs.

I don't see why the Colts would fall off at all. Their OL was banged up last year anyway and aside that they're generally in better health right now. I don't think Harrison will ever have the same impact he used to, but he doesn't need to be. As for the Steelers, I think their shitty OL will hurt them more than the loss of the backup to one of the physically toughest QBs in the league.

LOL SEAHAWKS WE WANT THE BALL AND WE'RE GOING TO SCORE! ...At any rate, they're a pretty good team but they're only so successful because their division is a joke.

LOL EAGLES Looking for the Cowboys to continue their playoff choking streak isn't so farfetched but to deny their chances of winning the division again is just silly.

fucking o line

like what the fuck guys, let's take a really good halfback in the first round even though we have one of the best in the league already instead of like you know an O LINEMAN

jesus christ

anyway i'm curious as to why so many of you have the steelers doing so well, i think we'll be happy to make 10-6 with the fucking ridiculous schedule we have in front of us.

steelers08.png

divisionals in green, which are NEVER a "gimme" win in the afc north now that all 4 teams in there are "decent". although the ravens are debatable at this point. :]

really really hard games in red

look at that fucking stretch of games right there

i like to call that stretch the "holy shit" stretch

referring to the playoffs a year ago...

-super bowl champion giants
-super bowl runner up patriots
-afc champ runner up chargers
-afc divisional colts
-afc divisional jaguars
-nfc divisional cowboys

so basically, excluding the packers since they are favre-less now...

we play 6 of the top 7 teams from last season, all of which return this season going strong

5 of them in the span of 7 weeks

:chaos::chaos::chaos::chaos::chaos:

and don't forget the redskins and titans, both of which were eliminated in the wild cards, like the steelers themselves

if pitt doesn't 6-0 or 5-1 the afc north, the steelers are probably fucked.

Really sad that the Bears are unsatisfactory right now... Sigh

I support any team in Florida(I'm not even from Florida!), Chicago because I live in CHicago, and new orleans simply because they're Amazing.

As a die hard Bills fan this to be the most fun I've had watching them since the season opener upset against New England a few years back. Hopefully things won't go south after a few games like they did that season.

Damn, Brady is out in the first quarter, this better work out because Matt Cassel is not gonna cut it. Thanks god our first five games are fairly easy.

brady B(

Its a real shame for someone like him to be out. Hes a real leader on the field.

In other news, the ravens beat the bengals and I have to say 1. Flacco is amazing so far, definitely an improvment over boller and 2. bengals defense is terribly bad and the offense isnt looking too good either.

Steelers will win the afc north even with that ridiculous schedule.

The Panthers basically dominated the Chargers all game long...but the playcalling was just pathetic. Seriously, the were running all over the Chargers and then on 4th and Goal from the 1 yard line they call a PASSING PLAY? WTF? And later on in the game it was 2nd and 14 and they decide to run...come on. I am so sick of John Fox. The Panthers should have won this game by a larger margin..it shouldn't have had to come down to the last play of the game. The Panthers just want me to have a heart attack at a young age..

It was really awkward to see that nobody came out of the Pats-Chiefs game happy. 2 starting QBs down, one with still too much to prove, the other such a distinguished member of the team. Kansas City lost the game, but the Pats lost much more. I feel bad for Brady because I seriously don't wish for someone to be injured like that, ever.

You can tell Randy Moss is devastated, though. He is spouting words that don't make sense when he accused Pollard of being a dirty player. It was pretty obvious Sammy Morris pushed him down as Pollard was going for Brady, so it was nobody's fault. It goes to show that Brady will be gone for a long time, if not for the whole season. :(

Bills proved themselves for sure today. I like their team and, barring injuries, they could vie for a wild card spot.

Bengals are really really horrible. I'll just leave it at that.

Packers and Broncos are winning Monday's games. Something tells me Rodgers will play a solid game, while the Broncos squeak out a win by a small margin.

i guess i overestimated the bengals. and the ravens look okay, but flacco's a rookie. he's no...roethlisberger. ;)

5-1 in the division sounds pretty possible for the steelers.

and now that pats game is a lot less scary.

you know, i remember telling a friend of mine that i hoped tom brady would break his leg in a game...and his other leg. and arms. but now that he's actually injured i have mixed feelings about it. :s

Pats lost Brady, Colts lost, Jags lost, Chargers lost. The enduring best of the league? America's Team. Crown their ass! And the Bears sure aren't who we thought they were either. AFC owning the NFC with their 1-3 interconference record so far amirite?

Fast Willie scored more TDs than all of last year already and Reggie Bush is the best receiver in the NFC South sans Steve Smith. wtf

Flacco looked pretty damn good, which I must say doesn't bode well for Troy Smith. (Shame, I'm an OSU guy and I'd love to see him start.) I know they say you don't normally lose your job to injury but the Ravens were never really certain of who would replace McNair to begin with. Matt Ryan was great too, nice work rookie QBs!

Lol Maroney is terrible, Moss will be fine without Brady, and it sucks to see him go down as a person but you know Pats haters everywhere are just loving the whole irony of the situation. Looks like you should've kept Brady on the injury report, Belichick. Nothing's confirmed until the tests tomorrow, though.

This year doesn't look too great...As much as i dislike the Patriots, losing Brady kind of kills a little piece of the NFL. Well, we still got the Mannings =]

Brady. =(
At least Favre has another shot at the playoffs.
Fuck the Colts. So happy they lost. Manning is trash.
Last time I hope the bears win a game...
Other than the Jets winning and the Colts losing, I'm disappointed.
The Packers better get a win tonight making my life awesome.
Bengals, Chargers, TEXANS! they all lost. =(
At least now I know Chargers are going to the Super Bowl. =D

Oh...and I hope yesterdays pathetic performance will make people shut up about the Jags. They're not good. The Pats showed you that last season in the playoffs. Brady missed what, two attempts? One Welker just dropped for fun. >.>
Garrad already got 2 INTs...he was lucky last season. He's one of the worst QBs in the league.
