i have windows XP, and shoddy USED to work. i stopped playing pokemon for about 5 months and came back to it and it wouldn't work...same comp.

I used to have the same problem dragonsyth, but now I've got a new laptop running Vista that I've never had any trouble using shoddy with. On the xp PC I downloaded shoddy and was using it just fine for a few months. Then I stopped playing, came back a while later, and it wouldn't load, I kept getting application error messages.
So, I attempted to uninstall it, but I got an error message saying "unable to completely uninstall". From then on I just kept getting the same error message. Then I found a way to get around it by launching the application from another user account on xp.
Since that's not working I don't really know what else to tell you to try. You could try a system restore to the point when it was working if that won't cause too many problems for the other people using your computer. Syberia was having a similar problem with shoddy and said the only way he fixed it was a complete reinstall of the os. I would try a system restore first though before taking such drastic measures.

I would lose 6+ months of stuff on my comp. can't do that...
How does Charizard learn Fire Punch? It's recommended on the Bellyzard moveset, but I don't see it on the Serebii pokedex.
Or was the analysis going for Fire Fang?

It just fails, seeing as there is no pokemon on your opponents field when you used the move.
The opponent switches in their Pokemon at the end of turn, after your pokemon would have used counter. Counter misses.
Unless you're in a double battle and the other Pokemon the opponent is using didn't protect, isn't a ghost, (but I guess being immune to an attack and having it miss are two different things) and lived through the explosion doing something else like using Focus Punch behind a sub. But that's really unlikely.

It is a tutor move.
Read the first post of this thread. Somebody hacked the game data and extracted a file with all the movesets of the pokemon in the battle frontier so that is the source I think.
