Alright im having an issue with uploading a wifi battle to the GTS..
I've uploaded a frontier battle successfully before, but this time, while i try and upload my wifi battle, the blue dots circle for a little bit then this text appears on the top screen:

my.php

I touch the bottom screen, and it goes to the main upload video menu.. so it's not uploading. Anyone know whats going wrong?

I responded to ShinyElite via PM, but I'm gonna post the PM incase you guys have any additions or whatever...

Trying to throw a Sandstorm team together

I have this so far

Tyranitar
Bronzong
Gliscor
Magnezone
Scizor

Who would compliment those Pokemon the most and be immune to Sandstorm?

I have a Gastrodon...
It can learn Earth Power in Platinum, can't it?

edit:

Of course, it helps if I post the movesets, etc. for a better, more accurate response but I'm way too tired for that right now.. :P

A sandstorm team doesn't mean that you use everything immune to sandstorm, that's not the best idea. I believe it's like 3/6 to 4/6 should be immune at most while the other 2-3 are used for other purposes.

Infernape @ Life Orb
Naive - Blaze
24 Attack - 252 Special Attack - 232 Speed
Nasty Plot
Flamethrower
Hidden Power - Ice
Close Combat

That's a standard Mixape, here's what it does to your team:

Code:
Close Combat does [B]156.609 - 185.536[/B] to 240 HP / 48 DEF SASSY Tyranitar (the bulkiest in the analysis)

Flamethrower does [B]82.249 - 97.633[/B] to 252 HP / 80 DEF SASSY Bronzong (standard) WITHOUT a Nasty Plot (and usually it WILL get one)

Hidden Power - Ice does [B]122.034 - 144.633[/B] to 252 HP / 0 SPDEF IMPISH Gliscor (standard) WITHOUT a Nasty Plot

Flamethrower does [B]116.667 - 137.654[/B] to 172 HP / 0 SPDEF MODEST Magnezone (standard) WITHOUT a Nasty Plot

Flamethrower does [B]182.558 - 216.279 [/B]to 252 HP / 252 SPDEF ADAMANT Scizor (SUPER bulky, still always OHKO) WITHOUT a Nasty Plot

As you can see, a standard MixApe OHKO's your entire team aside from Bronzong (who is 2HKO'd or OHKO'd after a Nasty Plot). You should never run everything immune to sandstorm, that's not how to do it. Now there are 3 EXCELLENT Pokemon that counter infernape very well, they are:

Vaporeon
Tentacruel
Starmie

Vaporeon can be heatran counter too since it's so bulky, also giving with support

Tentacrul offers Rapid Spin + Toxic Spikes

Starmie offers Rapid Spin + offensive threat

So that's one thing right there, I'll end this at that. If you have any Q's or anything feel free to ask.

Um... Well, recently a community from where I live has announced that they're doing distributions of some event Pokémon, post being here (in Spanish). However, it comes to my attention that they're also distributing the movie Shaymin tomorrow (via Wonder Card).

I highly doubt these are official, so my question here is... How exactly do Wonder Cards work? They mention that you can even share the Wonder Cards once you've received them. Any ideas on how they might be doing this?

Also, what is smogon's stand on Pokémon like these? Are they considered legit or legal?

The maximum happiness for any pokemon is 255 so according to the formula:
Base Power = floor(Happiness * 2 / 5)
102 = floor(255 * 2 / 5)

It's 102 if your Gyarados is at maximum happiness. Floor means to round down BTW.

Thanks again Matt. :)

I have a new question:

Is it possible to get a legit shiny Jirachi?

I'm thinking it is, but it's going to be very, very, very hard to do and very, very, very tedious.
I have the Colosseum Bonus Disk

I've heard that this particular shiny rate is the same as in the wild, so it is possible, at least according to my research.

I'm not sure if this also applies to the channel Jirachi (Australia and Europe only iirc), is it also possible it can be shiny, or not?

Im about to start (attempting) to chain some Magnemites and I wanna make sure I have this right..:

Lead - Pokemon with Magnet Pull (fainted)
2nd - Pokemon with sync + Desired Nature, not fainted

correct?

If you want a Pokemon to win every contest (Smart, cute, beauty, tough, cool), should it be have max smart/max cute/max beauty/max touch/max cool or a bit of everything?

How exactly did Critical hits work in RBY? I know its something to do with speed or something.

Formula to calculate a Pokémon's critical hit ratio in RBY : CH%=BaseSpeed*100/512.

Yes, though I'm not 100% sure that this strategy works.

Probably a bit of everything, but your other parts of the contest have gotta be pretty much perfect.

Also wat nature should the contest pokemon be? and if he is that type of nature will it effect what your pokemon's condtion is (smart, tough...etc)

For once, I'm in this thread to ask a question rather than to give an answer.

Can someone tell me how you link to a specific single post?

Thanks.

I would say that you'd copy and paste a threads' HTTP and do it that way, if you want a specific page then just go to that page number and then copy and paste the HTTP.

Click the number of the post in the upper-right hand corner of it. #XXX. Copy the link from the URL/link location. Or, just right-click it, copy URL or link location.

In this instance, the link is http://www.smogon.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1553616&postcount=270

From there, it is a simple usage of the button that looks like a globe with two links of chain in the lower right, after highlighting text, for a different way of linking to it.

Yeah what Lorak said:)

Edit: For the DP Battle Tower Records thread, I thought that for the Multi Battles Section of the Battle Tower, you could use 4 pokemon, your 2 and the person you link up withs' 2?

I am resuming work on my Lovrina team!
Which movesets should I use on these?

Gorebyss: Choice Specs
Altaria: Cleric
Vileplume: Statuser
Mawile: Physical Attacker
Wigglytuff: ToxiStall

What else should I add?

Excellent answer. Thanks a ton!

Altaria is a much better physical Mawile with Dragon Dance, Outrage Earthquake and Roost. You can EV it defensively still (mine is 252HP/252 SpD Careful) to counter some special attackers, like Venemoth, or EV it to take physical attacks. Gorebyss would probably be better with Life Orb and Rain Dance to fix its awful speed.

What are the EVs and nature of standard Bliss? The main page analysis is a bit out of date (WishBliss is banned now, right?)...
