Lets say hypothetically I have a resttalker who gets tricked a choice item. If I'm locked into sleep talk, will my other moves still be used?
Pokemon using sleep talk while holding a choice item can use sleep talk once, after that it will fail and you'll be locked into it, meaning you'll have to switch.

Just thought to put up my question again:

Ok just read that BL and UU will be combined for testing BL pokemon. When will this be happening? And is there a thread where how the testing will work? Thank you.

That would be after all the testings for OU and the clauses. I believe I have read somewhere that it will be at least April when they start touching the UU tier.

When is it better to put EVs in Def over HP?

I mean does Def give more resistence to a physical attack then the same amount of HP EVs?
Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. Smogon member X-Act has develloped different programmes to calculate that:D

Now my question, how can I get the highest HP fire with the lowest speed IV.

Thank you, but exept I'm terribly wrong, the result in HP fighting on shoddy. Maybe you could check this, it also needs to be legal with a Quiet nature.

does the Diamond/Pearl feature of being able to hit through the move Protect with the ability no guard (machamp) 50% of the time even ever work on shdody? ive tried it about 20 times now and its never hit through a protect. is it a known bug? am i just unlucky?

Why can't legendaries have perfect IVs on shoddy? Should I replicate the Shoddy IV spread when I pokesav my team?

Shoddy only allows "Legal" IV spreads on Legendaries, so if you are planning to Pokesav a legal team then you should stick within the bounds of the IVs that Shoddy says you can have. Smogon however does not support Pokesaving so please hold further discussion of this outside these boards.

I know shoddy has nothing to deal with Pokesav. I speak mostly for my actual Pokemon Platinum game (once it comes out of course). Tournaments and real life players of the sort.

So I'll keep it legit by Shoddy's bounds. But back to the initial question, why can't legendaries have perfect IVs?

They can't have perfect IV's because it is not possible. The game can not create certain legends with perfect IV's. The way you can avoide these types of things is to NOT POKESAV

Can you please NOT shove your views onto me? I'm not telling you hacking is better so I would appreciate it if you stopped telling me breeding is better.

Not my views, Smogons views. Here

read it again

"Yet we recognize that everyone has their own views and standards when it comes to what is "legit" or "illegit". The site will respect this, and will not interfere with the use of external devices in any sort of way"

I respect your decision and smogon respects mine. I don't want to debate this anymore

Please do note that you won't find a soul that finds a pokesav'd pokemon "legit" that is sane on this site. What "we" as a community find "acceptable" are things that don't directly modify the pokemon (such as quick hatch, iv check, all items)

Not my views, Smogons views. Here

He is allowed to battle with them as long as he alerts the opponent.
You also cannot discuss what hacking is and what is not because everyone has their own opinion and they are entitled to it.

It is 'looked down upon' to have legendary Pokémon or any Pokémon for that matter with completely flawless IVs but it is not banned.
