Can anyone help me with the battle recorder? I can't seem to work the thing, I don't understand how I'm supposed to record a battle. x_x

how the type coverage on this luke???
Aura Sphere
extreme speed
Shadow Ball
Blaze Kick

???does anything wall it?
1.X-act made a nice program for calculating type coverage: http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=44721
2.you best list ev's and stuff, even better: post a whole team in the RMT forum and the smogon experts will help you out.
3.maybe you should take a look at the strategydex http://www.smogon.com/dp/pokemon/lucario
4. I don't understand why you even use Blaze kick, what does it cover more?

I haven't been on the site for a while and when I looked at the tier list, I noticed 233 or so pokemon on the NFE (Not Fully Evolved) Tier. My question is, how exactly are NFE pokemon viewed in terms of being able to use them?

For example, if you were playing a UU match, would you only be allowed to use UU and NU?

I just need a little bit of clarification on the issue.

thanks

earlier today i had a skarmory against a bibarel on shoddy. the skarm had hd 3 speed boosts BPed to it and the bib had cursed 4 times, and yet i couldnt outspeed it. im just wondering if this is possible (which mathmatically doesnt seem so) or if it is just a bug.

My best guess is Unaware ignoring your Speed boosts.

I got a togepi with these IVs
Calm
HP: 19
Def:30
SpAtk:20-31
SpDef:31
Speed:10-19

Should I stick with this one or try and breed a better one???
I am trying to go with this Togekiss set:
Togekiss@leftovers
Calm
252 HP, 129 SpAtk, 129 SpDef
Thunderwave
Airslash
Roost
Aura Sphere

I need a little bit of help with my Probopass. (WOO!)

I'm not really going to use it in serious battles but I want to use it every now and then against some of my less experienced opponents. I want Explosion on it, so I was thinking something like this:

Earth Power
Thunderbolt
Explosion
Thunder Wave

I would use Stealth Rock, but trust me, I'm tired of using that move and I'm going to mainly be using this guy to try and annoy my opponents a little, so that 30% paralysis rate against a thick Pokemon is gonna really mess with them.
I'd use Magnet Rise but my Magnezone already has that, at least it's faster and can actually pull that off, I don't see how Probo can do it. I could throw Magnet Rise on there and drop either Explosion or Thunder Wave, but I'm not sure if I want to use Magnet Rise either. There's also the always useful Substitute too...
What do you think? I like the set I listed for me. If I don't like it, I can always adjust it, it's not like they're egg moves, which is cool.

My best Nosepass has a Modest nature; I could try the Choice Specs set but I don't want to be locked into any moves, so Leftovers it shall be.

But now my biggest concern is EV spread, which should I shoot for, the
168 HP / 252 SpA / 88 Spe Offensive
or the
252 HP / 168 SpD / 88 Spe Defensive?

I'm not sure if I'll run into Aggron or Steelix at all, but I guess I should put 88 Speed EVs anyway?

Can someone explain to me synergy, and a defensive core, or link me to something discussing that?
Things like that are very hard to explain, but basically a defensive core is a few pokemon that cover each other's weaknesses and can constantly come in on each other's threats to keep the momentum on your side. Synergy is similar. For example, a team of Suicune/Vaporeon/Swampert/Tyranitar/Heatran/Rhyperior would not be a team with good synergy because a lot of them share similar weaknesses, but a team of Azelf/Zapdos/Scizor/Heatran/Suicune/Salamence (the rather standard offensive Platinum team) would have good synergy because they cover each other's threats defensively while maintaining a rather heavy offense to keep the player in the advantageous position.

As for some threads, a team with a good defensive core and good synergy in a stall style of play is the famous stall team by Obi http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=47785

Another style of synergy is this offensive team made by husk http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=42328

Read both of those and see how the pokes work together to accomplish a specific goal
