Slightly different team, shown below and followed by Iceman's team:

No sane shedninja is going to stick around in a sandstorm, so thats free rocks. I would have got the rocks up regardless with Focus Sash. Hippopotas is probably one of my better pokemon, It can withstand quite a lot of hits. It has managed to take a surf with 7% remaining before. Also, it gives me an unlimited sandstorm, essential for the team. Not perfect, but a NFE with excellent potential, in paticular with Sandstorm Teams like this one.

Yay, Paralysis. yet at 1 hp, Hippopotas fits only the heading "Death Fodder". I'm not relying on Parahax, because my chances of it working are not so good. But however, I wasn't expecting Paralysis at all with my bad luck. If I'm being Pessimistic, sorry, but thats me. Expect the worse, and be pleasently suprised.

I knew Parahax would fail, so Hippopotas can be used to switch with Cacturne. Disadvantage of Specs is you need to lose HP to switch moves, a real pain for anyone. But, as stated above, Hippopotas will do that just great. Anyway, Time for something to faint.

Energy Ball KO'ed Golduck. But that means I'm locked onto Energy ball until I shift. But Iceman won't know I'm specced, so hopefully I'll still be able to do some damage on the next poke.

The good news is that he doesn't have a rapid spinner, or else Shedninja would not have came out. I shifted in Hippopotas as I know full well Energy Ball doesn't work well on the over inflated balloon. That will be an obvious clue to Iceman about Cacturne's Item.

I expected a baton pass, even at 1HP. Silly me for getting a shadow ball to the face... Question: How do you lose 0% when you have 1 HP left? Doesn't that mean I survive?

OW! There goes Cacturne. Its very good at dealing with things like Drifblim. but it got KO'ed before 1 last hit. Meh. Raticate got burnt via an orb, so I know its item at the least. But there goes my Special Sweeper. Sand Veil has not boosted my evaisivness yet. But it does get me a Non Rock/Steel/Ground type in my team.

:) Luck allies with me as the Ganlon berry works wonders, meaning Shuckle does one last job, and faints alive, not mid snooze. This wouldn't be the first time Ganlon Berry has saved me alongside Gluttony. I'm suprised Shuckle woke up, but the fact that it did could have easily won me the battle. One more napping turn could have cost me the match.

My items aren't necesarily the most competitive, but they are practical. A choice bander here would have been KO'ed. Good thing I don't use the standard movesets :). The question is now of the speed of his Magcargo. It'll be close. I'm not sure on the EV's on the Magcargo, only comparing to shuckles speed of 41. I maxed out the EV's in speed but Rampardos has an Adamant Nature. I'm 90% sure I'll win, but here goes nothing.

This log was formatted using Warmachine Version 1.0

I'm seriously pleased with how close it was. It shows how everything counts.

Props:
  • Shuckle for being able to withstand 2 CC's and set up Toxic.
  • Primape for KO'ing 50% of my team and turning the tables.
  • Wierd hold items for doing exactly the thing I needed them to do
Slops:
  • Clefairy for doing nothing.
  • Shedninja for doing nothing
  • Me, for not noticing the burn orb activate.
Special Thanks to Age of Kings, For showing me where to find warmachine, The Artic One for making it and to Iceman for a great battle!

Constructive Criticism Please!

The battle itself wasn't that great, I saw nothing outstanding.

The commentary was very dry, it didn't captivate me.

Not a terrible warstory, but not a great one, either, unfortunately.

The battle itself was decent, not much prediction going on, but very little hax that mattered, and the teams were quite interesting (to me, at least, possibly because I don't play UU).

You definitely need to work on your comments, though. Very short, and many of them weren't very interesting to read, especially the ones that were merely recaps of the previous turn. It'd be a much better read, even with the mediocre battle, if your comments had been a bit longer and more descriptive about what your thoughts were going into the NEXT turn, not the one before.

In short, not exactly a memorable battle, and your comments definitely need some work, but for a second warstory it wasn't terrible. Maybe you should try reading some of the battles in the Warstory Archive to get a better feel for improving any possible future ones.

Gen pretty much summed it up. This battle wasn't any good. This was a standard, generic match from what I can see (and nobody wants to read those). The comments either told us what the log did or was some unnecessary babbling.

I have a feeling you just wanted a warstory period, hence the shallow comments and lackluster fight. There were no lessons to be taken from here except "notice things" with Raticates burn.

I've noticed all your posts have this mini-mod feel.

Anyway, the battle wasn't that great, and the nicknames didn't help, but I noticed that your opponent's team was all old UU, and it was really odd that he didn't have a Rapid Spinner when using a Shedinja lead.

Katherine I highly recommend you stop calling users out on their attitude and work on yours.

This warstory is the definition of "mediocre" - PLEASE make sure your battle is good before writing a war story =/
