- Meteor Mash

Toxic Spiker/Spinner:
Tentacruel (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Liquid Ooze
EVs: 252 HP/120 Def/136 SDef
Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Surf
- Knock Off
- Toxic Spikes
- Rapid Spin
Description: This is my team's toxic spiker. I chose Tentacruel for 3 reasons. The first reason was to spread Toxic Spikes on the ground. Toxic Spikes help support Empoleon when he goes to make a sweep in the late game and can make Blissey go for a run for her money as she cant stall me as long as she wants too taking Poison Damage from 2 layers of Toxic Spikes. Toxic Spikes also help my team with Bulky Waters which can also hinder my Empoleon late game sweep. The second reason I chose Tentacruel was its ability to Rapid Spin and Knock Off. This is the reason I chose it over something like Drapion, Roserade, and Nidoqueen. With Spin, I can get rid of Stealth Rocks when most set are by a suicide leads. Previously you could not do this with Tentacruel, but thanks to Platinum changes you can now have both Rapid Spin and Knock Off. Knock Off helps some of Tentacruel counters. Anything with Specs/Scarf/Band comes in on it trying to take it out, I go to Knock Off taking there power or speed away. This also helps get rid of Leftovers on Blissey and Life Orb Suicune or any other pokes with it. My last reason for using Tentacruel is being a good counter to Heatran and Infernape. This is the main reason I use it over Forretress. Since my team could be in trouble against these 2 pokes I make sure to cover it with Tentacruel and Surf which resist most of their attacks. Heatran might decide to Explode and once Spikes are down that is fine by me cause its probably a bigger threat to me. Those Rotom - H can allow me to switch in on it and maybe waste their explosion as well. Infernape cant do much to it. Tentacruel resists both its STAB attacks and can fight back with Surf. Thunderpunch versions could prove a challenge but I am not worried as Tentacruel is bulky enough to handle it.
Spin Blocker:
Rotom-h @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/168 Def/88 Spd
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Overheat
- Discharge
- Shadow Ball
- Reflect
Description: This is my Rapid Spin Blocker so I can keep my Stealth Rocks and Toxic Spikes on the field as long as possible. That is not his only purpose though. Rotom - H makes a great counter to Scizor, Physical Lucario, and Gyarados. Rotom - H resists Scizor most dangerous move in Bullet Punch and is OHKOed by Overheat. He will draw in Heatrans because of this so most of the time I start off with Discharge. Discharge has a good chance of Paralyzing Heatran and solve my problem of him make revenge kills. I been thinking of Thunderbolt over Discharge since I have Celebi dishing out Thunder Waves as well which Heatran is a common switch in on that as well. Shadow Ball for STAB and can help hit enemy Rotoms coming in and has a chance to lower Sp. Def for my pokes to hit a bit harder. Choice Specs Lucario seems to be on the rise so I have to watch myself sometimes when coming in but I usually beat it with support from Tentacruel so it doesnt hinder Rotom - H that much. He also makes a pretty good counter to Heracross since it resists both Bug and Fighting. Once reflect is up, Stone Edge wont be doing that much as well. Pretty solid poke.

Introduction: This is the team I been working on for the past week and finally got something that works for me. This team is main strategy is to setup Empoleon for a late game sweep but the team has won without even needing him. The team been working well since its creation. It is fairly consistent. This is probably the team I took the most time making, therefore its probably my best. I am still getting use to it but stands up well. Even though you can notice I have a ground weakness, its covered and allows Rotom - H and Salamence to come in safely. Celebi resists Earthquake so it can easily come in as well and help support the team. Now without further adieu, here is the rest of the team.
Weakness and Resistance Chart

Lead:

Metagross @ Lum Berry
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP/240 Atk/18 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Stealth Rock
- Explosion
- Meteor Mash
- Bullet Punch
Description: This is my Stealth Rock LeadGross. I design it so it can take out Lead Aerodactyl and Lead Azelf. Both of which are very common right now. Meteor Mash over Earthquake for hitting those to harder and Earthquake was mainly for Heatran and Infernape anyway which is covered via the other members of the team. This has been working very well in the field test so its most likely gonna stay that way. Explosion for when he down low on health or if I need a certain threat eliminated and can put a huge dent in Hippowdon leads as well if I wanted to. I use Lum Berry on this set for getting those first turn Hypnosis from Lead Gengars and Bronzongs. Against Gengar I can most likely KO them with Meteor Mash and go with a 1 - 0 lead earlier. I feel this was the best lead for those reasons for this team.
Toxic Spiker/Spinner:

Tentacruel (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Liquid Ooze
EVs: 252 HP/120 Def/136 SDef

Supporter:

Celebi @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP/136 Def/122 SDef
Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Grass Knot
- Earth Power
- Recover
- Thunder Wave
Description: Celebi is one of my team supporters. Sending Thunder Wave to many threats that can resist Toxic Spikes set my team up to deal with them easier and more efficiently. That is not Celebi only purpose though. She is also there to get rid of Bulky Waters like Swampert and Suicune to help ease my Empoleon sweep late game. Recover increases her longevity and Earth Power to hit steels and Infernape that sometimes like to come in on it. A predicted Earth Power can get rid of Heatran as well. I gave her more of mixed EVs for her defenses so she can take as much from some mixed sweepers as well and can turn Salamence sweep off as well. With the Reflect support from Rotom - H, she can even take a bit more physical pressure as well. Great poke and the ground resist helps cover my ground weakness giving her some good chances of coming in and fighting back.
Dragon Dancer:

Salamence (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 232 Atk/252 Spd/24 SAtk
Naughty nature (+Atk, -SDef)
- Outrage
- Fire Blast
- Earthquake
- Dragon Dance
Description: This is my main sweeper for the mid and late game. I chose Dragon Dance for the speed and power. He has done his job quite well. With my Ground weakness, he can come in safely. The reason why I chose him when I was making the team and the fact I lack some speed and power outside of Empoleon after an Agility. EVs given is so Fire Blast can OHKO Skarmory and wont stop my sweep. It also hits Scizor and Forretress if I hadnt taken care of them yet. Outrage hits hard and is the primary STAB attack. Earthquake for steels like Magnezone and Metagross. Not much more I can say about him. He gets in and hits hard and if needed retreats. With Tentacruel getting rid of Stealth Rocks, it helps it fight longer and takes less damage coming in. The only thing I am debating about with this guy is Naive Nature over Naughty. Naive would make sure it outruns almost all base 100 pokes without a speed boosting nature and at worst tie with other Salamence. For now I decided for the power over the speed for now.
Petaya Late Game Sweeper:

Empoleon (M) @ Petaya Berry
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 12 HP/232 Spd/252 SAtk/12 SDef
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Surf
- Grass Knot
- Agility
- Substitute
Description: This is the main man for this team. He comes in on his 11 resistances and then either subs or agility up. Almost nothing can really stand up to a Torrent Boosted STAB Surf under a +1 Special Attack increase from Petaya Berry. He is also great because he resists all priority moves that are common ie Ice Shard and Bullet Punch. Mach Punch and Vacuum Wave is the only ones that hits him for super effective. I chose Grass Knot over Ice Beam for now because some times Celebi may not be able to take those Bulky Waters out and if I decide to go early with him which I do not do all the time but I figure he does enough on most Dragons and what not anyway. Though I am still debating on it though. Not much else to say besides he is beastly.
