Hi! Welcome to the first Shadowhunt RMT in a long, long time. This Platinum team has been recently and quickly put together, so I want to check for some gaping weaknesses and such.

Azelf & Focus Sash(Naive)
Levitate
6 atk / 252 spA / 252 Spe
-Psychic
-Stealth Rock
-Explosion
-Fire Blast

Stealth rock Azelf. This thing outspeeds most, and Focus Sash takes care of frailty. Fire Blast to take care of Yanmega, Forry, and others. Explosion to go out with a bang. The only real drawback is having to clean up the resulting mess after the battle...XD

Metagross & Shuca Berry)Adamant
Clear Body
112 HP / 252 Atk / 12 Def / 132 Spe
-Meteor Mash
-Earthquake
-Agility
-Thunder Punch

Agiligross, with a bit of bulk, especially with Shuca Berry. Basically, this thing comes in on something it scares, Agilities once or twice, and sweeps. Thunder Punch to OHKO pesky Gyarados and other water types.

Togekiss & Leftovers(Calm)
Serene Grace
252 HP / 6 Def / 252 SpD
-Air Slash
-Aura Sphere
-Roost
-Thunder Wave

Flinchhax Togekiss. Is good at taking special attacks. Aura Sphere for type coverage, and pretty fun to play with.

dpmfa232.png

Donphan & Leftovers(Impish)
252HP/6 atk/252 def
Sturdy
-Earthquake
-Rapid Spin
-Ice Shard
-Stone Edge/Knock Off/Roar

Physical Wall/Rapid Spinner. Not sure what to put in that last slot.

dpmfa485.png

Heatran & Choice Scarf(Rash)
6 HP/252 spA / 252 spe
Flash Fire
-Fire Blast
-Earth Power
-Explosion
-Dragon Pulse

Choice Scarf Heatran! Revenge killer, absorbs fire for Meta if necessary. Screws Weezing over, owns Scizor, etc. Thinking of putting HP Ice in that last slot, but put Dragon Pulse since it has a higher base power and hits more pokes for neutral.

Milotic & Leftovers(Bold)
148 HP / 252 Def / 108 SpA
Marvel Scale
-Hypnosis
-Surf
-IB
-Recover

Whoops, forgot my shiny Milotic!(Yes, shiny!:) Anyway, I love my Bulky waters. Sleep support Milotic. It was great then, and it is great now.:P Thinking of slapping HP Electric somewhere.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

That is the team! Now, keep in mind I have not played in the metagame for almost a year now.:P Help me improve my team, I have plenty of Pokes I have from Diamond and some I have already bred/EVed in Plat, so feel free to suggest outrageously hard to get combos like Zapdos HP Grass, I probably have them from times of old.:D

Have at it!

First you need lengthy responses or the mod TAY is going to close this thread also btw the way stone edge would be the best for donphan so he can take out those dragons and flying type pokemons easily.

your milotic is a sleep absorber instead your team should be more defensive so heres a better moveset for milotic
252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
~ Light Screen
~ Toxic/ hypnosis
~ recover
~ surf

First, I'd suggest giving Donphan near enough max HP to go with that Defence, or replacing it altogether as I don't think Donphan is of much use in the current metagame (sadly). I don't think your team is in dire need of Rapid Spin as Stealth Rock isn't a big deal for you. Spikes may be, but other than on Donphan itself, Skarmory cannot do anything to you without taking a huge hit from something. As you can Fire Blast it with Azelf, ThunderPunch it with Metagross, Paralyze and FlinchHax it with Togekiss, Fire Blast it with Heatran and Hypnosis / Surf it with Milotic. (Forretress might be a bit tougher, but repeated Special Attacks will wear it out quickly). You're also pretty immune to Toxic Spikes as (as long as it's not Toxic Poison) Milotic loves that Marvel Scale boost, and everything else bar Donphan is literally immune to Toxic Spikes.

You have major threats like Scizor covered with Heatran and Milotic, and those two are decent replies to the likes of Salamence as well. I think you'd just be best off playing around with a few more sweepers in Donphan's slot, preferably physical ones. Maybe give Mamoswine a run, as it provides Electric immunity like Donphan and a safer check against the likes of weakened Latias, Salamence, Dragonite and anything else that can be picked off when rathr low on HP.

However, strong Fighting-type attacks could be problematic, so if that does become a problem, try something like Salamence in place of Donphan. Perhaps a slightly bulkier version with Roost.

Thanks! Yeah, Donphan is pretty underused these days, and I can see why.:( As for the HP, I meant to have 252 EVs in HP.XD But yeah I will look to find a better physical wall/sweeper type Poke.

Right off the bat I can see that Bulky Waters give you trouble. I'll point out some of my recommendations:
~I don't like Donphan if it's not a CBer for the fact that Spinning is only an issue for Togekiss and Ice Shard doesn't KO Mence or any other Dragon.
~I see no need for Shuca Berry. Your team isn't very offensive, defensive, or even balanced. You picked 6 Pokemon that do some stuff good, but nothing great. You should emphasize offense by putting a Life Orb on Gross, or even Lefties will do.
~ScarfTran.... sucks. Everyone knows exactly what to expect. So why don't you surprise them with something new and funky? I'd try something like this because it rids all of ScarfTran's counters effectively.

Naive @ Shuca Berry
6 Att/ 252 S Att/ 252 Spe
~Fire Blast
~Earth Power
~HP Electric
~Explosion

The beauty about this is that it appears fast, reasching 278 Speed, and even looks Scarfed since it won't take Life Orb recoil or replenish health with Leftovers. Gyarados is an all too common switch in to Tran and HP Electric takes care of it. All you have to do is play the part of a Scarfer. Be careful with Blissey though. I always recommend Fire Blasting the first turn to make it use Protect so it won't the second time when you Explode.

The bulky Water-type problem did strike me at first, but I thought with two exploders he'd be able to deal with that most of the time.

CursePert in general will give this team troubles without a grass attack. I won't give a full rate without putting some thoughts in the team though. That's all I'm going to say.

This thread is now locked under RMT Rule #3:

Rule #3 said:
3. Have some actual words in your post beyond your six Pokemon and their moves. Not following this makes your post quite boring to read and rate. All Pokemon should have a good reason for being in your team anyway, so why not post that reason? If you're having trouble with this one, start by giving an explanation for each team member. Why are they there? What role do they serve? How do you get them in? Then, give an explanation of how you would open with the team and how you would go about using it. All of these things help people rate your team and allow us to offer more helpful advice.

This does not mean add one sentence saying "Standard x" or "all-around awesome" after each Pokemon. If you put thought into making the team, you can put thought into posting it.
