Even though I like Doug's more, I'm going to have to go with Elegy because Doug's doesn't really look like something with the characteristics of a Ghost-type, namely immunities to Normal and Fighting. In fact, it looks like it would be Fighting weak.

In all seriousness though, its probably a good idea to have alt checking for this poll. Art was the one that had problems before and its pretty close again.

For CaP 5's art poll several people went through them, they found quite a few alts and it changed the result of the poll. All offenders were permabanned.

Alt makers will be caught, don't do it.

And here's the reason I voted Doug. EoE's design is great. However, it is far too ghost-dominant. We selected Steel/Ghost as our typing, not Ghost/Steel, and Doug's design is a perfect representation of the former, while EoE's design is definitely the latter.

Not quite true. Users Soaney and Bluekikatana, two of the main perpetrators in CaP5, were only temporarily banned. It was the alts that were permabanned. Take a look at the voters of the last few current polls. Both of them voted (Bluekikatana only voted in the previous poll).
 
Still going with DougJustDoug's design. EoE's is very nice, but there's just something about Doug's design that appeals to me more.

Can you picture fighting moves not affecting Drifblim at all (being NVE, I suppose, but actually being immune)? Looks pretty solid to me. However, just like any Pokemon (although only Ghost types actually can), I can picture in my had it turning transparent and what it would look like as such. Same thing with Doug's design. It appears quite solid, but I can visualize it turning transparent when hit with a fighting move, making it not effective, and that's good enough for me (at least with Pokemon world logic and cases such as Drifblim, that is).
 
I would just like to say that yes, it has been confirmed that people have been using their alts to cheat in this poll. Do not panic, the project staff is hard at work in catching the culprits, but just so you know, attempting to gain extra votes in any CAP poll using your alts is a bannable offense. Don't even think about doing it if you haven't already, we will find out. This has happened before, if you are curious.

Also, until this is resolved, try to keep the discussion civil, as it seems that this topic has gone off track a little bit through all of the hysteria.
 
god. I hope that there aren't too many alts. that would really suck. perhaps its why the last poll was so close too.

and art happens to be my favorite part of CAP.
 
It is pretty pathetic how some people view art as so important as to make alts for it. However, you can't stop them, you can only catch them and ban them. I'm confident the CAP Mods will weed every one of you losers out. It's just a shame when it affects the results like it did with Stratagem.

Art is always the most voted on poll in CAP. Maybe it's because the standards are so high. Doug and Elegy, your designs are both really impressive and I would be happy for either to win. I hope that you can both see the weird sort of compliment in that some silly people would risk bans to make alts to vote for you.
 
Yes, I see that, Jagged Angel.

Throughout the polls, Doug has neither supported his design through generic "vote for me" posts or gone on the server to gather recruits. I respect that he has gotten this far without doing that. If Doug wins, it will be a win well-deserved.

I really would be Ok with whoever wins.
 
Elegy's artwork might not be "perfect" as Dougs but the concept is there and you get the picture. Elegy needs to win, because the sprite will look amazing and it just fits scoutmon, also I think 4 legged pokemon would suite CAP7 more.
 
That's a shame... I have a bad feeling that if either elegy or doug got this far on too many alts, people will demand revotes, bans, and a big mess. But everyone remember: IT IS NOT THE ARTISTS FAULT ALTS VOTED FOR THEM

unless they were the ones making alts. which would be pretty low in my mind.
