NNNNNYYYYYYAAAAHHHHHHHHH

locopoke

Banned deucer.
I figured this title would get your attention. This is a team me and PurpleWeezing made together about a month ago. It's been working pretty great so far so I figured I'd just post it here. Enjoy~

Swampert_by_indyfox.jpg

Swampert (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 240 HP/216 Def/52 SAtk
Relaxed nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Earthquake
- Ice Beam
- Surf
- Stealth Rock

The standard MixPert, it makes a great addition to any team. Me and PurpleWeezing felt it would be a perfect lead for this team because it sets up Stealth Rock, which all teams should have, but it's not 100% defensive. With Earthquake, Ice Beam and Surf it's able to hit quite a few things with a lot of power, and easily puts a stop to DDMence, which is one of the weakness' of this team. Overall it's a good lead, though if my opponent is leading with Roserade then there may be trouble.

Heatran_for_Warmy_kun_by_emelld1324.jpg

Heatran (M) @ Passho Berry
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 6 Atk/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Earth Power
- Explosion
- Fire Blast
- Dragon Pulse

This Heatran is pretty original, yet it works very well. Passho Berry was mostly PurpleWeezing's idea and it helps us kill off Bulky Waters such as Suicune, Swampert, and Gyarados which tend to give this team trouble at times. For the most part, the moveset is pretty standard and doesn't need any explanation. Heatran also helps by absorbing Fire moves directed at Scizor and makes for some good synergy.

Empoleon_mass_by_tenyearwarranty.jpg

Empoleon (M) @ Petaya Berry
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 12 HP/232 Spd/252 SAtk/12 SDef
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Substitute
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Agility

In my opinion this is one of the best and most effective Set-Up Sweepers in the metagame. This is the SubPetaya Empoleon and it's pretty simple and easy to use. First use Substitute, and Agility for +2 Speed, giving Empoleon 428 Speed. Now is where you can either keep using Substitute or use Surf or Ice Beam and kill off your opponents Pokemon. The goal is to reach 25% and get a Petaya Berry boost along with Torrent activating, making Surf almost unstoppable. The downside to this Pokemon is that it's completely stopped by Vaporeon, and has a pretty tough time taking Blissey.

Gliscor_by_vitzzz.jpg

Gliscor (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Hyper Cutter
EVs: 252 Atk/6 Def/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Roost

One of the most overlooked Physical Sweepers in the game. People always tend to overlook Gliscor's offensive side and use him as a Deffensive Tank, but PurpleWeezing and I felt that this set would work great, and as expected it did. Hyper Cutter is really great, especially with Gyarados and Salamence running around this metagame. Once you have +2 Attack, this Gliscor is deadly, OHKOing Gyarados and Salamence with Stone Edge, along with OHKOing Scizor with Earthquake. The moveset is self explanitory, seeing as we use Life Orb, Roost is a great way to heal the recoil and possibly save ourselves from an Ice Beam KO. CroCune is a bitch to this Pokemon, as it can take an Earthquake easily and KO with Surf or Ice Beam.

Zapdos_by_FallingWithoutYou.jpg

Zapdos @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 6 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Heat Wave
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Roost

Another very offensive Pokemon. Lately, people always expect a Zapdos to be on the deffensive side, but Zapdos follows the same pattern as the rest of this team, and is 100% offensive. We felt that three Life Orb sweepers on a team might be a little much, so we decided that Leftovers would be better for Zapdos, though, we still kept Roost because it's pretty much needed on this set. Hidden Power [Grass] gives us pretty good coverage and puts a stop to Swampert, seeing as nothing else on the team can do that easily. Not much else to say, the counters for this Pokemon are pretty obvious.

SCIZOR_used_XSCISSOR_by_MidniteSilven.jpg

Scizor (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Technician
EVs: 32 HP/252 Atk/224 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Bullet Punch
- Superpower
- X-Scissor

It's the new Garchomp of OU, and he's a great addition to the team. Lately CB Scizor has been a lot more common, though I feel that the Swords Dancer is a little more effective, pretty much because it has an easier time sweeping. It can kill off a few Pokemon every game and gives Heatran a reason to switch in.

thanks for reading, have a nice day. SoT wanted me to get rid of the huge letters, he's a party pooper

Not much time here, but I'd would highly recommend Quick Attack over X-Scissor. Being able to 1hko stuff like Infernape, Jolteon, and even Electivire is pretty darn sweet. Superpower provides a cool 120 BP attack anyway. The drops can be annoying, but SD helps keep the drops from being too large of an issue.

Quick Attack could work, but how would I deal with things such as Bronzong and Metagross? Superpower doesn't guarentee a KO. On the other side I guess Quick Attack helps my MixApe weakness.

CB uturn scizor will help you a lot more than the sword dance version, I know it's really common, but that's because it's really good. You're a bit steel heavy, but magnezone only really gets 1 of them, as scizor and heatran will scare it away.

This team is a bit weak to ice and earth though, mamoswine would have a field day, you might want to switch in some type variety (probably over empoleon or one of the fliers

As long as you're sure bronzong and gross don't use earthquake, you can almost always switch in safely w/ heatran. If you think earthquake is coming, Zapdos is a safe switch and can scare either away w/ heat wave.

@ itsbigfoot - He has two flying pokemon and pokemon w/ ice resists. Being "steel heavy" is just fine if you don't share the same weaknesses.

yeah, but not on the same poke, ice gets whatever would take the earth, again, something packing both (swampert and mamoswine, few others too) will give you major problems

itsbigfoot, Mamoswine doesn't pose as much of a problem at all. Scizor can come in and quickly kill it off with Bullet Punch. As for Swampert, I already mentioned that it was a problem for my team. Not because it can pack Ice Beam and Earthquake, but because I only have one Grass Move. My team has good enough typing that it can dodge around the attacks without taking much damage.
