Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Nice findings Jonny =O
But, isn't it as simple as: Catch a pokemon, check PID, check near shiny frames, if the shiny seed is like 6 after your caught pokemon, walk 6 steps straight, and use Sweet Scent?

Should be too easy though, there's probaly much more behind this.

I don't think it does. The only reason we thought that was because we used method 1 to calculate stuff, but according to jonny this isn't the same as method 1, just similar.

@Torso -No. It just skips forward due to the fact that the pid must be coherent with the nature that's why you guys were getting bad results with legends

Wow. Great work Jonny, awesome discoveries. Once Mingot has a look at this, if he can make a program to calculate how far away a shiny frame is, we could exploit it to no end.

Let me get this straight. Say, I catch a wild Pokemon in the water by a Legend's cave. Get the Seed from mingot's app, and generate my method 1 list of spreads.

No matter what I do, will the caught Legend always appear on that list?

The shiny babies are completely legit using this method right?

Yeah, you only need to find your SID, that's all ^^
As long as you don't use any codes that are directly connected to the shiny (Fast hatch, Fast breeding etc.).

I'm only using the IV check code for the Pokemon you catch to check it's PID.
I still call them legit, as an IV check code has nothing to do with the shinyness of the baby =)

And Jonny, can't we use Method 1 in RNG Reporter to find the wild shiny spreads? Correct me if I'm wrong here ^^

I know it doesn't affect the shinyness (seeing as I've hatched three with it), but according to Misty, fast egg hatch codes alter your step counter, not the hatch time of the egg.

I still see it as speeding up the progress using a code.
Well, you can still see them as legit using fast hatching, but I personally prefer not to use it xD

I think you cannot use method 1 since supposedly it advances the same as wild pokemon IVs, which he just posted is slightly different than method 1. You may find results you get, but probably can't get exact ones you want. Also, there are tons of npc moving around the screen making it harder.

I'll play around a bit using the info we got on this soon.
Will post results after that =)
I'm sure there will be some places ingame where no NPCs are on the screen.

Yeah, most of the legendary pokemon don't have any, if not all of them.

Yeah, but I suppose we still need method 2 for SRing right?
If you can give me some starting points on investigating the manipulation of the SR Pokemon, please tell me, and I'll try to find new information on that aswell.

Investigation on the wild pokemon will lead to epic fail if we don't have a Spread generator for the new method...must wait for Mingot to release new stuff...
Believe me. you ll' get total random spreads because method 1 is not used they way it was in emerald...

EDIT : 1k posts ;)

Lol, grats xD
Well, I'll wait then.
Besides, you guys have much more knowledge on this than I have, so I guess you're right.
