Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

It's how DPPt produces its legendaries, like how Emerald uses method 1. It's going to be fairly useless until a time finder is implemented for it, though.

I did one more test, no synch at azelf. The first IV set in the list was indeed the azelf's spread. So if we could find a date, time and delay of a good one at frame 1, we could get it fairly easily.

But will the legends also be as difficult as the IV breeding? Because I can't get the right delay+seconds+seed I want. Or just as easy as getting a Shiny Egg.

It will be similar to IV breeding, getting the right delay and seconds. It will always be the first frame in method J, so we just got to find a good frame 1 spread for different natures and we can get them fairly easy.

lol you can have mine. It can't be done really yet. We have to wait for the next version with Dppt Capture Finder to be working. The only other way would be to test all the times and check manually, which would take to long.
Well that's the problem, I don't have WiFi anymore :pirate:. Do you have some IV breeding tips for me to make it easier, because I heard from Syberia in the DMP thread something about NPC? Could you tell me what that is?

this is the post.

Ok I can try. NPC are the other people that move. The ones you have to worry about are the white rabbit one, forgot the name, and the 2 girls with hats.

When you save at a shiny egg, reset and take the egg as fast as possible. Catch a pokemon, get the seed, and find the egg you got in the list under Breeding (Dppt) That will tell you your frame. Try this a a couple times and see if it is always the same. If so, use the search and look for a spread with that offset. If it is not the same, save again.

No, the Buneary doesn't make a difference, I'm sure of it. It doesn't have a random path, but the girls do.

Also, I've seen the bunny at different positions and gotten the same offset - it's when I'm too slow and the girls move that I get a larger offset. I'd do more testing, but now I have to take apart my DS and fix the shoulder button (again).

mingot, maybe some reorganization of the OP is in order, to keep people from asking so many questions? A lot of the good stuff (like shiny breeding) comes after the computer science explanation on the finer details of the RNG, which isn't necessary to know to get it working.

Hmm. That's maybe the reason why I didn't got the same results. And what about those people, do they need to move in a required direction or do they have to move right after you load the save file?

Sorry for asking so much.

Omega- was talking about pachirisu, which does affect it.

Vlie- the girls don't have to move in a required direction, but you need them to move the same way everytime after you reset.

I do agree. The research bits are extremely out of place when mixed with the "exploitation techniques". I've added a small note telling people where to skip to if they just want to abuse the thing, but it might be smarter to move it directly to the top since I don't think the directions need a whole ton of "context" information to be effective.

But then I don't want to bury the rocket science as that is what drives all of this.

Well something extremely weird just happended to me. I did the taps correctly and everything and transfered the Shiny Egg over to my platinum from my pearl version. I hatch the egg in that game and its sprite when it hatches is shiny (gray beldum), however, when i look at its summary, its normal blue! i even did a battle with it and its completely normal, no shininess. It had the nature that the spread said it would have though. I turned off the game, hatched it again and it did the exact same thing.

I breeded a foreign beldum with a american ditto if that helps at all.

Um, I have a question.

Can I breed Pokemon with perfect IVs without having parents with perfect IVs? And if not, how do I encounter wild Pokemon with perfect IVs?

I know we can find the nature for sure of the Shiny, but how do we find the Ivs and how do we make it set? For instance, do we save right after catching the Pokemon and start tapping (btw, what is delay? and how do we delay it in the game?) and then go to pick up the egg or do we HAVE to save it right before we pick up the egg AFTER tapping/flipping.

Siddarth - Honestly, have you even attempted to read the first post? Do you have a specific question about one of the steps?

I have read it, but I've not only tried reading Jibaku's ERNG thread, but I've never been able to understand either, except for your walkthrough and ttb's video.

How do you reset for IV's now? People on DMP talk about offsets and delays, so I'm assuming that they're trying to reset for IV's just like in Emerald RNG?

Resetting for IVs requires you to obtain some of your own variables, namely the seconds it takes you to Soft-reset the game to the point where you hit A on the menu for continue, the frame you tend to hit when talking to the old man after the game starts up, and the time you'll need to change your DS clock to depending on the number of seconds it takes for you to "start up" the game, basically the seconds mentioned in the first variable.
Does anyone know exactly what affects delay besides having a cartridge in slot 2, and I guess movement of the NPCs?
I managed to get the IV spread I was aiming for: Shiny Rash Cyndaquil 20/31/27/31/24/31, spread was 20/31/27/A/24/A
although I got really annoyed at the delay for some time >_> since I landed 3 frames and 14 seconds each time... except for that one time when I hit the right delay, and some how managed to start up my game in 13 seconds, and a second time when I had everything match up... except I hit frame 5 >_> so I want to get delay to be a bit more consistent, since during the calibration phase I got 618 delay three times in a row :X
