Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Gah, I hit the same RNG spread that is two delay frames off of the one I want about three times now. X_X

It happens to everyone, I hit the same spread over 4 times which was 2 delay off. I was trying to get a dusknoir for 3 hours and everytime I got right delay, offset was wrong. Eventually changed it and got it faster.

What happens if I accidentally screw up in the Happiness Checker and hit a Pokemon? Do I have to reset and do the Initial Seed all over again?

Just out of curiosity, in about how many SR's do you get your egg with the desired IV's (using the IV manipulation method)?

It all depends on does your offset change between 2 or 3 numbers.
Yesterday, I tried reset for a dusknoir only getting 5 and 6 offset, and every time I got the right delay, I got an offset of 6. I was SRing for almost 5 hours. I was also watching TV/IRC. I changed my target and got in under an hour. Then I went to SRing for togepi, and got it on my first try. So it varies, mainly on luck.

Hi guys, I'm still in the preliminary phases of Iv Manipulation and I might have a dilemma. When my DS turns on, it goes straight to my Platinum, there's no menu screen (I don't know why myself). Would that be a problem at all?

I don't think so, but if it bothers you you can change that by turning on the DS with no games in either slot and going to the settings menu.

Ehh... I did that, but it still skips right to the game. Maybe it's because I bought this off Ebay...

Oh well, it probably isn't a big deal so thanks for the help

Say you IV reset and checked what delay/offset you got, and it's not near the Adjacent Results. Then how would you check what delay/offset you got if you wanted to check?

There is an option that you have to turn off that says auto start game on start up, or something similar.

klock - after you take the egg, go catch a wild pokemon. Get the initial seed, and then generate the Breeding DPPt list and find your egg. Check the delay when you get the seed, and offset in the list.

You could take an egg, and then see how many taps and coin flips from that one you have to do. You may have to find this out yourself based off the original post.

Oh I realized that there's an easier one I could do ( Double Taps: 343, Coinflip Taps: 3)

Not sure what you mean about taking an egg to do taps for that.

In any case, do I just flip to a different application, come back to Happiness Checker and start over or do I just have to reset altogether?

If you lost your counting and havent reset yet, you just can't choose to start on a new one. You have to know what frame you are on. Just restart, since you don't know what I'm talking about.

Yea that's the thing, I turned it to manual, it still does that automatically.

Did you turn off the game and try again?

You must have made an error somewhere, not a flaw in the program.

Yes I did turn off and try again, using a different one. Does the speed of my double taps have any significance? And also, I just tap the coinflip once for every time Im supposed to until the coin settles right? And I wait until after all this to put in the parents?

Yes, speed doesn't matter as long as they jump. wait till it lands to flip/change app, although I don't think it matters. The parents can go in first, the problem would be an egg may be made half way through. You may have made a simple mistake somewhere, but I don't know.

Oh...darn..I just put in the parents afterward ( I reset to try again), is that bad?
