Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

I was wondering, is it possible if you mess up the taps to save generate an egg and just keep repeating until you get a shiny without turning the game off since it only increases by 1. This would only work if you were under the correct amount of taps though.

Edit: Also if you are flying do you do the taps before or after you fly?

I see, so its ok to tap, put the game down, put a notch down in an Excel spreadsheet and then make the next tap, etc.?

I also switched to another app after the coinflips so I wouldn't accidentally do another coinflip.

You are putting info in wrong somewhere else then, like the date is wrong maybe.

The taps can go from 0 to over 1000.
 
For fun, I checked the number of taps for the last Pokemon generated. It was on the order of 9,999 taps, I believe. Could have been 99,999. Don't remember.
 
When I first tried it was like 625 taps. Of course I was counting aloud so I screwed up royally. Excel spreadsheet definitely the way to go. I want to thank whoever suggested it.
 
I have a problem, The problem is ,is when I click find I got one result, I press on it, right click it, double click it but where is the "ok" button?

edit: Nvm I found out that my comp made the application look wierd and it doesn't show the ok button.

Nope. I clicked Dppt EGG PID. If it helps at all, the only thing that popped up when i entered the IVs and nature was only 1 "Initial" option.
also= excel spreadsheet? how does that work when counting happiness taps?
 
mingot, I think we should split up the PRNG Research thread into a thread for actual research topics (for posts like these) and a thread for help on how to abuse the PRNG. Probably something with the instructions but not the detailed science so as to not confuse people more than they need to.

Since you're a badgeholder now, you can lock this thread yourself and start those other ones, but you'd need a mod to sticky them.

I believe in the new RNG Reporter you are only supposed to get one option. When you use the spreadsheet you just hit the down arrow on your keyboard when you see them jump. This way you don't actually have to count.

nevermind. im just going to use RNGreporter 4.01 since thats the only one that works.
