Well I have been laddering for a couple matches, and it has just been my luck to having to face LonelyNess, one of the best battlers I know of. Now early into the "series" we have going on, I was up 2-0, but for reasons unknown to me, LonelyNess has been kicking my ass, making the "series" 2-5! I hesitate, and click the "Find Match" button once more....

Seven Deadly Sins: ready for 2-6?
Blech, SDS joined, I seem to always lose when he is around :(. Anyway, im really feeling Moltres' "pressure" (pun intended), because I dont have a dedicated wall for it. However, I think he will probably take the less risky route, and use Fire Blast to KO my Mismagius that I have switched in quite often previously, so i'll send in Slowbro. Or he could use HP and do 65%+ to Slowbro....and the match starts with excitement already.
SuPsUp switched in Slowbro (lvl 100 Slowbro ?).
Moltres used Fire Blast.
It's not very effective...
Slowbro lost 39% of its health.
Moltres lost 10% of its health.
Slowbro's leftovers restored its health a little!
Slowbro restored 6% of its health.

vs
Whew...The battle starts with a Blast. Now I have to figure out what to do next. My Slowbro carries Light Screen for the inevitable Shaymin switch-in, but he has predicted this before and just used HP and done a ton of Damage. I think he will take the safe route and switch again though, as he often does.
Moltres used Air Slash.
Slowbro lost 50% of its health.
Moltres lost 10% of its health.
Slowbro used Light Screen.
A barrier was formed!
Slowbro's leftovers restored its health a little!
Slowbro restored 6% of its health.
---
vs
Ouch! Nice prediction LN, I was sure you would switch :(. Im at a severe disadvantage if Slowbro bites it this early, because then he has a much easier time taking out my team with Regirock. The safe move for him to use would be to Hidden Power, as that will safely KO my Slowbro at this point, while IIRC Slowbro has a small chance to live from Air Slash (due to LScreen). Slowbro's light screen is a definite pain for him, and Slowbro can easily OHKO back with Surf, so he is practically forced to use Hidden Power. Mismagius has decent Special Defense, and will take minimal damage from HP, and can really mess up his team. So Missy it is.
SuPsUp switched in Mismagius (lvl 100 Mismagius ?).
Moltres used Hidden Power.
Mismagius lost 20% of its health.
Moltres lost 10% of its health.
---
vs
As I thought. Now, my Missy is a TrickSpecs variant, so Shadow Ball is the safe route, but he can switch Honchkrow in and threaten me with Sucker Punch if I ko something. I still think Shadow Ball is the best move, because he has nothing that likes eating Shadow Balls in the first place, due to Honchkrow being weak as hell. Shaymin can also switch into my other attacks (Tbolt, Trick, HP Ground), which I dont want.
LonelyNess switched in Quagsire (lvl 100 Quagsire ?).
Mismagius used Shadow Ball.
A critical hit!
Quagsire lost 100% of its health.
LonelyNess's Quagsire fainted.

6-5 FIRST BLOOD
vs
(Fnt)
My first inclination is to say "bleh, hax". But this Crit didnt especially matter, as Shadow Ball does around 70% anyway, though it did help a bit. In Hindsight, i think I would have rathered him live, so i could set up Spikes with Cloyster easily, but anyway. Lets see who he sends out next.
LonelyNess switched in Honchkrow (lvl 100 Honchkrow ?).
vs
Ah, here it is. The more I think about it, the more I see that Hitmontop is my safest bet, he rarely risks using Drill Peck, because i either always stay in to attack, or Switch to Registeel. I also want to lure out his Crobat, so that I can get Stealth Rocks up easily.
SuPsUp switched in Hitmontop (lvl 100 Hitmontop ?).
Hitmontop's intimidate cut Honchkrow's attack!

Hitmontop restored 6% of its health.

vs
Ouch, could have been worse though. He can easily KO me with Drill Peck now, and I NEED Hitmontop to be alive to spin away SR. SR destroys my team (Cloyster, Yanmega). Slowbro can take a Drill Peck, I think, and can use this time to heal up.
LonelyNess switched in Crobat (lvl 100 Crobat ?).
SuPsUp switched in Slowbro (lvl 100 Slowbro ?).
Slowbro's light screen wore off!
Slowbro's leftovers restored its health a little!
Slowbro restored 6% of its health.

vs
Seven Deadly Sins: oof
Seven Deadly Sins: i don't know who got the shittier end of that switch
Yea, SDS basically said it. Crobat will probably KO with Brave Bird, since I dont invest as heavily in defense as most do. However im not sure he knows that, and I think he may Taunt, its worth the risk to get Crobat down anyway. Psychic him in the face!
Crobat used Brave Bird.
Slowbro lost 29% of its health.

(Fnt) vs
Oy Vey. Slowbro is down, time to set up some easy Spikes however. Cloyster is up!
SuPsUp switched in Cloyster (lvl 100 Cloyster ?).
vs
Now, he is probably going to Taunt, or switch in Moltres. Either way, I dont lose anything by setting up for my late game sweep. If Crobat Taunts, I can just fire Off strong STAB surfs and Ice Shards.
LonelyNess switched in Moltres (lvl 100 Moltres).
Moltres is exerting its pressure!
Cloyster used Spikes.
Spikes were scattered around the foe's team!
---
vs
So I just sacrificed momentum for a layer of Spikes. I dont know if that was worth it, but we'll see. Now I have to deal with Moltres. Since he isnt getting Stealth Rock up anytime soon, I'll send in Hitmontop, who I need the least at the moment. Peace, Hitmontop! I really hope I dont regret this...
SuPsUp switched in Hitmontop (lvl 100 Hitmontop ?).

(Fnt) vs
As I said, I couldn't do much, but now I can start sweeping with Yanmega with his weakened Moltres.
SuPsUp switched in Yanmega (lvl 100 Yanmega ?).
vs
Yanmega can basically KO all of his Pokemon in two hits, the tricky thing is, I cant use Bug Buzz to KO Moltres. My second strongest move is Air Slash, so I'll give it a go. The worst thing that could happen, is that he switches in Regirock, which I hope to weaken anyway.
LonelyNess switched in Crobat (lvl 100 Crobat ?).
Yanmega used Air Slash.
Crobat lost 66% of its health.
Yanmega lost 10% of its health.
Crobat's leftovers restored its health a little!
Crobat restored 6% of its health.
Yanmega's Speed Boost raised its speed!
---
vs
Crobat? A wierd sacrifice, but I guess he was expecting a Bug Buzz. Now, I think..Air Slash is still the best move...or is it? He can now just switch into Regirock, since he knows i use Air Slash, and stop Yanmega, WHILE setting up stealth rock, and making me faint. Psychic is probably the safer choice, as it has 100% accuracy, AND will dent Regirock if it comes in.
LonelyNess switched in Honchkrow (lvl 100 Honchkrow ?).
Yanmega used Psychic.
It doesn't affect Honchkrow...
Yanmega's Speed Boost raised its speed!
---
vs
Wow, excellent play by LN, taking advantage of the fact that I didnt consider Honchkrow as a threat to Yanmega. I need Yanmega alive to sweep later on, and I have a near guaranteed Sucker Punch to work with. Cloyster comes to mind, as it can survive pretty much any attack, (even a Superpower) aimed at it, and it can threaten to KO with Ice Shard, and actually do some decent damage to his team at this point. Here it goes:
SuPsUp switched in Cloyster (lvl 100 Cloyster ?).
Honchkrow used Sucker Punch.
But it failed!
---
vs
As I thought. Time to put this bird to an end, the worst case scenario is that he sends out Regirock, or uses Sucker Punch. Ice Shard is a solid choice still.
LonelyNess switched in Moltres (lvl 100 Moltres).
Moltres is exerting its pressure!
Cloyster used Ice Shard.
Moltres lost 26% of its health.
Cloyster lost 10% of its health.
---
vs
Moltres barely survives an Ice Shard, but is now in KO range from another one. With Moltres gone I can abuse Registeel to its fullest. Another Ice Shard coming right up. I'm wondering if he'll switch...hmmm. If he goes to Regirock he can freely set up Stealth Rock, which is bad. However, Moltres plagues my team more than Stealth Rock, it's worth the risk imo.
LonelyNess switched in Regirock (lvl 100 Regirock).
Regirock was hurt by Spikes!
Regirock lost 12% of its health.
Cloyster used Ice Shard.
Regirock lost 12% of its health.
Cloyster lost 10% of its health.
Regirock's leftovers restored its health a little!
Regirock restored 6% of its health.

vs
Bleh, Regirock comes in to take the hit. This is terrible actually, because now he can safely set up Stealth Rock even though surf will do a ton of damage to it, it wont KO. This is looking pretty grim, I immediately regret sacrificing Hitmontop...however I can weaken his one remaining Yanmega counter.
Cloyster used Surf.
It's super effective!
Regirock lost 62% of its health.
Cloyster lost 10% of its health.
Regirock used Stealth Rock.
Pointed stones float in the air around the foe's team!
Regirock's leftovers restored its health a little!
Regirock restored 6% of its health.
---
vs
As I thought, Stealth Rock is up, and Yanmega is now crippled for the rest of the battle. Uhg. Well, at least I can get rid of Regirock now Surf + Ice Shard will probably KO the rest of his team, so he will probably just keep Regirock in to faint.
LonelyNess switched in Moltres (lvl 100 Moltres).
Moltres is exerting its pressure!

Moltres takes the hit, I guess I should have thought about that, and used Spikes to help sweep late game...but this isnt exactly a bad thing. I wonder who he'll send out now...probably Shaymin send Cloyster down.
LonelyNess switched in Shaymin (lvl 100 Shaymin).
Shaymin was hurt by Spikes!
Shaymin lost 12% of its health.
vs
Cloyster cant quite KO Shaymin with Ice Shard, but im not sure if LN knows this. He will probably Seed Flare to be safe, as losing Shaymin is a much greater loss than me losing Cloyster. With Cloyster nearly done its job, and Stealth Rock is on the feild limiting my switch-ins, it actually doesnt seem like a bad idea to Sacrifice, but Seed Flare is too obvious to pass up a free Stealth Rock from Registeel. Off to the tin can himself!

Oof, nope. He hit me hard, and now probably going to try and finish the job, or even use Synthesis. Either way, Yanmega is a good switch in for this situation, because I highly doubt he will use Hidden Power, risking Shaymin dying to Explosion or Iron Head.

Pointed stones dug into Cloyster.
Cloyster lost 25% of its health.

Ouch, those Rocks just own me. However his Sucker Punch wont KO me still, with Cloysters awesome defenses. He is forced to Superpower, or switch. I dont feel like risking it, Ice Shard is the safe move either way, because Regirock will just faint regardless.

Well that worked fine.....now here is the situation in a nutshell: He can KO me with Superpower, but possibly not with any of his other moves. If I switch to missy, I can keep switching, and play a mind game that way to try to get him to run out of Sucker Punch PP or possibly attack when he predicts the switch. Or, he can predict my switch to missy and use Night Slash, which also has a high-ish chance to crit and KO my Registeel. Either way its going to come down to a prediction war with Missy, so I might as well attack, and hope he uses night slash.

Now, did I use Thunderbolt and KO while he used Nightslash / Drill Peck, or use Trick while he used Sucker Punch and win? Wow, what a game! That was one of the best UU matches I have ever had, if not the best. Not only was there some very nice predictions and very nice plays and playstyle, but it ended with a 50-50 prediction war. GG LN! ....and fu SDS...:P
Props:
-Cloyster is the shit, and should be UU
-none of my Pokemon were that useless
-I had some nice Plays, and so did LN.

Cloyster did so much this battle, and it really is by far my MVP for this battle. It not only set up a layer of Spikes, but it KOed Regirock and Moltres, while keeping Honchkrow and Crobat in check. It also got Shaymin into Missy's KO range. You cant really expect much more from god damn seafood!
LonelyNess MVP:
Honchkrow (M) @ Life Orb
EVs: 252 Atk/252 Spe
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)

LN's Honchkrow kept me from being swept numerous times. Keeping my Yanmega and Mismagius checked, KOing Yanmega and Registeel, and nearly winning the game for LN makes it the MVP of the match for LN.

Ouch, could have been worse though. He can easily KO me with Drill Peck now, and I NEED Hitmontop to be alive to spin away SR. SR destroys my team (Cloyster, Yanmega). Slowbro can take a Drill Peck, I think, and can use this time to heal up.

Yea, SDS basically said it. Crobat will probably KO with Brave Bird, since I dont invest as heavily in defense as most do. However im not sure he knows that, and I think he may Taunt, its worth the risk to get Crobat down anyway. Psychic him in the face!

Oy Vey. Slowbro is down, time to set up some easy Spikes however. Cloyster is up!
SuPsUp switched in Cloyster (lvl 100 Cloyster ?).

Now, he is probably going to Taunt, or switch in Moltres. Either way, I dont lose anything by setting up for my late game sweep. If Crobat Taunts, I can just fire Off strong STAB surfs and Ice Shards.

So I just sacrificed momentum for a layer of Spikes. I dont know if that was worth it, but we'll see. Now I have to deal with Moltres. As I said, I couldn't do much, but now I can start sweeping with Yanmega with his weakened Moltres.
SuPsUp switched in Yanmega (lvl 100 Yanmega ?).

I'm wondering if he'll switch...hmmm. If he goes to Regirock he can freely set up Stealth Rock, which is bad. However, Moltres plagues my team more than Stealth Rock, it's worth the risk imo.

Bleh, Regirock comes in to take the hit. This is terrible actually, because now he can safely set up Stealth Rock even though surf will do a ton of damage to it, it wont KO. Now, he cant switch into Shadow Ball with Honchkrow, as SR damage + Shadow Ball will likely KO, making me the winner. His only bet is to sacrifice Shaymin, and sweep my remaining two Pokemon with Honchkrow, and its quite frightening how likely that is...I sense a prediction war coming.

Now, the predictable thing for me to do is to switch, but I think I know LN's playstyle better than this. He will spam Sucker Punch for a good while before he attacks. Getting Registeel out is my best bet, because then I can have basically two shots at predicting his attack.

LonelyNess: sorry just running some calcs to see if I've gotta do the "prediction" game
SuPsUp: ^_^
Well that worked fine.....now here is the situation in a nutshell: He can KO me with Superpower, but possibly not with any of his other moves. If I switch to missy, I can keep switching, and play a mind game that way to try to get him to run out of Sucker Punch PP or possibly attack when he predicts the switch. Or, he can predict my switch to missy and use Night Slash, which also has a high-ish chance to crit and KO my Registeel. Either way its going to come down to a prediction war with Missy, so I might as well attack, and hope he uses night slash.

Thanks for not being biased SDS....(/sarcasm) SDS either knows something that I dont, or this isnt 2-6 yet!
Well, if it isnt a Deja Vu from one of my previous Warstories......(my Little Cup one)
Here is the deal: Two things can happen. I can Trick, and eventually run him out of PP, or predict his attack. Or, I can suck it up, and get predicted and KOed with Night Slash or attack when he uses Sucker Punch. Knowing LN, he will probably use Sucker Punch for a bit longer. Well I certainly hope so....

Holy shit, its 50 / 50 this turn, as He is on his last Sucker Punch. Now I have honestly no idea what he's going to do. I guess since I play aggressively, he may assume I will use Thunderbolt here, and Sucker Punch me to oblivion, however I think im going to take a page out of the conservative book, and use Trick again to stall out his final PP.
Now, did I use Thunderbolt and KO while he used Nightslash / Drill Peck, or use Trick while he used Sucker Punch and win? Or did he use Sucker Punch while I Thunderbolted, or Nightslash / Drill Peck while I used Trick, making me lose? Highlight the white text to find out.....just kidding its not white this time!

-No super important hax.
-Fun, suspensful, and great battle!
Slops:
-Minor hax with Shadow Ball, albeit not much mattered in the end.

LN's Honchkrow kept me from being swept numerous times. Keeping my Yanmega and Mismagius checked, KOing Yanmega and Registeel, and nearly winning the game for LN makes it the MVP of the match for LN.
