Assuming that Azelf has a neutral nature and flawless HP and Def IVs and no HP or Def EVs, you're doing 69.07% - 81.44% to it if it stays in, so no, you won't OHKO it.

Can Suicune also make a Rain lead?

Can Suicune also make a Rain lead?

Substitute will allow Suicune to Calm Mind-Up safely. And Roar doesn't seem as useful on this set. Suicune can make a Rain lead too, it's defensive enough to withstand hits for repetitive activations.

if you breed 2 pokemon with streight 31 iv's together will the baby have streight 31 iv's. because i have a starmie with the stupid illuminate ability and a ditto that is flawless?

No. 3 IVs should be flawless (chosen at random), the other 3 are random.

Is it true that in the Battle Castle, you can buy a certain item for your Pokemon, and when you come back to the castle they give it back to said Pokemon, or do I have to spend CP twice? Because i've seen teams posted in the Frontier thread saying they have items, but I don't want to trust it yet.

After you buy an item at battle castle, you will have that item for use for the rest of your 7 streaks only (unless it's a berry or focus sash and gets used them... then you'll have to buy the item again if it gets used up in a battle). After every 7 streak, the item will be returned and you will have to buy them again when you start another 7 streak.

Can't you influence the ability of bred Pokemon or something? I thought I once heard somewhere that you could.

you can influence the nature of a bred pokemon, if the mother of the pokemon you bread was holding an everstone then there will be a 50/50 chance that the bread pokemon will have the same nature as the mother.

I'm thinking about buying a DSi, but I have already used my DS to connect to the GTS with Platinum. I know that there is a warning message the first time you attempt to connect saying that once I connect I have to use the same DS I used the first time with my game. My question is, is there anyway around this? If I buy a DSi, will I be able to trade on the GTS using it if I have already connected with my old DS? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Why is it that when I'm EV training a PkMn that just hatched, the stat increases aren't astronomical like when I lv a 50 or so PkMn?

The biggest reason is the fact that Lv50 Pokemon are usually evolved Pokemon and therefore have higher base stats, so they gain more points.

However, in relation to the EVs, you are probably gaining more EVs from Level 50 to Level 51 than from Level 1 to Level 2. Not only can you gain a TON more experience, and along with that, EVs, but you might be fighting a Level 2 Pokemon with your Level 1 or something instead of doing the switching thing, and NFEs give less EVs than their evolved forms. Also, you can't see changes gained by EVs until higher levels because:

1) If you aren't using a Power Item, you will most likely only fight one battle before leveling up a Pokemon to Level 2, so you won't have 4 EVs to increase a stat by

2) The 4 EVs thing is only for when a Pokemon is at Level 100. At lower levels, a Pokemon needs more EVs to show the same stat change. You most likely won't see any major changes until after Level 25.

Why do I keep saying "Level"? O_O

I'm wondering whether the 10% drop in accuracy for Marowak's Boomerang attack (as compared to Earthquake's 100% accuracy) is worth its ability to break substitutes and hit again. Does anyone have any thoughts on whether this would be strategically useful?

I spose I should've specified a little more.

So I'm EV training my Pokerus'd Scizor (who I hatched from an egg and immediately evolved) with a Power Anklet vs the Starly around Sandgem, and I'm still getting crappy stat gains.
If it's at a low level, the stat gains are less noticeable, especially if the EV's per level gained are lower. The full effect is felt at level 100
