Rate My Battle Tower Team

For those who even care, I just joined smogon. Main reason for joining is Battle Tower Help. Here's the team that I'm using and yes I know the whole choice scarf trick technique is used by others, but this is a rate MY team, not flame me for "copying an idea". So without further ado here is my team:

Metagross@choice scarf
Jolly-Clear Body
252 HP /252 Speed /6 def
Lvl.50 stats-186/147/146/91/106/128
IVs-29/14/22/4/22/21
~Trick
~Flash
~Reflect
~Aerial Ace

128 speed is close enough to 132 and outspeeds mostly everything in the battle tower with choice scarf allowing metagross to get in the first trick. Flash for 3/9 accuracy and reflect is for Suicune support just in case it needs it while it calm minds. Now I know aerial ace seems weird but a sceptile and gallade (the leaf blader variants) have given me trouble in the past when I had light screen instead of aerial ace. It has saved me in the past because without an attack and if battle tower hax cause my other two pokes to be KO'd against, metagross = setup fodder w/light screen instead of AA.

Know as you can see this is metagross (this entire team actually) is almost the exact same concept as Everstone's team. Here's the link:

Anyways metagross' typing bring in two kinds of attacks, mainly ground and fire. Water and Thunder attacks are drawn in as well. Gliscor sets up on ground and electric attacks while suicune can practically take the rest. If, it's a grass type, I'll flash until they can barely hit me, and bring in suicune (the most beautiful and elegant pokemon Ev4R) to calm mind and sweep. I might also let metagross take a few hits until it faints and after using reflect to deplete the opponents PP as well as flash that as well.

Gliscor@Focus Sash
Adamant-Hyper Cutter
252 HP /252 Attack /6def
Lvl.50 stats-178/158/145/57/82/112
IVs-23/25/30/28/4/24
~Agility
~Night Slash
~Earthquake
~Swords Dance

The main idea here is to come in on a ground or electric attack setup and sweep. Earthquake + X-scissor = death from above (flying types) and the elemental fangs just don't provide enough power and cresselia is another reason for me to use nightslash over the elemental fangs. Aerial Ace would've made Bronzong a pain to kill if it wasn't the poke I was setting up on so this hits everything except for Shiftry and Cacturne for neutral (if not, tell me), and they get easily KO'd thanks to their crappy defenses. Speed Ev's weren't necessary at all since I believe 213-214 is max BT pokemon speed and a single agility has me outspeeding everything bar priority moves and quick claw, so i dumped everything in HP to take a hit just in case my focus sash is broken.

Here he is, the star of the team, known by some (or just me) as the great wall of Chi...i mean the great wall, Suicune!

Suicune@Leftovers
Bold-Pressure
252 HP/ 252 Def/ 6 w/e
Lvl.50 stats-207/85/182/110/135/105
IVs-31/30/30/31/31/30 (Hidden Power electric FYI)
~Surf
~Rest
~Ice Beam
~Calm Mind

Comes in on fire attacks or just about anything and sets up it's 6 calm minds, and struggles them to death while it sleeps off the damage and status afflictions if any. No sleep talk you ask, well, if i'm trying to waste THEIR pp and they can't hurt me, well leftovers recovers struggle damage, and water absorbers make the battle EVEN longer than they already take. So ice beam provides all around coverage if not the best coverage.

Now this team is near perfect in my opinion but I am still asking for help only because I'm pissed off at the damn tower. The tower was only, and I STRONGLY mean ONLY able to kill my team through hax.

First time, her Gligar gets tricked into holding choice scarf and gets locked into guillotine(battle 78 beauty jaclyn). I switch in Gliscor cuz Suicune is too crucial to lose because of the towers random haxxing. Gligars guillotine hits...but Gliscor survives via Focus Sash. Guillotine HITS AGAIN. Dead Gliscor. I switch in Metagross and Guillotine hits again......@#@#%$#%$%$ ^ %$%$(#$(#*$). Suicune comes in and I fire off an ice beam right away...IT DOESN'T DIE. It uses guillotine and misses and Suicune's second ice beam faints it. A Sharpedo comes in and w/o calm mind it took a few turns to kill it. I HAD to attack because it was using crunch and lower suicunes defense EVERYTIME. So Sharpedo dies. Marshtomp outspeeds and earthquakes which kills suicune because it was at red health thanks to those other haxing bastards.

Second time, Tangrowth quick claw outspeed metagross and lands a sleep powder then an earthquake. Earthquake, that's Gliscor's que. Bring in gliscor, it uses power whip, gliscor take WAY too much damage. Switch back to metagross, it wakes up and tricks. Power Whip lock...$%$*()&%*(#&$@(#*@&#(@*&#(%*&($*%. I used reflect and aerial ace which didn't kill it but power whip, through the power of random haxxing criticals and takes out both metagross and gliscor. Suicune comes in and I know it's not surviving a power whip or even KO'ing tangrowth w/o a calm mind, but I try an ice beam anyways. Fails to KO and GG. Shit, told you it was haxxed.

THIRD TIME, that's right a THIRD TIME, Suicune comes in on cresselia that's firing off shadow balls thanks to trick (Palmer second time). It criticals 3 times and takes out my entire team ~_~. Gliscor didn't KO it with a night slash T_T.

So know you see why I say this team only losses to hax. Not even stick hold pokemon could break through suicune, and magnet pullers were struggled to death via trick and flash and the following pokes after the magnet pullers were laughed off but suicune. I need help and ratings on my team and what I can do to counter this RANDOMD F#$@ing haxxing of the "can't win against my team w/o cheating" battle tower.

Use the standard set.Anyway, trick cripples CM cune badly.you do not need reflect seeing that suicune has a base 115 defense.flash is really useless.

you can consider passing speed to suicune since it has a low base speed.although the set is fine the way it is now.

Thanks for the input Casanova.

I was also thinking of making Gliscor a speed and defense passer instead.
Harden, Agility, Roost, Baton Pass. But this makes Gliscor setup fodder. So maybe Harden,Roost, Baton Bass and ????. You guys tell me.

If OHKO moves are a problem for you, replace Gliscor with Sturdy Skarmory. Problem solved with the same immunity to ground moves =P

Perhaps

Skarmory @ Leftovers
Adamant - Sturdy
(I'm really not sure about EVs)

- Agility
- Swords Dance
- Drill Peck
- Night Slash/Rock Slide/Toxic/X-scissor/Roost

EDIT: As a bonus, it resists power whip by 4 times.
No more Tangrowth phobias =D

EDIT 2: If you don't mind losing the precious Suicune, you might also want to try Houndoom with flash fire. It doesn't even need to heal off the damage.
Use nasty plot, then sunny day, and prepare to rape.

I considered Skarmory but the problem with Skarmory is the same reason I chose Gliscor over it, 2 pokemon with Electric weaknesses (Suicune + Skarmory).

Thunderpuch might leave me with nothing to switch in on since even Skarmory's defenses would fare little against an electivire's thunderpunch.

But I am considering Skarmory alongside the Metagross Casanova pointed out. Electrics can get earthquaked to hell by Metagross.

Thanks for the input devilry.

By the way I thought of something else.
Instead of Suicune you could try CM Latias.

Latias @ Leftovers
Timid
252 HP, 252 Spe, 4 SpA
- Calm Mind
- Dragon Pulse
- Surf
- Recover

Resistances to fire, electric, water, fighting and immunity to ground makes it a great compliment for metagross.

I wanted to use Latios/Latias, either would've been fine but there's just one problem. I don't have either with a timid nature. And the Ice weakness of my team would increase as opposed to the Electric weakness increase from using Skarmory.

Thanks for the input.

I've also made a few changes btw. Took off flash and aerial ace from Metagross and replaced them with Explosion and Bullet Punch. Meteor Mash doesn't have the accuracy and earthquake is present on my gliscor who I also switched in with another gliscor that I got in a trade at level 100 so the EV's couldn't be changed but I didn't want to change them. Here are his stats and moves:

Gliscor@Yache Berry (IT'S SHINY ^_~)
Impish-Sand Veil (Awwwww)
252 HP/252 Def EVs
Lvl.50 stats-181/110/193/51/90/114
IVs-31/21/30/14/20/29
~Roost
~Swords Dance(it came with aerial ace)
~Stone Edge
~Earthquake

It has sand veil so that's not too great but it was meant to be a tank so attack loss isn't a problem. This guy comes in physical attacks it resists or either of its two immunities. As a result (Suicune despite having a larger def stat takes more damage from physicals) Gliscor comes in more often and the significance of that is explained below in the last sentence. I only lost with my reconfigured team cuz of my own stupidity. A Gliscor got Hydro Pumped by a Starmie, so I figured it probably has thunder too. I switched in Metagross and exploded only to have Suicune, my last poke, fight a Latios with thunder that paralyzed with it's first hit and suicune couldn't move and killed with a second hit at 65 wins. Plus this team works much faster than my team pre-changes because that team relied too heavily on Suicune. (Big wall of words, yea I know :P)

Lol, I agree with Frogoholic. Don't mean to be mean Casanova but all I can say is Lol@gliscor w/no baton pass or attack. XD
