X-Men (Sandstorm RMT)

Hey, this is another RMT i've posted. I'm not very good on Shoddy but i'm slowly learning lol. I always wanted to play a weather team because i love theme based teams. At first i tried a Rain Dance team but it got old fast. It was basically auto piloting due to SR->Rain Dance->Explode->sweeper #1 ->RDer #2->repeat >_>

I decided to try some sandstorm teams and i tested a lot of pokes out before i came to this team. Instead of relying on sandstream from a lead poke, i have it on my revenge killer incase other pokes try to weather me out of Sand storm.
I've tested this and it doesn't seem to have any ridiculous weaknesses but my old standard OU team did a lot better than this team but i want to improve on this and eventually make this sandstorm team my main.

The Beast
Swampert@Leftovers

Bold Nature
Torrent
240 HP / 216 Def / 52 SpA
Hydro Pump
Ice Beam
Stealth Rock
Protect

Special swampert lead. His main role is to set up SR and scout with protect. He can also bluff because a lot of EQ weak people expect and EQ and switch out to something that resists/immune to EQ and gets Hydropumped. Most common situations i remember are the Rotom switches. Against lead grosses, i SR then protect for when they explode. Sometimes though they explode first turn :(

skarmory.png

Colossus
Skarmory@Shed Shell

Impish
Keen Eyes
252 HP / 64 Atk / 176 Def / 16 Spe
Spikes
Whirlwind
Brave Bird
Roost

The grass attacks aimed at Swampert or the EQs aimed at Empoleon are directed at Skarmory. Skarmory is also my spiker, phazer, and physical tank. Pretty self explanatory i guess since almost everyone has seen a Skarmory. I might replace this with a scizor to be more offensive but idk yet.

flygon.png

Archangel
Flygon@Choice Scarf
Adamant
Levitate
252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Outrage
Fire Punch
Earth Quake
U-turn

Fire/Electric attacks aimed at Skarmory or the EQs aimed at Empoleon are directed towards Flygon. The standard scarf set. Outrage/EQ for stab, FIre Punch for steels, U-turn to scout. I prefer garchomp but meh >_>

empoleon.png

Cyclops
Empoleon@Petaya Berry

Modest
Torrent
12 HP / 12 Def / 252 SpA / 232 Spe
Substitute
Agility
Ice Beam
Surf

HAPPY FEET, WOMBO COMBO, DAT AINT FALCO...>_> Amazing beast. Ice/Dragon attacks aimed at Flygon goes to Empoleon, who proceeds to agility on the switch, sub, then sweep. Can also take the water attacks aimed at Tyrannitar, or Gliscor. Only main problem with this is enemy water types and Gyarados. Im still trying to find a solution.

gliscor.png

Wolverine
Gliscor@Leftovers
Jolly
Sand Veil
252 HP / 40 SpD / 216 Spe
Sword Dance
Earth Quake
Stone Edge
Roost

Absorbs the fighting attacks aimed at Empoleon and Ttar. Sword Dance lets it set up and sweep as much as it can and Roost to give it more longetivity. EQ for stab and Stone Edge for fliers. I'm looking for a replacement for him because he doesn't seem to do much..or i'm doing it wrong >_>

tyranitar.png

Sabretooth
Tyrannitar@Choice Band

Adamant
176 HP / 252 Atk / 80 Spe
Stone Edge
Crunch
Pursuit
Fire Punch

Lets pretend Sabretooth is in the X-men >_> Revenge killer and the bringer of the sandstorm. What's a SS team without the SS? Fire punch for steels, Stone edge for gyaras and zapdos, Crunch for ghosts. Pursuit for the sexiness and traps Lati@s and Focusblastless ghosts.

Yeah, i find a lot of problems with this team and i'm thinking of finding a way to imcorporate SD luke into this team and to reduce my snarling weeknesses. I know not everyone has to resist SS so PLEASE help me improve this team :)

Off topic: Hey your name looks familiar. Were you a user of basilmarket before?

I run a sandstorm team too ;) So I think I could help.

Anyway, I see a potential weakness to Mamoswine. Flygon won't save your team if it takes an ice shard and neither will gliscor, while Tyranitar and Empoleon both fall to earthquake.

Also, if you let a DD gyarados set up all over you, there's nothing stopping it from destroying your team. Not one of your pokemon possess an electric move.

Apart from that, I notice that all your walls are physical based too, making you vulnerable to special attacks.

Heh I love swampert too =D Good choice of a pokemon!
Well Earthquake is not really necessary, but chances are that if you wanna make swampert switch into any pesky electric pokemon, you have nothing to hit them back with. Also, the earthquake on MixPert is the only thing that stops it from being completely unable to touch Blissey, so you might wanna consider the Mixed version.

If you're planning to replace skarmory with scizor, just do note that scizor does NOT carry the value skarmory does as a wall. It would be more apt to replace gliscor, if anything.

Personally I'm not too sure on flygon. Its role of taking electric and ground attacks, along with gliscor, makes their jobs quite the same. I suggest that either one of them should go. This will also help to lessen the huge ice weakness that you have. I think Zapdos/Raikou deserves a mention for a scarfed pokemon because it can keep Gyarados in check, U turn as well and add electric moves to your arsenal, which you lack. Notice that not a single one of your pokemon can score a suepreffective hit on Suicune. Zapdos boasts Heat Wave to decimate Steel types too.

Hmm if you wanna go sub+petaya, it's pretty much going to be a one time shot so you'll have to clear the bulky waters in your opponent's team before it comes out, which further more makes an electric/grass pokemon a must. Watch out for speed priority moves like mach punch on breloom though. To cover that, you could possibly try the physical version with leichi berry and aqua jet.

Once again, either flygon or gliscor has to go. Scizor could replace gliscor. Other alternatives include but are not restricted to: Kingdra, Gyarados, Salamence. Otherwise, if you don't mind completely removing gliscor for a special wall, get latias or blissey. They will really help tank special moves for you. Latias can run the calm mind set or support set to help your team while blissey could provide some invaluable predictionless tanking with aromatheraphy to boot.

Well you might wanna take crunch out for Aqua Tail. It stops Tyranitar from being pretty harmless to defensive Hippowdon, Donphan or Gliscor.
