Summer Sets on a Sunny Day (OU)

Well, this is my first RMT here, I hope it turns out ok. Tell me how it sounds.

Well I hardly ever see Sunny Day teams floating around, so I decided to make something unoriginal and try and build it competitive, here it is.

Bronzong @ Heat Rock
Impish Nature
Ability: Levitate
EV's: 252 HP / 128 ATK / 128 DEF
-Sunny Day
-Stealth Rock
-Reflect
-Explosion

LeadZong, has a lot of potential in OU, thanks to its sturdiness I can have a movepool based on just setting up, Sunny Day helps the whole team out. Stealth Rock is needed to help me have a easier time sweeping. Reflect is stop Physical threats from harming my team, and Explosion is when I'm all done.

Sunflora @ Choice Specs
Modest Nature
Ability: Solar Power
EV's: 248 HP / 252 Sp.ATK / 10 SPE
-Leaf Storm
-Energy Ball
-Sludge Bomb
-Hidden Power Fire

Oh boy, please do not underestimate this beast, Sunflora reaches a whopping 762 Special Atk, after factoring in Choice Specs and Sunny Day. Leaf Storm provides STAB and deals tremdous amount of damage to even those who resist it. Energy Ball is just incase you do not plan on switching out, it also provides STAB. Its too bad Sunflora, lacks a good movepool, so I had to add in Sludge Bomb, even do it has horrible coverage, but it will deal with the likes of Celebi. Hidden Power Fire nails the likes of Scizor, Forretress, and Abombsnow. The given evs allow Sunflora to take hits, even a Ice Beam, from a Vaporeon and deal huge damage back at it.

Infernape @ Life Orb
Naive Nature
EV's: 64 Atk / 252 SpA / 192 Spe
-Fire Blast
-Close Combat
-Hidden Power Ice
-Solar Beam

Infernape is just flat out a monster, even without the use of Sunny Day. Fire Blast provides STAB. One of the biggest threats to Sunny Day teams is Blissey as most Pokemon that ultilize Sunny Day are specially based so Close Combat is a obvious must as it deals with that and provides STAB. Hidden Power ICE, OHKO's most dragons that don't pack a Yache Berry.

Cresselia @ Heat Rock
Bold Nature
EV's: 252 HP / 252 DEF / 6 Sp. ATK
-Ice Beam
-Moonlight
-Sunny Day
-Thunder Wave

One of the biggest threats to Sunny Day teams is, Dragons and Cresslia is the one that deals with them best in Sunny Day Teams. Ice Beam takes out the likes of Salamence and Flygon, which could be team threatening without it. Moonlight heals a massive 2/3 of the hp in Sunlight. Sunny Day helps the team and Thunder Wave cripples faster Sweepers.

Heatran @ Choice Scarf
Naive Nature
EV's: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
-Fire Blast
-Earth Power
-Dragon Pulse
-Explosion

Heatran is one of best sweepers in OU, not only that, but it also helps as one of the best sweepers for Sunny Day Teams. Fire Blast is obvious, as its STAB. Earth Power lets you hit opposing Heatrans. SolarBeam, will OHKO Swampert and deal massive damage to other bulky waters. Explosion hits special walls like Blissey.

Jumpluff @ Leftovers
Jolly Nature
Ability: Chlorophyll
EV's: 188 Def / 68 SpD / 252 Spe
-Encore
-Substitute
-Leech Seed
-Aerial Ace

Jumpluff is the biggest beast of all Sunny Day beasts, reaching 700 Speed with a positive speed nature, 252 Speed Evs, and Sunny Day. This thing can outspeed anything in the current metagame, even Pokemon with Choice Scarf. This helps Jumpluff in using encore, as its best used when switching in on a attack, its quiet obvious that you should predict your opponent will switch after using encore as there going to have to repeat the same move 3-8 times. On the predicted switches I use substitute then used Leech Seed, this also gets alot of people ticked off and ready to switch out. Aerial Ace provides STAB. Basically this set just annoys the opponent all day.

Comment, Rate, Suggest, Tell me what you think.

You don't need so much speed evs or even a speed boosting nature on Jumpluff I think. 700 is just a bit overkill, you could allocate them in hp or the defenses to invoke the more stallish feel of your jumpluff. Solarbeam may look good with sunny day out, but especially on Heatran, a way to deal with dragons is more useful. I suggest HP ice or Dragon Pulse.

Yeah I know its overkill, I'll find out later what speed evs will outspeed the fastest scarfer in the metagame in put some in HP. As for Dragons, Cresselia deals with the most common ones; Salamence and Flygon. Without SolarBeam, I will have a hard time with Swampert and Rhyperior.

Well first of all I don't really think two sunny day users are enough. For a team that relies on the weather to take full effect you need to have at least 4 or 3.
Bronzong just doesn't seem to be doing very well as a lead, Pokemon like Aerodactyl or Azelf can taunt you and your forced to switch or explode either way you fail to set up the sun.

I'll try to help more tomorrow I got to go to sleep

Well I don't need the wheather on badly, some Pokemon work ok even without it, they just won't be at full potential. Cresselia and Bronzong are very sturdy I'm pretty sure they can maintain themselves.

Sunny Day over Aerial Ace on Jumpluff. You won't believe how many opportunities that thing will get to set up on a team without a good grass type (You're still setting up even if they do lol)

On Sunflora, Solarbeam is 100% superior to Energyball under the sun.

I would consider dropping her for MixTangrowth though.

My 2 cents:

The reason you don't see too many Sunny Day teams is because there's no Fire type pokemon with Chlorophyll, as opposed to Water Types with Swift Swim. A shame, really, that no one can abuse it.

I don't think your Bronzong is going to be able to Screen, set up Sun, AND SR at the same time, so you may as well drop either the Screen or SR in place for an offensive move such as Gyro Ball or Earthquake, which will allow Bronzong to retaliate incase it's taunted, and to take a bit of the load of off Cressilia later, assuming it's still alive. Also, drop Levitate for Heatproof; I see Bronzong and usually assume it has Levitate, so I'm not going to waste a potential EQ on it. Sun only makes him even weaker to Fire, which Heatproof will help a bit. Also, did you take this from the Torrential Zong in the dex and give it Sunny Day? If so, you shouldn't be leading with it.

Bronzong @ Heat Rock (Impish Nature) ~ Heatproof
252 Hp/128 Atk/128 Def
-Sunny Day
-Stealth Rock/Reflect/Light Screen
-Explosion
-Gyro Ball/EarthQuake

If you want a different lead, give Jirachi or Azelf a try; both can set up Sunny Day.

Jirachi @ Heat Rock (Adamant Nature) ~ Serence Grace
252 Hp/ 80 Atk/ 176 Spe
-Sunny Day
-U-Turn
-Wish
-Iron Head/Filler

Your Sunflora's got a whopping 30 Base Speed and 105 Base SpA. That's not really usable in OU; being locked into 1 move on top of that doesn't help either.

CB Scizor BP: 173.37% - 203.97%.
Hp Fire vs 252/0 Celebi: 54.46% - 64.11%.

Which doesn't help at all. I'd drop Sunflora for either mixed Tangrowth or Victreebel, whom have much higher Attack, Special Attack, and Speed.

Victreebel @ Life Orb (Naughty / Naive) ~ Chloryphyll
120 Atk/ 252 Atk/ 136 Spe
- Energy Ball/Grass Knot/Leaf Storm
- Sludge Bomb
- Hidden Power Fire/Ice
- Leaf Blade/Sucker Punch

Mess with the EVs/moves however you need.

Infernape looks alright, but you probably don't want Solar Beam; true, Tyranitar might be afraid to switch in, but if it can catch you on the turn you charge, Infernape's dead. Give it Grass Knot.

Jumpluff, drop Aeriel Ace for either Memento or Sunny Day. If you intend to stall using SubSeeding, you'll need more than 5-8 turns of Sunlight. Jumpluff can also be an emergency "suicide" with Memento, or can be used to bring the sunlight back if something else happened.

In my sunndy day teams i always find it useful to run Growthtran.
Its a simple strategy which leads Flash fire Sunny day fire blast sweep.
Im going to go look for the link to the set and ill edit this post with it later ^^.

If you do go with Moltres, you are going to need a plan to prevent/eliminate stealth rock. You don't want to have something lose 50% of it's health every time it switches in.

Even with max speed timid nature and chlorophyll, Sunflora doesn't even outrun neutral base 125's. If you really want to rip teams apart with sunflora, give bronzong trick room, and use it after you have set up sunny day. Explode out, and your sunflora has three turns of absolute devistation.
