Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

If I generate a Zapdos, for example, in the year 2010 and save, then I change the year for 2009 and catch him, will right?

Yes, it is a pokemon game. I've tried changing the year, but I always get the opposite of what RNG Reporter said. Is there a way to change your delays besides the GBA game?
And yes Duff, as long as you saved Zapdos' IV's will stay the same.

No it won't work duff. every time you reset, the zapdos' ivs change

Learn how to do it before giving advice.

Yes releasing zapdos and then saving it will keep the zapdos at the same IVs and allow you to change the date.

loedoc, if you need delay 601 (just an example) in 2009 and you can only hit evens, then go for 600 in year 2010.

But it seems that as my years change, so does my delays. My odd delays become even, and vice versa.

That sucks. All you can do is resave. You might have a game that requires you to resave. Or you are just checking your delay by catching a pokemon and forgetting to change the year in RNG reporter.

Oh wow, I think that's what happened. I put in the wrong year. I'll try it again.

Ok, that was the problem. Thanks for your help LightingFusion!

Dang, ran into some problems again. So, I soft reseted like normal and I got heads instead of tails for the coin flip. So like in the directions, I found out my initial seed. I got 698 delay, and a 15 second value. Both were what I needed. So I'm wondering, how come I got a different initial seed? I'm pretty sure I hit my target time.

Are you looking at the right list for the coins? You need to look at DPPt PID.

This happened to me as well loedoc and the problem was that I didn't copy the seed for the target frame, I copied the PID instead, I don't know if that is any help..

fusion, maybe this is why I am having problems, please explain in more detail on how to get the coin flip list please..

I'm pretty sure I was. But even then, I still got a different initial seed.
And Wulf, did the PID actually give you coin flip results.

Frame: 1346
Initial Seed: 081102C2
Flips: T H H H H H T H H H
I put the C in the seed as lower case, if that matters.

Yeah the PID gave me the wrong results...
so you take the seed of the target frame and put it in the main page, then switch the method to DPPt egg(normal) and thats it right?

b O.O d, I personally catch them next to the survival area. You only have about a one in ten chance to encounter something below Lv. 50. (In Diamond at least)

As in above the fight area? That's where I was fighting before, but as I said, only 1/4th of the pokemon I encountered were above 50

Route 224 (through the pokemon league) thats what I recomend, but It could take a while because you have to partner up with this weird girl lol

Oh and lv49s work well to (i just checked my delay with a lv.49 and i got 591 when i wanted 599 X.X)
