Why don't we split the smogon server into two servers and keep them on the same leader board? This would cut down lag that many people suffer from.
 
Kay, I got into Shoddy, and I'm designing my team, but just wondering, it's allowed to make 31s in all IVs, right? On shoddy that is. Like if I have a Gengar with all 31s, I won't get screamed at by an opponent who used real IVs

Yes, you can put them as all 31 if you want (and most people do).
 
I can't seem to get shoddy battle to work for me after the recent update, it downloads and all. But, when I load it up it shows all the available servers but, there is no one in the servers and when I click connect it says that the connection to the server tapped out. Can anyone help me?
 
I recently reinstalled Shoddy but when I battle someone there is only one battle option and one switching option but I can't read it because its tucked away to the right hand corner. I can chat but I can't battle anyone. One mod told me to reinstall again but it didn't help at all. Am I installing incorrectly? How do you reinstall properly with a Mac?

And for the record, to correctly uninstall on a mac, you go Applications/Utilities/Java Preferences -> network tab -> view cache files -> delete shoddy battle

Slaking used Pursuit.

Kharozz's Alakazam fainted.

I was going to switch on the next turn, but somehow Slaking got to move twice. Does Pursuit overcome Traunt or is it a bug?

Unexpected quitting on mac

I run a macbook and shoddy battle has been qutting unexpectedly every half an hour or so.. Anyway to fix this?
 
Make sure you have the latest java update (via software update) and also make sure you have Java 1.6 as the top choice in your Java Preferences. This was a problem at one point but the java update seemingly fixed it
 
I'm getting an Unable to Launch application error box when I try to open shoddy battle. I have the most up to date java program, any help would be appreciated.

What are the rules that someone could be banned from Shoddy for 24 hours . . . need my Smogon pokemon fix like a crack whore needs a good motorboatin

Shoddy is playing online battles as if they were in the actual games. The main reason it's used is because you can create whatever team you want within minutes as opposed to training an entire team in-game, not to mention the battles take loads faster. If you're interested in playing pokemon competitively, it's strongly recommended.

If someone could so kindly help me install shoddy battle without it popping up the box, "Unable to launch Application" that would be greatly appreciated. Man, why doesn't anyone's questions get answered on this thread?

Is Shoddybattle legal? Because that's the main reason why I'm avoiding it. So that's why I'm creating teams the old-fashion way: Taking weeks-months to build a team in Peral and going into Wifi to battle. I also can't do with stuff like Hidden Power or Perfect IVs due to not having the time to do so.
