This went the entire page without being answered.

I presume this means +SpDef Uxie is not viable, but I figure I'd give this a second chance.

I think that a Calm/Careful/Sassy Uxie would do well, as its Sp.def is as large as its def.

I'm trying (in vain) to chain Magnemites so i can get a shiny (I can't RNG) Are there any IVs that I must exceed or equal when It transforms into a scarf magnezone?

It's not viable because Uxie learns Calm Mind. There is no reason to have a nature that increases special defense if you can just use Calm Mind. That's why it's best to give it a +Def nature

Basically, if you can get a 31 in Speed (Speed is always important to have maxed) and about 28+ in SpA you should be fine.

I always said 22+/x/20+/28+/20+/31 was a reasonable IV spread for chained shinies that weren't abusing the RNG or being bred.

EDIT: @Ubers: Though we're not really supposed to theorymon here, I do see a flying pikachu in the background of the picture.

that said there was a small chances of geting a pikachu with Fly

and in the backround of the picture at that link there is a flying pikachu (the one that has balloons on its back)

opps i didnt read the bottom of Xia's post :P

Say im battling a DD Tyranitar and it uses dragon dance, the next turn i go first and use trick. Is Tyranitar locked into Dragon Dance or whatever move it uses next?

Actually, a "mirror match" is typically used to refer to a match where both players are playing the same character in a fighting game (this is also called a "ditto"). As applied to pokemon, I assume it would be both players using the same team. I haven't actually heard anybody apply the term to pokemon though.

Can someone please explain to me every situation in which the move Copycat does not work? Thanks.

P.S. I already know that it works if no other move has been used.

I made a topic on this but I guess this question should go here. I need help really badly!

Ok I started RNGing without making sure I had a reliable way to advance the RNG. So I FINALLY hit the right time, had a frame of 250, 2 wanderers and a monster frame of 1. therefore, I need to advance it 247 levels, right? the only problem is, I am stuck at darkrai's island and my journal has no caught/fainted pokemon. also, since there is no wild pokemon area, I can't advance the RNG that way. therefore, the only way to advance is by walking but I have 5 pokemon in my party and 247 is not divisible by 5. Is all hope lost? can I even return to the mainland without catching/killing darkrai?

Also, I heard that if you kill darkrai it will be back afterwards. If I were to fight it and kill it, how much would it advance the RNG??

Some moves can't be Copycatted, probably the same ones that can't be Sketched. Also, you can Copycat your own last move but if you try to Copycat a move that you used via Copycat the previous turn it'll fail. To explain it clearer:

Lucario used Aura Sphere! Enemy fainted.
Lucario used Copycat! Lucario used Aura Sphere! Enemy fainted.
Lucario used Copycat! But it failed.

Copycat is a fun move.

You can't leave without battling Darkrai, but it will indeed be back if you leave and come back. I don't RNG or know too much about doing so but your best bet would probably be to flee/kill Darkrai, then get things set up again before going for round 2.

Can anyone with knowledge of Little Cup give me their opinion of Remoraid? It looks interesting and I want to try it for my first attempt at the metagame.

What moves can't be sketched?

As quoted from here...

Generation II

Sketch allows the user to copy the opponent's last move permanently, therefore replacing Sketch. Sketch cannot be used to copy Selfdestruct, Explosion, Struggle, or Metronome.
Generation III

The effects of Sketch continue into this generation; it can now be used to copy Selfdestruct and Explosion when used in a battle with a Pokémon with the Damp ability. It can be used to copy "calling" moves, such as Metronome, if the move fails to activate due to effects such as Sleep. This did not work in Generation II.
Generation IV

Same as Generation III. Sketch cannot be used to copy Chatter and Struggle.

it has its own perks, hustle is a good way to do a lot of damage, but it's slow and the lack of a priority move doesn't help it out at all. It really can't switch in either, so you'd have to use it as a revenge killer or just a pokemon to hit switches rather hard.

I see. Based on your description, it would work nicely with a scarf set, yes?

Choice Band or Scarf. Scarf works to catch opponents by surprise, but it's fucking over by the (annoyingly) common priority moves that are out and about. Choice Band hits harder, with less speed, (choice scarf doesn't give it all to great speed though to be honest), I would try a Choice Band out first, and then go and try a Choice Scarf if you don't like how the band works out.

I know that this is probably completely out of place, but I didn't know of a better one to ask. What would you guys( and some girls) think of a Firebot thread on "Stupidest things you've ever done?" I wanted to get an opinion so that I don't look look a total idiot just starting a thread that nobody would be interested in.

Thanks SoT. I was thinking of utilizing a mixed set, but I'll take your advice into consideration.

asstelo, I think you'd be best off just lurkinh more. >_>
