After having made and taken some teams from Smogon till the time so far, I had decieded that it was time to build another team for the ladder. This team is a balanced team and took about a week to build. So well, Lets go on to the team!
Team Overview:
So You can see that it consists of a:
Lead, 2 Priority, 2 Bulky Offensive pokes, 1 Sweeper
My team has 3 Pokemon affected by Spikes,
2 Pokemon affected by T.Spikes
3 Pokemon weak to Stealth Rock
Team In Depth:
@Focus Sash
Nature:-Naive
Ev's:- 4 Sp. Att/ 252 Att/ 252 Spe
Ability:-Levitate
Moveset:- Stealth Rock
Explosion
Fire Blast
Taunt
What it does for the Team:
Azelf is a really good lead(reason it is in the top 10) as it sets up Stealth Rock for me while preventing the opponent from setting up or making me asleep thanks to Taunt. Explosion is just a last resort to blow up in front of other pokemon taking it out from the battle while self-sacrificing it. Fire Blast is for coverage to damage other leads.
@ Leftovers
Nature:-Timid
EV's:-HP 252/ 176 Spe/ 80 Def
Ability:- Pressure
Moveset:-Substitute
Roost
Thunderbolt
Toxic
What it does for the team:
Ahh... the SubRoost Zapdos. This thing is definetly deadly and really hard as shit to break through when used properly. It's a very simple strategy, come in on something that you know cant do shit to you, Sub-up, use Roost if you want to heal or Sub again if you know he can break your sub, and watch him go to heaven when when he is dieing of poison or kill him with T-bolt. Heat wave is there to destroy Breloom, Lucario, Scizor. The EV's were suggested by Franky and were helpful as they helped me outspeed Jolly Gyarados, Jolly Lucario and Jolly Breloom.
@Leftovers
Nature:-Timid
EV's:-252 HP/ 168 Def/ 88 Spe (Need help for this set)
Ability:- Levitate
Moveset:-Thunder Bolt
Overheat
HP-Ground
Reflect
What it does for the team:
Rotom-H is seriously a great pokemon man... It helps counter so many pokemon which are a threat to this team. So you can say that it is a strong bond to this team. It helps me serve as a Spin-Blocker. Thunder Bolt is for STAB while Overheat is to finish of pokemon like Scizor and Lucario while HP-Ground helps me get some surprise damage on quite a few pokemon expecting HP-Fighting while Reflect helps me sponge up physical hits better
@Choice Band
Ability:-Snow Cloak
EV's:-252 Att/ 252 Spe/ 4 Def
Nature:-Adamant
Moveset:-Ice Shard
Superpower
Earthquake
Stone Edge
What it does for the team:
This Mamoswine is what I call a power-revenger. It helps me revenge Salamance with its awesome priority move also known as Ice Shard. Mamoswine has this really cool ability of being both resistant to Hail and Sandstorm so it really doesnt care about the weather. Superpower,Earth quake and Stone Edge provide great coverage while Ice Shard is Priority and it helps me finish many Dragons.
@ Life Orb
Ability:- Levitate
EV's:-252 Sp Att/ 252 Spe/ 4 Sp. Def
Nature:- Timid
Moveset:- Draco Meteor
Surf
Recover
Thunder Bolt
What it does for the team:
This Latias is really good for my team as it helps me serve as a counter to Infernape and other fire types in general. Thunder Bolt and Surf provide me great power and variety to use attacks to destroy other pokemon. Draco Meteor is fired of by her from a 210 Base Attack after STAB which is amazingly powerful. It also attracts Blissey which then i change to Aggron and set-up. Recover also provides me with a reliable recovery move.
@ Liechi Berry
Ability:- Rock Head
EV's:- 4 HP/ 252 Att/ 252 Spe
Nature:- Adamant
Moveset:-Rock Polish
Substitute
Earthquake
Head Smash
What it does for the team:
This guy is a complete beast when used correctly. Aggron has been gifted with an awesome move call Head Smash thanks to HGSS and I plan to use it to full potential. It generally comes out on a choiced pokemon attack which it restists, Sub's then uses Rock Polish which makes it reach a devastating 394 Speed which ties with max speed Jolly Aerodactyl!! Head Smash also doesnt do any recoil thanks to Rock Head and fires off a really powerful 350 Att before a Liechi boost and then starts frying pokemon with Head Smash.
