bronzong.png

Bronzong @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/86 Atk/80 Def/92 SDef
Sassy nature (+SDef, -Spd)
- Stealth Rock
- Gyro Ball
- Earthquake
- Hypnosis
---
Bronzong is really useful. I usually go for the hypnosis and then stealth rock but it doesn't always work out. A lot of times I have to switch out because of the threat of a spore from Smeargle or because I get taunted. The thing is usually I find plenty of opportunities to switch back in and go for the hypnosis and stealth rocks. Bronzong does a good job of punishing frail sweepers with STAB gyro ball and earthquake. Many times I can come in and use hypnosis against a threatening pokemon to save the rest of my team. Bronzong is a very much expendable pokemon but usually he has quite good longevity and I can use him throughout half the game.

celebi.png

Celebi @ Life Orb
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 36 Def/220 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Recover
- Leaf Storm
- Earth Power
- Hidden Power [Fire]
---
Very simple Celebi. Just come in and start unleashing fury with three attacks and recover for longevity. Leaf storm hits very hard with life orb while hidden power [fire] deals with Scizor and other steel types. The biggest drawback is how helpless I am against Heatran so earth power might be considerable over something like psychic. Celebi is pretty bulky and has decent attack and okay coverage.

Psychic replaced with earth power mainly for Heatran and because psychic wasn't too useful.

suicune.png

Suicune @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/4 Spd
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Surf
- Calm Mind
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
---
This thing wins plenty of games. My team doesn't focus on removing the counters for this set but rather just focuses on functioning as a solid team and with that said this thing often gets an opportunity to come in and seal the deal. This functions as a great status and sleep absorber. Obviously calm mind to boost special defense while my natural defense is very high. Few things can stop this set especially after a calm mind on a switch. This is the VIP of the team. By the time the opponent is down to 4 or 3 pokemon this thing can often just come in and win straight away. Other than that it's a great pokemon to switch to defensively.

latias.png

Latias (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Dragon Pulse
- Surf
- Recover
---
An offensive calm mind Latias. Has difficulties against Scizor so it's very important that I don't send it in until the opponent's Scizor is weakened some. I was tempted to put hidden power [fire] on it but recover just seems a lot more balanced and hopefully I can play around the pursuit weakness. Great pokemon to go to to absorb elemental attacks from special attackers and then start setting up. Empoleon is the only pokemon that resists both attacks.

ArkeisMetagross.png

Metagross @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 28 HP/252 Atk/228 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Meteor Mash
- Earthquake
- Thunderpunch
- Explosion
---
Scarf Metagross has now replaced scarf Jirachi. In testing I felt it had a little less utility but definitely more threatening attack options with more power behind them. I'm happy with this replacement as it serves the original role of taking out threats while packing a lot more dynamite to my team. Explosion is especially a nice addition giving me the possibility of revenge killing pokemon that have been setting up too much on me.

dugtrio.png

Dugtrio (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Arena Trap
EVs: 40 HP/252 Atk/216 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Sucker Punch
- Aerial Ace
---
Dugtrio is pretty cool I think. He can take out Blissey as soon as I scout for ice beam or know one isn't coming. He can also come in on a lot of other pokemon and take them out and sometimes even sweep the rest of a team if the opponent doesn't have anything faster or immune to earthquake left. Mainly I found Dugtrio necessary because Blissey walls my entire team without him.
---

So that's the team. It's doing pretty good so far I find it very tasteful in terms of offense but very solid and resilient. Advice would be appreciated.

I suggest changing Phsyic to Earth Power on Celebi as Physic does not give much of coverae on the OU Metagame as most is part steel, and what is not part steel, its neutral to it, while many of the grounded steels, like lucario, metagross and empoleon take huge amounts of damage, of course, with Heatran 4x weakness to Earth power its a clean KO. Also Earth power helps you with TTar if it comes on celebi...

By the way, I also use crocune that way...my team is based on another sweeper, and i had a free slot..so i said...Lets try crocune, and he has 5-0 and 6-0 sometimes, the only thing that is a pity, is when you are at +6SpA and SpD sleep talk starts choosing calm mind instead of surf..that gotta piss...

I agree I didn't find psychic useful at all really. I changed it. For Tyranitar there is leaf storm which I have to be careful using.

If you think Jirachi is too weak, then maybe you should go for a Choice Scarf Metagross. It certainly has the power your looking for, although it isn't as speedy.

Metagross @ Choice Scarf
Jolly-24HP/252 Atk/232 Spe
-Meteor Mash-Earthquake-Thunder Punch-Explosion

The EVs allow Metagross to outspeed all base 125s too bad it can't do 130 as it misses out by 1 point). Gyarados still shouldn't be that bad though. Metagross has monsterous defence and can take it out with T-punch. Explosion is good for when metagross is at low HP. Meteor Mash is great STAB and the attack boost it brings always helps. Earthquake hits a bunch of crap so no need to explain there. Also, this metagross can outspeed opposing choice scarf metagrosses (just a little something extra).

Hope I helped.

I question The usefulness of dugtrio, maybe because i use ice beam blissey. You seem kinda screwed if you face a Blissey with ice beam. In keeping with bulky special offense, you could replace Dugtrio with

Mismagius @ Leftovers
Timid 252Spe/ 252 SpAtk/ 4 hp
-Calm Mind-Shadowball-HP Fighting-Substitue/taunt

This pokemon not only beats blissey, but sets up for a sweep on it. It also keeps with your theme of bulky special offense.

Wow I bet that thing is powerful. I'll give it a try the extra defense does compensate a lot for the speed drop. Thanks for the suggestion; Metagross is a beast I love him.

Blissey is a 2HKO with ice beam against Dugtrio and I always scout for ice attacks. If they have a Blissey on their team it's pretty much good as dead. I'll consider using that set it looks pretty nice I just hope it doesn't die when I need it most. Hidden power [fighting] for Tyranitar, calm mind for Blissey, and if they switch in Scizor I have the substitute to save me. Still it seems like it might not be as fool proof as Dugtrio.

Most Blissey Carry Seismic Toss as a damaging move, so i fail to see why he should change, failing to revenge kill like 2 out of 10 blisseys is NOT a problem, also, if worse comes to worse, he can pressure stall with Cune

Alot of blisseys actually carry two damaging moves, and while flamethrower is now more likely than ice beam, Mismagius does more than just kill Blissey. He could stall with cune, but dugtrio doesnt do much other than kill blissey, which is what makes it inferior in my opinion.

I never really saw what was so bad about Dugtrio. He can often sweep a team if they don't have any ground immunities or faster/priority pokemon. He can also usually get one revenge kill throughout the game and come back to do a little bit of suicide damage. Plus my team is really good at switching so Dugtrio isn't so much of a problem in that regard.

Anyways I updated the team. I'm not positive if I made the right decision by not putting in Mismagius but I was never really disappointed with the performance of Dugtrio while Mismagius did cost me at least that one game. You know I might even change it back because the only reason I really lost was damn Latias coming in and ruining everything for Suicune. I don't know.
