Team At A Glance

Smeargle @ Salac Berry
Ability: Own Tempo
EVs: 96 HP / 120 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature (+spe, -SpA)
- Belly Drum
- Substitute
- Spore
- Baton Pass
I had an Ingrain/Mean Look passer, but found out it had a weakness to fast attacking leads that don't set up. So I just switched to a simpler more reliable set for Smeargle. I spore, substitute, Belly Drum, and keep substituting if I didn't get the Salac Berry boost yet. Then I pass to Dragonite if I still have sub up and sweep.
Fighting moves directed to Drifblim
Zapdos @ Leftovers/Lum Berry
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 84 Def / 6 Spe / 168 SpD
Timid Nature (+Spe, -Atk)
- Agility
- Baton Pass
- Substitute
- Thunderbolt
He can switch in on Earthquake easily, and use agility while the Choiced EQ switches out. Zapdos needs to be kept alive for Agility, so Dragonite does not get outsped. Thunderbolt hurts with 125 base SpA, even with no EVs in it. He stops those menacing Taunt users with his own Taunt if he can use Agility while they're asleep from Spore.
Ice moves directed to Vaporeon
Rock Moves directed to Vaporeon
Vaporeon @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 128 HP / 252 Def / 124 Spe
Calm Nature (+SpD, -Atk)
- Acid Armor
- Substitute
- Surf
- Baton Pass
This guy is one hell of an important pokemon because of the Water/Ice resist. I noticed that when I get Vaporeon out, the opponent will usually switch out to an Electric pokemon, so you get an Acid Armor in with the free turn, and you can pass to Gliscor when they try to revenge kill. The bulk allows him to take as many hits as possible since you'll be switching to him a lot with all the ice attacks.
Electric moves directed to Gliscor.
Gliscor @ Yache Berry
Ability: Hyper Cutter
EVs: 252 HP / 100 Def / 158 Spe
Impish Nature (+Def, -SpA)
- Earthquake
- Swords Dance
- Taunt
- Baton Pass
My sword dancer. Keep this guy alive if you want to win. Taunt pokemon with Roar/Whirlwind, and Swords dance while you get a free turn. Then pass to Vaporeon for the Ice attack, or to Dragonite if you have Sub up. Ever since everyone started to carry Bolt-Beam, he easily avoids Thunderbolt with his Ground type, and can pass to Vaporeon if you see the Ice Beam coming.
Ice moves directed to Vaporeon.
Water moves also directed to Vaporeon.
Dragonite @ Lum Berry
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SpA)
- Earthquake
- Outrage
- Fire Punch
- Aqua Tail
The final receiver, he can easily switch in with Sub up, and revenge kill. You can then continue to sweep. With Lum Berry, you can Outrage without worrying about that confusion. I changed the moveset for better coverage. I'm thinking about switching this guy for Metagross.
Rotom-h @ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature (+SpA, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Shadow Ball
- HP Ground
- Overheat
The team really needed a SpA, and Rotom gets the job done. He can take Explosions like Drifblim, and Fighting moves for Smeargle. He can switch in on leads that are Spored, and get that free turn to revenge something, or even sweep a team. I would've put Choice Scarf on this guy, but you don't really need it if you can get the Agility from Zapdos. I'm thinking if I should switch Choice Specs with Life Orb so I can switch moves.
Ghost moves directed to Smeargle
How it was made
With the Mean Look/Baton Pass combination, I couldn't keep him off the team, since I need to trap a lead so I can set up.
I added Zapdos because I need a bulky, reliable, Agilipasser. So here he is. He also resists EQ, which so many leads have now.
I wanted a bulky pokemon that could pass on defense, and had an Ice resistant, and Vaporeon did the job just right.
The main idea I had in my mind was to have a Swords Dance team, and what better pokemon to do it than Gliscor? With Taunt at his disposal, I just had to put him on the team.
After picking out my passers, I had to pick out a final receiver, my sweeper. I always liked Dragonite, and his 134 Base Atk is amazing. Along with a great movepool, he became my sweeper.
I had Metagross as another sweeper, but that was too much, so I had Drifblim replace him. Also being an Explosion absorber, which many leads have now, is a good thing to add to my team so Explosion can't kill off a passer.
Rotom can absorb Explosions too, and hit back with pretty hard. He also covers a lot of my teams' weaknesses.
The End. (:
