First UU RMT

Team Phaze1

While never really being a big fan of standard, I quickly took a liking to the UU and NU tiers. When looking through rmt’s I found imperfectlucks. ?wtfruit? rmt amd I decided to make a UU stall team. I decided to post this team as it is my first ever effective stall team. The team is based around the Forretress/Rotom-H/Blissey combo, UU STYLE! My support pokemon are all good at stalling, phasing, and other things, eventually weakening the team enough to KO several pokes with entry hazards, and usually allowing Raikou to clean up. It does have its problems though, which is where you guys come in. I'd like any tips and suggestions on what to remove/add to make the team better.

Steelix@Leftovers
Nature:Sassy
Ability:Sturdy
Evs:252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Sp Def
-Stealth Rock
-Earthquake
-Rock Blast
-Roar
Well, I knew I wanted a lead that could beat Ambipom, Frosslass, and Set up SR.
Steelix can do all of this AND phase. It was just the lead I needed. Stealth Rock is obvious, Roar is to phase and scout the team as well as building up entry hazard damage at the beginning and in the middle of a match. Earthquake to beat Steels and Poisons. Rock Blast to destroy Frosslass leads thinking they can set up on me. Sometimes the Frosslass will taunt which means no spikes for them =D

I will say what I do vs top five leads now:
Ambipom: Take Fake out, Set up SR, then either attack or switch, depending on what they U-Turn too.
Uxie: Usually just set up SR then switch to Cloyster and set up on it.
Frosslass: Rock Blast for the kill.
Moltres: Switch to Chansey knowing it will OHKO me
Arcanine: Again, switch to Chansey as it will 2HKO

Cloyster@Leftovers
Nature:Careful
Ability:Shell Armor
Ev's:252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpDef
-Spikes
-Toxic Spikes
-Payback
-Rapid Spin
I was looking for a UU Forretress. I looked through all the things that got T Spikes. I originally had Nidoqueen, but then I found out it didn’t have Spikes. I tried Omastar, but it just failed. Then I tried this guy, and boy is he pwnage. Spikes and T Spikes are obvious for a UU Forretress, Rapid Spin to Spin Hazards, and Payback to beat Ghosts on the switch in. EVs are from Ipl’s Forretress, and they have proven to be effective.

Chansey@Leftovers
Nature:Bold
Ability:Natural Cure
Ev's:152 HP / 252 Def / 104 SpDef
-Seismic Toss
-Protect
-Toxic
-Wish
It was at this point that i need a specially defensive wall. One to pass wishes around my team, and toxistall, so I went with Chansey. Chansey makes a great switch into any SpAtkers. Seismic Toss for damage, Toxic to Stall and poison flyers and levitators I can’t poison with T Spikes, Protect for conjunction with Wish, and to help Toxistall.

Rotom_in_ACTION_by_Satarii.png

Rotom@Leftovers
Nature:Bold
Ability:Levitate
Ev's:248 HP/242 Def/20 SpDef
-Thunderbolt
-Rest
-Sleep Talk
-Will-o-Wisp
This is the UU Rotom-H, taking a more defensive approach from the usual trickscarf on a Pokemon widely used for its Speed and Sp Atk. This guy is a very good wall, and status inflicter, with Will-o-Wisp. He also stalls with Resttalk, making the enemy get quite angry, quite quickly. Thunderbolt is for STAB, WoW is for extra status, if I fail to set up Toxic Spikes. Rest and Sleep Talk are for survivability, this is my main status absorber.

Lord_of_Thunder___Raikou_by_DarkFeather.jpg

Raikou@Leftovers
Nature: Bold
Ability: Pressure
Ev's: 252 HP/252 Def/4 Sp Atk
-Calm Mind
-Thunderbolt
-Hidden Power [Ice]
-Roar
Since this team is based off my OU Stall team (although I might not of mentioned it until now) I needed a UU Suicine. I first looked at pokemon who’s stats were similar to Suicine. I found Raikou, the UU pokemon more broken then Gallade. I roar to build up damage, and CM whenever I get the chance to (Like when facing a Calm Mind Clefable or some other Sp Atker. Calm Mind is to boost both Sp Atk and Sp Def, Thunderbolt for STAB, and works well with Calm Mind, Hidden Power Ice for coverage, and the best thing it can get with its lack of Ice Beam (unlike Suicine). Roar is to build up damage just like all the other phazers on this team.

Drapion@Leftovers
Nature: Careful
Ability:Battle Armor
Ev's: 252 HP/244 Def/12 Atk
-Crunch
-Whirlwind/Earthquake
-Rest
-Sleep Talk
Thanks to Delko for suggesting this, I tried this over what once was Resttalk Weezing. Having found that Drapion actually suited my team better.
Beating Mismaguis, and Cresselia, which once destroyed my team. This has been awesome for me.
Crunch for STAB, Earthquake with coverage or Whirlwind for Phazing Rest for Healing and Sleep Talk so im not fodder while im asleep.

:toast:Threat list below:toast:

Black means not troublesome at all.
Orange means it'll cause some mild problems.
Red means something is going down, maybe the whole team.

Ambipom- Rotom, Steelix, and Cloyster sets up on it.

Kadabra- Chansey.

Aggron- Most of my pokes are 2HKOd, all I can do is phazr it with Raikou/Steelix. If it has no Rock Polish up, I can burn it with Rotom, and Steelix can 2HKO with Earthquake before it 2HKOs with Low Kick.

Altaria- Steelix can survive a +3 Earthquake if its Dragon Dance xD SpAtk sets are handled by Chansey, takes a ton of Stealth Rock damage though, not really a problem.

Absol- Steelix

Arcanine- Drapion is my only real counter, other then that im dead.

Azumarill- Raikou, Rotom, Cloyster sets up on it

Blastoise- Same as Azumarill (The one above for those of you who don’t know).

Blaziken- Raikou, revenge kills, nothing can switch in though

Chansey- Steelix walls, takes a lot from Toxic Spikes wearing it down too.

Clefable- See Chansey

Cresselia- Now that I have Drapion, it is much less of a threat.

Claydol- Rotom. It can take Sleep, Burn with Will-o-Wisp, and take Rapid Spins.

Cloyster- Rotom.

Donphan- Rotom. It can burn with Will-o-Wisp, and take rapid spins, along with
weak Ice Shards.

Drapion- Steelix isn’t 2HKOd by a +2 Earthquake and can Earthquake it for a 2HKO or Roar it out.

Dugtrio- Rotom. Not threatening at all lol.

Feraligatr- Cloyster and Raikou

Frosslass- This is why I used Rock Blast Steelix. >.>

Hariyama- Drapion

Hitmontop- Rotom, if its some weird one without Rapid Spin then Steelix.

Houndoom- Chansey ToxiStalls.

Kabutops- Raikou and Rotom

Lanturn- Chansey, if it has no Surf then Steelix says hi.

Leafeon- Weezing. I can phaze it out too.

Ludicolo- Chansey. It can also stall out the rain. Has to be careful of Leech Seed though.

Milotic- Rotom and Raikou, Chansey ToxiStalls.

Mismaguis- Raikou phazes, Chansey beats non-sub versions with Toxic. Drapion now beats it too.

Moltres- Chansey.

Nidoking- Rotom Burns, everything on my team can take a burned Nidoking. The T Spikes pick-up sucks though

Nidoqueen- Read above (Nidoking).

Omanyte- Same as Ludicolo. Chansey, It can also stall out the rain.

Poliwrath- Raikou and Rotom, nobody likes they’re Poliwrath burned.

Porygon-Z- Chansey. If locked into Tri Attack then Rotom. This is the second member of the trio of broken UUs

Raikou- Raikou, Remember Cress and Pory-Z? This is the last member, have to hope they don’t expect Roaring Raikou so I can phaze it out.

Regirock- Steelix and Burning Rotom. Threatening in sandstorm though xD

Registeel- Same as Regirock above.

Rhyperior- Rotom Burns, Steelix phazes.

Rotom- Steelix and Raikou phaze, Raikou can also set up Calm Minds on it.

Sceptile- Chansey.

Scyther- Steelix probably. Haven't seen one yet.

Slowbro- Rotom and Raikou

Spiritomb- Raikou sets up on it while phazing its calm minds, non rest versions get deaded by T Spikes.

Steelix- Rotom

Swellow- Rotom and Raikou, that’s about it >.<

Tangrowth- Rotom

Torterra- Rotom and Raikou revenges non +2 speed ones.

Toxicroak- Steelix

Umbreon- Easily phazed by Steelix and Raikou.

Uxie- Set up on by Cloyster and Steelix. When needed I Toxic with Chansey.

Venusaur- Drapion.

Weezing- Rotom burns, Raikou sets up on it.

hello

This looks like a solid team and I really like the Steelix lead ^^.
Anyway for my rate, I would like to suggest a Careful nature on Steelix instead of te Sassy one you are currently using. You have no special moves or Gyro Ball so the low speed is redundant. Although an Adamant nature could fit here well so Rock Blast could OHKO even the bulkiest of Froslass leads should you only get two hits.

If find it quite disturbing that a stall as your own doesn't have a status healer on the team. This could be solved by giving Chansey Aromatherapy over Protect. If you do this you might also want to change Wish to Softboiled, but this is not really needed as with Wish, Chansey can support the team even better. Oh, and for the record why do you think that Raikou could cause you any trouble when you have Chansey on your team. If Chansey is dead you also have Steelix who is also a great counter against Raikou as the best Raikou can do is Hidden Power (water) which isn't that common.

You could go with Discharge over Thunderbolt on Rotom. This means you could have a 20% more chance to paralyse an opponent and with no SAtk EV's the loss in power doesn't really matter.

I also noticed that you have a problem with Cresselia, Mismagius and other Psychic type pokemon so I think that your team could really need the help of a dark type pokemon. So mu suggestion is using Drapion over Weezing (typewise the best replacement). Drapion could also absorb Toxic Spikes for the team. Don't worry about the fighting weakness as you still have Rotom who could burn them so their Dark type moves aren't as powerfull anymore. I think to only problem you could get with this is that Guts Hariyama would be much more dangerous but he is less uncommon then Cresselia and Mismagius, no?

i_drapion.gif

Drapion @ leftovers/ careful/ battle armor
252 HP / 12 Atk / 244 SpD

- Crunch
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Earthquake/ Whirlwind

--> CroCress only has Psychic as her attack move, the others are Rest, Sleep Talk and Calm Mind. So she can do nothing against this thing. Mismagius could only deal about 20% with Thunderbolt or Hidden Power (fighting) and you can scare it away with a powerfull STAB'ed Crunch. Since Weezing was a Rest-talker, Drapion could be a fine replacement indeed. With Rest you can get rid of received status and taken damage and With Sleep Talk your not just some set-up bait. The last moveslot is your choice, Whirlwind can be used for more phazing but since you already have Steelix to do that Earthquake makes a nice replacement and gives great coverage together with Crunch.

If you make Raikou Timid and move the Def EV's to Spe he can outspeed Blaziken and KO it with Thunderbolt (although it must be at 70% or lower).

Hope this helped!

Just a slight nitpick, but Rock Blast with your EVs doesn't KO Froslass the standard Froslass lead.
And even with 252 Atk and Adamant, it will only KO if Rock Blast hits 4 times or more.

I have tested the Drapion set and it works great, And since I realised Rock Blast didn't OHKO, I am currently thinking about Donphan, trading bulk for priority.

If I do it will be: Roar/Ice Shard/Stealth Rock/Stone Edge?

I cannot guarantee a KO with Earthquake and Ice Shard. Maybe Earthquake>Roar anyway? If I do then I will use Whirlwind on Drapion.

Anyways, more rates plx.

Hello again

If I do it will be: Roar/Ice Shard/Stealth Rock/Stone Edge?

If this is meant for Froslass leads you will loose anyway since Froslass carry Ice Beam which is a OHKO on Donphan without max bulk (since you wanted power I assume it isn't max bulk). But If you want a powerhouse in the lead, you could go with Rhyperior (same moveset as Steelix, Adamant nature and an EV's spread of 136 HP / 244 Atk / 128 Spe and of course with the ability Solid Rock). Rhyperior has more strenght then Steelix so Rock Blast will do something against Froslass leads.

Hope this helped!

EDIT: You could go with Megahorn over Roar on Rhyperior's moveset.
