Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Yeah, any time from the seed to time part of the RNG Reporter. Put the seed in it's text box, and have the year so that the delay needed is 630. Then just click generate, and look for one with your average seconds (14). The you just need to hit the delay and advance the frame and you'll get it :)

Ok but i have tried this with seconds as 14 several times and still nothing

I'm trying to calibrate, but the rng program gives me this message: No reasonable initial seed found, check your date and time'.

I have calibrated before but never got this message. I am completely sure that my date matches as well as my hour, but I am not sure about my minute: I need to input the minute the ds is at when I hit soft reset, right?

I always soft reset exactly when the minute on my clock (synched with my DS) hits. I am sure I input the stats correctly.

What exactly happens if I change the year in my DS? and will anything change when I change the month? Because I can't find a flawless spread with one parent (parent a) having perfect ivs, the other having 31's in HP and Speed, in 2010, (at least, without an odd delay) but there is one in 2009. I'm not sure if this will change my frame though, or something else.

No, it means the minute you get when you hit continue. So if you hit continue at 4:30:01, it will count the minute 4:30, not 4:29. Not sure if it helps.

You need to input the minute you pressed 'continue' on the menu screen. Although even if you are off by a minute or two it will only change the seconds that you got, that same seed should still appear....

No all it will do is change your target delay by 1

^Ok, Thanks. I assume you mean going back a year means the delay goes back 1, and forward a year makes it go forward one, right?

The opposite actually lol, if your delay is 600 in 2010, in 2009 it will be 601, its why you see some pokemon with dates like 2075, some people find it easier to use a year which lowers the target delay into calibrated button mashing range

So I've RNG'ed for a shiny.. and I saved in front of the day care man... now if i bike with it and keep biking until I am like 5-10 steps away from the hatching step... and then save. Will I have the hatched pokemon Shiny?

Be more specific, what do you mean by "nothing". Are you RNGing in Platinum? If so, make sure that the journal comes out as soon as you start the game because there are NPCs in all the markets. You can't really check your delay with the taps before doing the advancement. You have to do the journal flips first, then collect your Wondercard poke and then check your seed with the coin flips. If you hit your seed, then the stats from your poke should be the desired spread unless you messed up your journal flips or the NPC moved after the journal flips

Ok
First no im trying on diamond
Second i did every flip properly tried about 10 times
Third i saved it as soon as the NPC moved so that its easier and there is only one NPC.

Ok my time is 15:57:14 i started my stop watch and changed it at the same time which was 15:56:00
Then it get turned of on the game and start it then wait till the stop watch reaches 1 minute then restart the game 14 seconds is my calebration face seconds
Then mashed A till i pressed continue then the journal popped up did the flips and then exited and pressed a on the on the guy at the Pokemart and then finally collected the pokemon before the NPC could moved but still nothing happened i didnt get the ivs i was aiming for.

Ok:

1) If you are doing it in Diamond, there are NPC free markets. Right there that's gonna make your life easier.

2) Have you done your calculations right? Remember that Wondercard pokes have a Frame of 1 so if you are aiming on an even frame spread then you have to rely on the NPC to get the right frame advancement (unless you have an odd number of roamers).

3) Finally, if you are doing the old school RNG (mashing) then it's gonna be easier if you just hit A on the DS screen to start the game at 15:57:00, just watch your outside clock and start the game at any minute with 0 seconds. You minimize the chance of error.

As a combination of 1) and 2), you can advance to an even frame by taking 128 steps. 128 steps advances RNG by the number of pokes in your party. So if you have an odd number of pokes, the frame goes even.

So I've RNG'ed for a shiny.. and I saved in front of the day care man... now if i bike with it and keep biking until I am like 5-10 steps away from the hatching step... and then save. Will I have the hatched pokemon Shiny?

Hey, could you please tell me so I can get to hatching it!? ^^^

Thanks

Don't save while you have the egg (unless you aren't going for IVs). If you correctly RNGed the PID (controls shininess, nature, ability, and gender) then it doesn't matter when you save. As soon as the egg is generated (as in before you even take it from the old man) it will always hatch shiny for you.

When RNG breeding the closer the parents are to the final Pokemon I want the better, right? Like if I'm breeding Lucarios I want a parent, ideally, with a 31 ATK and one with a 31 Speed. However, is this mandatory?

Anyone knows how much would the frame advance if I had on max repel a walk 1 step?

It will be advanced by 1...
But if you want to advance it by 1 I would reccommend turning once, because you could possible get a random advancement from taking a step or go past the 128 step counter.

Hi, i've read the part where you need to soft reset for the ivs at the last part when you take the egg and it hatches. I was thinking, will it still be possible to check the ivs without an AR? is rare candying up to level 50 the only way to check the ivs?

Hey, I use the reporter and have great results, my one problem/question is that I know how to make a shiny egg hatch, but what options do I use in order to RNG the IVs as well as the shiny factor?

DPPt time finder on egg ivs section and if you want, Dppt breeding on the main dropdown

yes its very possible. search pokemon stat calculator on google, go to the psypoke link, if youve calibrated, you should know around what frame your pokemon is on so plug in those ivs and the ones of the frames one above and below it. if the stat is the same for all, then add a few evs, which you can add with vitamins and delete with berries. once you find a stat that only the frame your shooting for can get, ev(if you have to) with vitamins. check ur pokemons stats. if it is not what the calculator says, then you missed the frame and should sr. if it is what the stat calculator says, then you would want to save.

alternatively(although I recommend you do both), you can go to that guy in the upper right hand corner of the battle tower and tell him to judge the pokemon you just bred. for each stat he says is flawless and can't be better in that regard(i think that's what he says), than that stat is 31.

to find one quick stat, you can look at the pokemons summary where it gives a description of the pokemon. it should say something like Proud of its Power(which means 31, 26, 21, 16, 11, 6, 1 attack). lets say it said that it was Proud of its Power. you look at your calibrated frame(assuming you know you hit your delay), and see that the frames above and below it do not have perfect attack ivs. i would save it here because you know that your pokemon has perfect attack and you know that no nearby frame has a perfect attack other than the one you are aiming for.

its hard to understand because i suck at explaining it, but it works wonders if it is possible to use. if you understand how to use any of these, use them. i recommend the stat calculator and the summary page because they are the quickest, but if you are really unsure, you can go to the iv man in the battle tower. most importantly, this can all be done without leveling up the bred pokemon

I read all of that and from what I have tried, I can not combine the two to get a perfect shiny. Could you maybe expand upon which part I should be looking at?

to breed, just go to shiny egg finder tab in the Dppt time finder. if you know you're sid then its a piece of cake. look at the first page part 6. it gives a tutorial on this that i believe should answer your questions. if it doesn't, then can you be more specific as to what you don't understand.

Quick question, when I breed a shiny by abusing the RGN and trade the egg to someone else it will still hatch shiny, correct?

no unless you bred it using their ID/SID if not then it won't be shiny when it hatches on their game

That's so odd. When I traded a shiny egg to my platinum it still hatched shiny. Wonder what got messed up there... If anyone knows why that might happen I'm kinda confused.
Thanks for the quick response.

It hatches shiny. But once you check it's status, you'll see it's not shiny anymore.
