Blinded by the...Pig?! NU/UU

Grumpig/Headbang - Anti Lead
Expert Belt/Life Orb
Thick Fat
Modest

Evs -

HP - 140
Def - 100
Sp. A - 252
Dp. D - 16

Magic Coat
Psychic
Signal Beam
Thunder Wave

Ahh, my anti-lead! I have this little piggy here to stop most of the common status leads. Signal beam for the Darks and the ones that resist psychic. I chose Grumpig, as it has a better all around stopping lead, and more of a move set against statuses, which normally wreck this team. Otherwise, would have had Hypno.

Donphan/Rocko - Rapid Rocks
Leftovers
Adamant

Evs -

HP - 52
Atk - 252
Def - 204

Rapidspin
Earthquake
Assurance
Stealth Rock

The rapid rocker! Primarily a nuisance, I've done abit of good team wise. A layer of rocks, and E-quake till something hits him hard, then switch. Assurance for coverage. The best rapid spinner and rocker in UU that I know of. Can often trick out pokemon that think they can't be affected by this little bird..err, awesome thing.

Leafeon/Twigs - Swords Dance Sweeper
Life Orb
Jolly

Evs-

Atk - 252
Def - 4
Spe - 252

Swords Dance
Leaf Blade
Return
Quick Attack

Ahh! My little blade of doom! Haha, she's wrecked over people thinking they can own my little baby. Ie, baton pass version. They get a shock when it stays to attack instead. Quick Attack to try and get a jump on the weaker ones I can't outspeed after a solid hit. She has a rough time with steel types, but plus 4 Leaf blade hurts hard.

Houndoom/Angst - Nasty Plot Sweeper
Flash Fire
Life Orb
Timid

Evs -

Hp - 4
Sp. A - 252
Spe - 252

Nasty Plot
Fire Blast
Dark Pulse
Hidden Power : Flying

The Special Version of my Twigs. Doesn't get out that often, but hits pretty hard if I can pull it right. Which is 50/50. Has swept plenty, and only has a tough time against rocks. Has survived two Milotic surfs, built towards Sp. Atk. So can take a decent water hit.

354.png

Bannette/Spook - Support
Frisk
Focus Sash
Adamant

Hp - 252
Atk - 252
Spe - 4

Shadow Sneak
Knock Off
Will O Wisp
Destiny Bond

Spook jumps others bones, letting me know what items they have and knocking their items off. Destiny Bond as a last ditch move. Otherwise tries to widdle down and stop explosions.

Stantler/NotTauros - FFFF (Annoyer)
Intimidate
Leftovers or Focus Sash (if in Uu or Ou)
Adamant

Evs-

Hp - 252
Atk - 252
Spe - 4

Thunder Wave
Confuse Ray
Stomp
Bite (OU) or Earthquake (UU)

Stantler. The OTHER Tauros as called by some. (Seriously you guys?) My main annoyer. Was my first base on the team, and tried to pair him up with stuff to match off. As stated above, Bite for OU, and Earthquake for UU. Has a diffucult time against the likes of Hitmon series and Hariyama.

2 of the types of your pokémon take double damage from: water, ice, fighting, bug, rock, dark.

fighting would seem to be a problem if grumpig was wiped out, and a bug that is faster than houndoom could cause trouble.

you also have no dark counter, and a strong dark type could hurt you.

I would recommend maybe a hitmoncham, that might fit with your team?

running fire punch on hitmoncham in this set might help:

hitmoncham @ life orb

agility
close combat
ice punch
fire punch

this set would cover your double type weakness to: ice, bug, rock, and dark, and would fit in with your sweeper based team.

let me know what you think.

Ahhh, yeah I see what you are getting at. I've ran Hitmonchan on other teams, with good results before, so I may do that.

And thanks Bloo.

hitmoncham also has a wide variety of moves that can cover weaknesses, so it is easy to experiment with.
are you battling with "real" pokémon or with a simulator?
that matters a lot, as I would want to say, "change, *radom pokémom's* stats so you will have better coverage" if that would take a while to trade for.
also, post what you have trouble with.
whats your plan when your opponent sends out a resistant phazer?
switch to stantler/banntte or attack?
also, what do you use for suicide leads?
the fact that that was you second post makes me question that it's tested.....

Right now, I'm using this team in the simulator, but I also have it in real life.
Mainly, I've been having trouble with prediction, which I can't fix. lol Just gotta learn as I go.
When I get a resist/uneffective, I usually switch to Banette or Stantler, depending on what is sent out.
And in all the month's I've been using this set, I haven't had enough run in's with suicide leads. Last one I think was the suicide, was Electrode, and I switch to Bannette and took care of it that way. Thinking about switch Shadow Sneak with Claw.
And it may seem that way, but I've been doing this for months, trying to perfect this thing. :/
