Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong in my process of setting up a perfect shiny pokemon egg in Diamond.

-Instead of using what ever current seed I am on and tapping the happiness app over 10,000 times, I am aiming for a specific seed.
-I find a proper seed that matches my ID/SID and has the spread I want of Shiny, Impish, Male, Ability 1
-I generate times for the seed, find one I like, and generate a list of times/delays around it with coinflips to check.
-I have properly calibrated my PikaTimer and keep trying to hit the proper seed, again, using coinflips to check.
-I have 5 pokemon in my party, two of them the parents, no everstones or anything.
-I finally hit the seed with all 10 coinflips matching.
-I do the amount of taps/flips that RNGReporter tells me to (emphasis here ->) THAT ALREADY INCLUDED THE 10 TO CHECK. Right what it says, 6 taps, 8 flips, ("# of taps/flips assume I did 10 flips to check)
-I put parents in the daycare center, hit my AR code to spawn an egg (which I saw BearsFan do in his video), SAVE by the dude, and check the egg to see if it is shiny and correct nature/ability
-It is never shiny and the nature is wrong. I have done this three different times now.

Where did I go wrong? I hit my seed, confirmed my seed, followed directions, have my ID/SID right... and it comes out wrong. I am not miscounting my taps/flips. I am not doing anything with the happiness app open until I do my taps. The only thing I can imagine is that my ditto might be international. Can anyone think of anything it might be beside that? I will work on trying using the international option to see if it is that until I hear anything from you all. Sorry for long post, but I can't think of anything else to do. All the guides/videos assume you just use your current seed and mine always have over 10k taps.

You have 5 Pokemon in your party, you need 6 for it to work, the Happiness/Coin Flip tapps/flips it gives you are calculated assuming you have 6 pokemon in your party so do it with 6 Pokemon and it should work

Be careful about what you do. Don't change up what you do, and try completely new stuff each time. If Detuning it that way X times gives you F 54, then hit your seed again, and detune it maybe... 3 less times, catch him and see what you get. Don't just try different things. Try the same thing several times refining your number of detunes each time. If say 14 detunes gives you frame 54 (just making that up) then try 12 this next time and see how far off you are.
so depending what seed you hit will affect how many frames the radio advances the rng?

Also can i tune into one station, detune then tune into the same station again and it will advance the rng because i've been using two different stations and would prefer to use one.

If you're using the ditto I gave you, then it's 100% Made in the USofA.
Do you have 6 pokemon in your party? The happiness indicator advances by 2 x number of pokemon in party, so it could get thrown off.
Are you doing the number of flips that the Time Finder tells you? Because that is adjusted for 10 check flips, if you're just using the normal RNG advance, it doesn't count the flips.

Edit: Possible Bug with RNG Reporter 7.2b

I believe that RNG Reporter 7.2b has a bug with the Shiny Egg generation for DPPt.

My ID:19558, SID:52032 Seed:3D0302A0
So for a Shiny Adamant, I should use frame 107, or 7 taps and 10 flips. The Time Finder gives me the result of 4 taps and 3 + 10 (calibration) flips. Which would only bring me up to 4+1 * 12 + 3 + 10, frame 73. This wasn't the only seed that it did that in either.

Despite this problem, thanks for the release of this new reporter.

Alright I am in front of Lugia right now. Does Lugia's sprite advance the RNG since its moving? And since I have Entei and Raikou out right now how does that affect the RNG? And I thought that you could synchornize Entei's and Raikou's nature if you see them for the first time. Can you?

1) No.

2) Advances either 1 or 2 frames each, inconsistently. I recommend you faint them first.

3) No.

EDIT: @ pokethan, yes

Ok phew. Do they have the same nature/IV set when they come back? Just wondering If its possible to try to set them after. I really don't need them Im just wondering.

PLEASE READ

I have just updated RNG Reporter 7.20 Beta to fix a bug that caused taps\flips in the Time Finder to be displayed incorrectly, found by Ferrouswheel. Please redownload if you've already downloaded it.

Nope, their nature\IVs are not set until after you beat the E4 and they come back.

ok i just got the exact same ho-oh on the right seed again but i hit frame 54 again, i'm not sure i understand what to do? i detuned after i switched to each station so would that be 53/20, the second time i did 53/21 and still got a frame of 54, what would i do next? i did 21 the second time because after i was finished i moved it back to the center so i guess use the 53/20?
instead of hitting the Bottom left button 11 times and the bottom right button 10 times, this time i hit the bottom left frame 9 times and the bottom right button 8 times and i got a frame of 46. Romsstar was posting before how the game kept skipping his timid hidden power fire frame and i'm starting to wander if its true but not giving up, i don't know what number of frame advancement could've possibly given me 46, i have no runners and ho-oh is frame 1. (9 x 3) +(8 x 2)= 43. (9x3) + (8x1)= 35. (9x4) + (8x1)=44. Am i doing something wrong?

Also, can i switch to one station, detune, then switch to the same station to advance the frames?

I'm assuming you have done the following:

Collected your egg ASAP after starting.
Caught a wild pokémon ASAP after collecting the egg.
Determined the wild pokémon's IV's.
Found your seed via the seed finder button.
Selected the DPPt Breeding option, from the drop down menu at the top left on the RNG reporter.
Used your found seed to generate a list of IV spreads and a corresponding frame.
Hatched your egg somewhere during or after the above.

If you've done that and found which frame your egg iv's were on, now you should make a note of the frame, and repeat. Your egg iv frame will usually vary from frame 1 - 10, I've had it as high as 11 once. Repeating this procedure a few times will help verify which frame you're saved on. This way it will be easier to select which frame you will need to use the journal to hit for your desired IV spread.

Thanks, my frame was 14 so I'm guessing I did something wrong. I'll repeat the process a few more times. Will I expect to get a different frame (like the calibration for the 590-610 numbers) or will it always be 14 (or 15/13 if an NPC moves? After I verify the frame I am saved on, what do I need to do?

does the radio advance the rng depending on what seed you hit because it feels like i've been getting inconsistent results with the radio on different seeds or maybe i'm screwing up.

the bottom right one is ALWAYS consistent... iirc... its ALWAYS 1... are you perhaps leaving it on the station for a longer than a few moments?

EDIT: because if so... it can cause a commercial to come on....and they add like 3 or so to your frame.... to be specific on just how much it advances... ask Romsstar... he explained what results he got....

when i detune yeah, why? i don't think i'm leaving it long enough for a commercial and if the bottom right is always 1, is my bottom left is 4. I just hit the bottom left 9 times and the bottom right 7 and got frame 43 or 41.

Hi, I'm fairly new to PRNG in HGGS. How would I go about trying to RNG a Shiny Cyndaquil as my starter with Rash (or any workable) nature?

are you sure about the commercial? and yeah... the bottom left is different sometimes.... (Romsstar has a list of what he's done so far) and the radio is time dependant....

EDIT: well... to an extent....

if i'm getting inconsistent results should i try aiming for a different time? or if the BR button is always 1 maybe should i try hitting it 43 times? my frame is 44

EDIT: what do you mean to an extent?

I advance it by the bottom right ONLY... it takes longer... but its consistent...

and as for the extent thing... sometimes certain times may or may not give the same result for the other buttons... and it seems that a lot of the time... the amount that they advance stays consistent for a certain amount of hours... like for example (this is not accurate... but it's just me trying to explain myself...) the bottom left advances 3 frames from 12 am.- 3 am. then by 2 at 4 am. then 3 again at 1 pm.... its based on hours and and may or may not have the same results at different times... except for the bottom right which is ALWAYS 1...

i just used the bottom only and got a frame of 49 by hitting it 43 times. Is there a button that only hits 0 because maybe instead of dettunning i could try just hitting the buttons to make sure i'm not wavering back and forth. I probably did something wrong that time though if it got that number.
