Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

hm can anyone help me?after we defeat elite four i think and go back to lake rage , we should treat red gyarados as a chained? and also how should i write down the information?i'm suppose to write down the stats and do it a couple more times to get my SID since its treated like a chained shiny?

does the international button work on the timefinder for finding shiny eggs in HGSS because i've hit my seed twice and still no shiny or the right nature and ability egg. my frame is six and i've saved on the sixth egg. i have an english smeargle and a japanese wooper, thats international right?

I'm having some trouble trying to hatch a shiny Pokemon (I'm not worried about IV's or anything else at the moment, I want to get this part down first). I have caught a natural shiny in my Pearl game, checked its IV's, got my SID and I'm ready to roll.

I read the guide linked to in the first post, and I do everything exactly as it says. However, I have yet to successfully hatch a shiny Pokemon.

I'm not sure where I'm going wrong. I have the game saved at route 229 just above the resort area, in the patch of grass above the two Ace Trainers. Lead Pokemon in my party is level 50, and I have a Super Repel on.

I make note of the time when I hit continue, down to the minute as the guide says. Run around for a second until I encounter a Pokemon, catch it, and input stats into RNG Reporter. I'm sure I'm using the correct tabs (Find Initial Seed by Stats), and the correct method [DPPt Egg PID (Normal)]. The Shiny Only box is checked, and my Trainer ID is correct.

I click generate, and find my taps. Then, I switch over to the Happiness Checker application and start my taps. After I'm done with the Happiness Checker, I immediately begin flipping the coin. After I've finished all of my taps, I fly to Solaceon and put my two parents into the daycare, wait for the egg, and hatch it. It's not shiny.

So, what am I doing wrong? Any help is much appreciated.

EDIT:

I'm also not too clear on this, or if it even matters.

Should my desired parents be a part of my team through the whole process (up until I put them into the daycare, obviously), or should they be waiting in the PC until I fly to Solaceon?

You are going to need the exact IVs, so just writing down the stats probably won't be enough.

Yes it works.

For the last question: It doesn't matter.

For the first, did you go through all of the steps in the guide in the Troubleshooting section?

Is Mewtwo's frame number 1 whenever you fight him? also sorry for the ignorance but is there a guide to how i can advance frames within HH/SS?

How do you find out what frame you are currently at when you start up the game if you CANNOT catch a pokemon to check? if you are resetting for a starter.

If you don't have any roamers out as I recall: yes,

For starter you can only look for Spreads with starting frame 1, 5 or 9 as you can't advance the frame there.

For Seed Verifying later, for time being check out my Sig. New RNG Reporter is on it's way:) (it is isn't it mingot?:P)

Okay so I am trying to abuse for Honey Tree pokémon. I know how to get the correct pokémon to apear in a Honey Tree, I'm just having trouble abusing for it. So I'm assuming you CAN'T change the date to RNG abuse a Honey Tree pokémon? The spread I was to abuse for is at 03:57 on 5/30/2004. I set the time to eight hours before then and abused for the certain pokémon to appear. So when the pokémon finally appears, can I still change the time, but not the date on the DS clock without messing up the Honey Tree pokémon?

well when I did my heracross I changed the time and date once heracross was set on that tree it worked just fine heracross was still there even on the new date.

Maybe I wrote it wrong. I know the frames for the starters are 1, 5 and 9, but dont you need to match up those frames with whatever your game is currently on? Or is it just a time match up? I could have sworn from yesterday(4 hours researching this makes me have a headache LOL) that you need to advance your frames(whatever frame you are currently at) to THOSE numbers(1,5,9 in my case) so my question is how do i know what frame i am on in order to get to 1,5 or 9?

You should have better success if you save in front of the shaking tree before changing the date, IIRC.

No just reset for a seed where you have your target IVs on frame 1,5 or 9 depends on whether starter you want..
There is no need to advance your frame at all.

Think of it like this:

Your Starting Frame is 1.
If you chose Chikorita chosing chikorita will advance your frame +0
If you chose Cyndaquil chosing cyndaquil will advance your frame +4.
If you chose Totodile chosing totodile will advance your frame +8

I always save in front of the shaking tree, it's just last time I tried to do that the Heracross disappeared Q.Q maybe it was because it was in the tree for too long and it disappeared :s

Ohhhhh thank you so much Romsstar, that makes a lot of sense now. I'll check out your sig now to dive deeper into this now. Thanks again, simple and to the point

Edit: whew I found my anwser acutally. Now all I have left is one question; Step 9:
Catch a pokemon and check your seed. You should note that the delay is probably nowhere near what you want it to be. This is because during the white screen, the game was loading, and not counting delay. You will need to adjust the delay you put into emloop as follows:

For example, say I was aiming for a delay of 767 (the number in the red box).
Let's also say the delay I got when I checked my seed was 663.
That's a difference of 104 (767-663=104).
In other words, my game took the equivalent of 104 frames to load.
To adjust, I'd simply add that time to my original delay.
The new number I'd enter into the red box is 871 (767+104=871).

How do I check my delay for my starter if I cant catch pokemon?(need 691)

Hello, welcome to Raikou episode 29338

I hit my delay, but i got frame 519 instead of 432 (-1 monster frame=431). How is that possible? I have 3 badges, didn't complete the league yet.
I do frame advancing like this:
(Sunday) 143 times turn on and off using D-Pad radio station That Town These People, and 2 times Pokemon Music. What am I doing wrong? And is it better to RNG the legendary dogs before League or after?

I'm currently trying for Mewtwo, I have saved right in front of him and know my delay times and frames ect.... the problem i am having is advancing to the correct frame, I read in Omega's post on the first page that 1 step = 2 advancements and a turn = 1. I am in a cave so the radio won't work correct?Although i can use the fone and calling Elm advances 1?
Now i have calculated that because Mewtwo is on Frame 49 that would mean either standing on the stop and turning 48 times and then fighting him?? although doing this is leaving me on higher frames of 55 and higher random frames which is fustrating as i have hit my delay and time several times already. Any help with other methods of advancing the frame would be greatly appreciated as i cannot see any other methods on the first page of information. Thanks
;For notes i have fainted all the roamers.

A few days ago I might've said before League but now I say: After.
Seed Verifying is way easier then.
Check out the Elm Method Guide.
Frame advancement too and you can keep way better track of your frame.

Turning is way too inconsistent. It might have worked in DPPt but in HG/SS a turn can vary from 1-3 and is not safe to use.
Stick to the phone, also because it help you to keep track of your frame (Current Seed Finder)
Check out the Elm Method Guide.

Im trying to find my average delay by catching a pokemon in HG and rare candying it up in Platinum to find its IVs. The seed finder hasn't spit out any results for any of my three trials. I ran around in the grass for trial 1 and sweet scented for trials 2 and 3 if that matters. So does this method of mine not work, do I have to keep trying still, or is there something else wrong? Im pretty sure Im putting in the right date and everything and Im using Metalkid's IV calculator.
