When I say target seconds, I mean the seconds that you got from the Seed to Time function. That's what you're aiming for.

First comment basically said that my margin of error is really small, at +/- 0.09 second.
As for target seconds, since I'm still at the calibrating process for my delay, does it necessary?

Ah. Okay:

Add up the seconds in the green and yellow boxes. That should tell you the seconds you're entering the game time. If it matches more or less one of the seeds that Pandora's Box gave you, you can assume you hit THAT seed.

Thank you very much Omega :D
So, basically, by adding up those seconds together, I can then convert them into delays and be able to check my seed, right?

I've heard 5, but I haven't tested that myself.

@Dragonboy: When you press A to leave the video about the Red Gyrados. Not when you get through the last 3 lines of text in your room, but when it's still in the TV part.

You can advance the frame to re-release a roamer before you enter the E4. If you are re-releasing 1 roamer but still have one or more roaming the roamer you are re-releasing advances the frame by 1.

First you need to aim for a specific seed(check you have hit your seed by using Seed Finder). Then check how many steps you have to take before you advance the frame by walking 128 steps. The easiest way to do this is to stand in a place where there are no NPCs, walk ten steps and check if when you call Elm the frame has advanced by more than one then reset. Record the number of steps, and walk this number of steps 1 step from the entrance of the E4(this is to avoid the inconsistent advancement of walking 128 steps). Then save, and reset for your seed. Once you have hit your seed advance the frame to 2 under your target frame(there is a wandering NPC in the entrance of the E4). You can advance the frame changing the radio station until you are around 30 from your frame and then check you are on the right frame by using Seed Finder by calling Elm. Then battle through the Pokemon League and you should have hit your frame.

Tell me if this is confusing.

I've finally reached Goldenrod after restarting :).
And I'm going to prepare to abuse Sudowoodo, but as I don't have roamers + elm method yet. Do I just hope I hit my seed then advance using radio. Find how much I'm off by then use trial and error?
Are there a lot of NPCs affecting my frame by Sudowoodo?

Or is there something else I can do? :).
My spread appears on frames 2,4,6,8,12,14,18 etc.

EDIT: Also, are all HG/SS pokes that are not legendaries Method K?
Why do I get more frames with my spreads in, in Method K than in Method J? (Just curious)

Hi, I'm trying to hit a seed for a shiny charmander, I have a latias roaming which i used to check my seed, I also checked by calling elm however the seed i'm on is different on each check, It says when I use the latias method that I landed on seed 27050446 however when I checked with the elm method it says 27050445, which one should I use?

Are there a lot of NPCs affecting my frame by Sudowoodo? There are two NPCs on Route 36(South of Sudowoodo) but I dont know if they move

Or is there something else I can do? :).You can check your partner pokemon's responses but that advances the frame by ~50ish

I'm attempting to abuse the ID/SID on SS for the first time. I've found the seed I want to use using the IDFinder, plugged that into Seed-to-Time in the RNGReporter along with my calibrated delay, and started SR-ing. My seed was 550B1262 and my delay was 4696. I managed to hit the delay, but landed on a different seed of 570B1262 with a different trainer ID/SID and 2 seconds less in the Seconds column of IDFinder (I'm not sure what this value is used for). I...did not know this could happen. I was under the assumption that each delay was unique to a seed for a given time/date. What am I missing here/how do I hit the right seed?

well if you missed by two seconds less then add 2 seconds to your timer and adjust accordingly. And no you can have a delay of 4696 on different seeds at different times, each seed has its own specific delay and times not the other other way around

The ID/SID is generated around 3 seconds after you've finished taking to Professor Oak

My current calibration involves 1 min and 20 secs between SR and "I'll see you later." The seconds column is supposed to say 55 and I got 53 (How are these values related to my SR-to-Oak's-message time?). So if I were to "add two seconds to [my] timer," does that mean my new calibration time should be 1 min and 22 secs? Wouldn't that increase my delay?

EDIT: Oi, thanks 7014gree. Gonna try it again.

I think you should deduct 2 seconds, so when the timer goes BING! ;), you press A, then +2 seconds later you're in the game.

I actually abused my ID/SID on HG yesterday, it took me 81 seconds and a delay of 4529, using pika timer, I generated my timer, then just took 2 seconds off my second timer.

That way, it'll take into account the two seconds from when I press A from Oak to get into the game and hit my delay.

What I did was I waited 2 minutes going through all the menus, checked what delay I got and tried to get a shiny spread on that delay - it doesnt need any PikaTimer,Emloop etc.

That's a neat method, I think I'll try that when I get SS.

I haven't tried to get Lugia myself yet, so there are a few things I'm unsure of -
1. Can you catch wild Pokémon in the area Lugia is?
2. Can you use the radio in the area Lugia is?
3. Can you use the 'phone in the area Lugia is?

I take it from your post that you only care about shininess, and aren't looking for a specific IV/Nature combination as well.

First, you need to know your game's ID and SID. The ID is on your trainer card; to work out the SID, you'll need to catch a random wild shiny Pokémon (or soft reset for one). You can also use an AR, I believe, or trade one of your Pokémon to someone with an AR to find it out... Unless you already know your SID, you'll have to find this first. Do you know it?

yes. lemme check the radio and phone.........

no..the phone and radio is out. lemme check wild pokes.

no wild pokes in room ethier.....can i just do the frame and go back in the room. or just go in and out of the room? and all i want is shinyness.

i know ID and SID already. im just confused about how to do it in SS/HG

oke first off romsstar seed verifier works flawlessly *yet another confirmation* one thing i needed to know is. my target frame was 1183. i subtracted one because raikou's frame is 1. i called elm 117 times and divided the remaining 1065 by 5 and took that many steps times 128. i was one frame under. so is this because i shouldnt subtract the one due to raikou or because the calling was off? (i checked it through romsstars seed verifier so it shouldnt have been.) anyone got a thought??

question again is: do you count raikou's 1 frame when advancing the frame? the methode 1 frame i need to hit is 1183. so should i subtract 1 from raikou? or shouldnt i for RNGing Raikou himself? I have no roamers out!

Okay, so first you'll need to check your seed. Rommstar's written a guide for how to check your seed in HG/SS: http://www.smogon.com/forums/showpost.php?p=2566531&postcount=3 although the calling Elm method won't work, you should be able to use the roamers method, unless you've already captured/KO'ed them all, in which case you'll have to catch a wild Pokémon just outside Lugia's room to check the seed by working out its IVs.

To advance the frame, you can either use the 'phone or radio in a place where you can, or go with the walking method. 128 steps inside Lugia's room should advance the RNG by the number of Pokémon in your party. (It might be inconsistent; so you'll have to catch Lugia, work out its IVs so you can see what frame it's on, and then adjust and try again. (So if it's 10 frames off and you have 5 Pokémon in your party you could walk an extra 256 steps)).
