I'ma Drummin dat Belly Mon!

Alright then! This is my very first RMT as well as one of my first teams I have actually jumped from the traditional movesets posted on Smogon (if only a little. I'm not that creative). All changes will be posted in this nice red that I noticed other people using. Without further ado, let the listing begin!

Metagross@Lum Berry
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: HP 252, Att 236, Defense 12, Speed 10
Nature: Adamant
-Bullet Punch
-Meteor Mash
-Earthquake
-Stealth Rock

Originally was Celebi. Testing in progress. No comments yet. Thanks to ginganinja!

Clefable@Life Orb
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: HP 252, Def 218, SpD 40
Nature: Careful
-Cosmic Power
-Double-Edge
-Softboiled
-Belly Drum

The star of my show which needs, at least what I think, the least amount of correcting. I started out using a stalling toxic Clefable and was thoroughly impressed with the results. Magic Guard prevents incoming spikes/rocks damage as well as weather effects. Hopefully they put down some toxic spikes which allow me to avoid any statuses altogether, but they are too rare to rely on. Magic Guard also really helps with absorbing the Life Orb/Double-Edge recoil. Cosmic power is a beast (seriously, I just came out of a game where I was only taking 33% from a 3x Swords Danced Metagross with EQ which he had BPed to). However, after scrolling through the moves, I noticed Belly Drum just begging to be abused, so here it is. I can easily set up cosmic power and belly drum most of the time, but I'm completely walled by ghosts. Another problem is taunters. My lead isn't doing such a good job at making sure the Aerodactly and Azlef leads die or are crippled, and Gliscor is always a problem. My whole team is centered around supporting this guy and they're not doing such a good job right now.

Tyranitar@Choice Scarf
Ability: Sand Steam
EVs: HP 6, Att 252, Spe 252
Nature: Jolly
-Crunch
-Pursuit
-Earthquake
-Stone Edge

This guy is here to get rid of my ghost problem. Once in on Rotom forms and Gengar, I almost always get the kill. People don't usually have more than one ghost so one hit usually clears me to set up Clefable for the whole game. He doesn't actually get to do anything else very well besides pursuit, but that's all I need. It would be great, though, if I could get a better pursuiter with good synergy, but I do enjoy the sandstorm being absorbed my Magic Guard.

Rotom-h@Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: HP 252, Spe 90, Def 168
Nature: Bold
-Overheat
-Hidden Power (Grass)
-Shadow Ball
-Will-o-wisp

Originally was a Choice Specs Rotom-s to counter Machamps. Testing in progress. No comments yet. Thanks to ginganinja!

Gliscor@Leftovers
Ability: Sand Veil
EVs: HP 252, Def 40, Spe 218
Nature: Jolly

-Earthquake
-Taunt
-Roost
-Toxic

Originally was Magnezone. Testing in progress. No comments yet.
Thanks to ginganinja!

Vaporeon@Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: HP 188, Def 252, Spe 70
Nature: Bold
-Protect
-Wish
-Hidden Power (Electric)
-Surf

This is the first time I have ever successfully used a wish pokemon. Vaporeon takes hits like a pro, especially incoming Starmie aiming at my T-Tar. My biggest problem with him is his susceptibility to toxic if my Celebi and Magnezone are dead. Wish has really helped out healing my team including Clefable if a switch was forced with low HP. This guy is rather useful, but not necessary to my team. I really just threw it in here because it was bulky, I haven’t used it before, and my brain was hurting too much to think clearly. It works, yes, but maybe something else would better fill this spot, or, more likely, someone who Vaporeon has good synergy with can fill in for other pokemon I have. Another nice use for Vaporeon is to lure out a toxic and switch it to my Clefable. While toxiced, it cannot be burned or paralyzed and will take no damage. Thanks in advance for your help guys! I really am new to all this!

I like this team, i think that it has a firm goal and that you go about it pretty well. I will try and suggest some things that will Help you.
Firstly you state that you don't like Celebi as your Lead. I suggest a Lum berry Metagross with SR, Meteor Mash, Bullet Punch and Earthquake. This metagross deals with the anti Lead machamp and can limit Aerodactyl and Azelf to just 1 turn to either Taunt or SR (Meteor Mash + Bullet Punch KO's them) He can take hits and dish them out very well too.

Next up is Scarf Tar- its fine.

Magnetzone- magetzone does a decent job a trapping scizor but I don't think it is that much or an issue. Instead I suggest a Gliscor with Toxic, Roost, Taunt and Earthquake which breaks stall and can spread status. Gliscor also handles the steel types with STAB Earthquake and also matchs up quite well against them. metagross does not frighten it unless it runs Ice Punch (its rare, most run Zen Headbutt or Thunder Punch). Heatran does not like switching into Earthquakes, and Scizor cannot do much to it at all to gliscor since it resists Bullet Punch and can Roost of any damage it takes.

Rotom-I don't like Spec'ed Rotom especially since Scarfed T-tar are running around and can freely switch into Shadow Ball and Thunderbolt and KO with Pursuit. i suggest a Rotom with Will-o-wisp, Thunderbolt, Shadowball, and Overheat/Substitute, with a leftovers. This Rotom can handle Scizor and can burn the steel types that resist Toxic. Also many steels are physical and really hate burns. Rotom also wards of Salamence who also hates burn.

Celefabel- its fine

Vaporeon- Its fine but run HP Electric over Toxic since Gliscor is also toxicing and Vaporeon like HP electric to help it beat DD gyarados which can be a mence to this team.

Thats it hope I helped

Have a Nice Day!

For the Magnezone I'd switch Explosion for Magnet Rise. You're not going to be countering Metagross without Magnet Rise. On a side note, don't Sub up on Skarm because you're likely to Roared out, but most Skarmories pack a Shed Shell now due to the abundance of Magnezone anyway.

Basically, I don't think the structure of this team is very good. It seems to lack a solid defensive core, which isn't necessarily bad, but it is when you lack revenge killers, bulky sweepers, etc. You will likely find yourself in corners more often than not. Due to your weakness to common sweepers such as Salamence, Gyarados, Gengar and others, I suggest swapping some of these Pokes out for walls or, at the very least, some bulky sweepers and a revenge killer.

since when...?

ginganinja: I think I will try the lead Metagross. I have also been thinking about a lead Crobat now that I'm not sleep deprived, so I'll test them both. That Rotom-h form you suggested would better fit with Metagross over my Machamp counter and I have used it in other teams successfully already. Although I love the immunities that come with Gliscor, I have never been able to use it that well before. Too many things can just switch in on EQ and I never know if I should predict on them or not (I've seriously lost games predicting a logical switch only to find out the player was just going to let their pokemon die and hope for some sort of miracle). HP electric sounds good on Vaporeon too. Thanks!

Starbuck: I've actually had people complaining about my team being too bulky. Shed Shell is the reason I run substitute as well. They switch into a ground type when I sub up and then blast them with some move which I haven't thought of... I was planning to change my thunderbolt to another move because HP Fire deals with Skarms pretty well on its own. The only pokemon in your list I might have a weakness to is Salamence.

@FireCape, Yea you are correct, don''t know what i was thinking typing that, guess I though Flying resisted Bullet Punch lol
