I listed weaknesses and what-not because it was a direct C/P from my Notepad file. I'm trying to think of a solid UU team, it's mostly defensive and trying to aid CurseLix in his sweep by getting rid of nasty obstacles. Magmortar has T-Bolt AND HP Grass to deal with a lot of Pokemon to give ol 'Lix hell.

Things look okay so far? NOTE: This doesn't go in the RMT section, it isn't a complete team.

Modest Milotic@ Life Orb with
Surf/HP Electric/ Hypnosis or Ice Beam/ Recover

Spread #1 is from the analysis: 152 HP/80 Defense/220 SpAtk/56 Speed...
It gives Milotic 212 Speed to outrun most slow guys, enormous special attack with life orb, and average defenses

Spread #2, one of my friends has been working on for me: 252 HP/168 Defense/88 Special Attack... It gives Milotic wonderful defenses and above average special attack... 394 HP/236 Defense/286 Special Defense takes a good amount of hits and 282 Special Attack with the Life Orb is enough to OHKO or 2HKO some major threats...

Spread #3 was also made by a friend: 68 Def/252 Spatk/190 speed... It gives Milotic 211 Defense, 328 Special Attack, and 244 Speed... However instead of outfitting it with a Life Orb, Milotic gets a Salac Berry, so that it can attack until its HP is relatively low, then use recover after the Salac Berry activates, letting it outspeed (even max speed Latias) and then truly sweep.

So...
A. Which spread do I go with in OU?
B. Would said moveset like Ice Beam or Hypnosis?

In competitive play, I almost always use my own original sets. Sometimes this isn't the best idea, but I have more fun and sometimes discover great sets that most people have never even considered. So now I'm considering writing an analysis or two of my own. When a new moveset is suggested in the Contributions and Corrections forum, is it considered to be added to Smogon if it's approved and becomes popular? How should I get my start for writing a good analysis? The first ones I write would most likely be for Dialga (Ubers) and Absol (UU)

Novel movesets should be discussed first in the relevant New and Creative movesets threads in Stark (for OU) or the relevant metagame forum (for other metas).

Note that I do not know whether it goes in the tier the Pokemon is in, or the tier the set is intended for. For example, would a set designed for using Dragonite in Ubers go in the OU or Uber thread? Does anyone know the answer to this?

If feedback is good, read the guidelines for writing analyses, and look at those already on the site.

It might also be worth producing a warstory where the set is effective, if you play a quality battle with it.

Is it best to ev train the final evolution of a pokemon or does it really matter? Should I ev train my Nincada or wait til it evolves to Ninjask to ev train it?

It really doesn't matter, so it's really up to you how you want to do this thing.

If you EV train it right from the get-go, it will require more patience on your part as your Nincada will start out very weak and will not be able to complete battles by itself, but then you're also starting from a clean slate and can keep track of what EVs it has already accumulated.

If you level it up and evolve it first, it will either cost you Rare Candies or EV-dropping berries to get its EVs straight and ready for proper EV training. On the plus-side, though, the rest of the EV training should be comparatively faster.

The only caveat is that once it's level 100, all EV training stops, and you're stuck with whatever EVs it has. Hope they were some good ones!
If a pokemon's ev's are full will it still accept the boost from items such as protein or zinc?

Vitamins will only boost a pokemon's EVs as high as 100. If the EV for the stat are over 90, it will not work (it would give the pokemon over 100 EV on that stat). If the pokemon's total EVs across the board are over 500, it also will not work (would give the pokemon an EV total of over 510, which is the absolute maximum).
Can anyone tell me exactly what base stats are and how they are used to calculate actual stats at different levels?

Base stats in the metagame refers to the stats for a particular species of pokemon. For example, a Ninjask's base speed is 160. It is true of every member of the Ninjask species.

This is not to be confused with the game's use of the phrase, Base stats, which is actually EVs (Effort Values). EVs are specialized training a pokemon has received in a specific stat to boost it higher than normal.

There are two other variables that affect a pokemon's effective attributes: level and IVs. Level is pretty much self-explanatory. As for IVs, think of them as the pokemon's genes. All Ninjask are flippin' fast, but some are just plain faster than others. It's genetics (or IVs).

If you're really serious about learning the equation, look here: http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Stats.

cantab, Good points. Wow I could have really used some past battle logs for that. I guess I'll run them on like every team because I really don't have much concern for CRE. And I'm almost positive you post it in the intended-for-usage tier, I mean just look at the Ubers forum right now, those Pokémon for the most part aren't Ubers. But what if somebody stole my moveset and made an analysis for it before I could because I wasted time with it in the creative moveset thread? I know my movesets won't be that good, but if it did happen it would suck

I'm currently debating on a moveset for a Choice Band Crobat.
So far, I'm using Cross Poison, Brave Bird, and U-Turn. (Pursuit wasn't bred on)
Any suggestions for a final move?

slax95, repost your question if you will

Nickscor, consider Heat Wave, if that doesn't suit your fancy, (because I don't like it), maybe Super Fang?

Under Other Options: "In terms of physical alternatives, Poison Fang, Steel Wing, Bite, and X-Scissor are options, but none of them really outshine the suggested moves above in any appreciable way."

I'd say Bite or X-Scissor.

What's a good nickname for a shiny MODEST Gyarados?

"Gayrados"

I forget what my exact post was, but it was something like... I would use:
Salamence
Metagross
Mewtwo
Latios
Lucario
and a filler, but those 5 that I picked all cover each other's weaknesses almost perfectly. The filler shouldn't have a Ground or Fire weakness, but anything outside of that should work

When I connected with someone over the pokewalker I was able to battle their sprite in game. However, when the battle started they said a customized expression (i.e. I love mudkips). Does anyone know how to change one's own, and if so how?

I believe there is a guy in the battle tower who lets you change it.He asks you what you would say if you win, lose, etc.

If I have a togepi w/ hustle in a 3rd generation game, and migrate it to a 4th gen. Is it possible for it to have serene grace when it evolves?

Thanks.
