Would it be a good idea to start a thread for carpooling to lcq/nats? I'd like to compete, but I don't think I'd bother to go by myself. My car probably wouldn't make the trip as it is anyway.

If everything goes to plan, i should be competing in the Grinder.
Put me down for LCQ. Haven't sorted out everything yet but I'd say there's about 90% odds of me making the trip and bringing along a friend (maybe two).
Just want to get the following things on my car fixed first: brakes, brake lights, headlights, AC/heat, cruise control, interior lighting, and whateverthefuck has been overheating lately.
Thinking on it, I haven't been street legal in about 5 months. Jesus.

The winner's hotel- Marriott Downtown. =) $240 a night.
I actually found this other hotel that's two miles away called Candlewood Suites- $86 a night and a really nice place if you're on a budget!

Well, cheapest is not always the best =) You want a good location and a good hotel. I searched around for a bit and came up with that one. It's pretty close to the convention center and has positive reviews from a lot of people.
There's like 100+ hotels in Indy to choose from- those are the two that we've discussed on IRC to quite an extent. =)
It would be nice if people could make a note of where they're planning to stay so that more of us could meet up. Any of you guys into Capcom fighters? I could tow along either Tatsunoko vs Capcom or SSFIV if anyone would be up for geeking out at the hotel. The rest of my group would probably be up for either that or just blowing a bunch of money at a casino. :3
This is with the rather large assumption that one of us would qualify for the finals, as we'll probably be driving overnight and getting there at sunrise on Friday. We won't be booking a room unless one of us makes it to the second day. And I'm certainly not paying $240!
We'll be driving from Huntington WV (I-64 -> I-65). We'd probably be able to pick someone up along the way if needed, but it'd be in the early AM hours. >.>

i know for real i wish there were a hotel thing going around so we know. like both expensive and cheap like how godudette posted two options. that way atleast you know were people will be for over night funs like playing Tatsunoko vs Capcom or SSFIV like you said sixfortyfive.
Well, the two options she gave are where she would be staying and where TPCi booked rooms for the winners. You should just be looking into hotels that are close to the convention center and try to find something in your price range.
It took me to the Top 16, so yeah.
