That being said, the common rumor is that BW's theme is going "Ying Yang" I wonder how that will work

I actually think that the "Ying yang" theme could be possible, seeing as Reshiram is the "White Yang" pokemon and Zerkrom is the "Black Yin" pokemon. On a side note, did anybody hear about the possible"Dsi enhanced-features"?Pokebeach claims that the games code starts with"TWL" instead of"NTR" which indictaes that BW might have more for the Dsi.I dunno,if it's already been mentioned in this thread.

Oh Magikarp, Machop, Oddish....how I hate thee. Seriously, I hate how reused these guys are. I understand why it is, but damn... just wanna punch their faces in.

I'm actually a fan of the former 2, but Oddish, IMO, is crap. But there's no way they'll remove them in Isshu, no way at all. They're as staple as they get.

Hold on, I just remembered a couple more staples. Staryu, Tentacool, Magnamite, Voltorb, Geodude, Psyduck, and I believe Ponyta, and Abra if I didn't already mention him. And of course, there are many others.

Also, barring Johto in some cases, each generation has a few other staples:

  1. A signature non-legendary Dragon, always 4x weak to Ice
  2. A bird you get at route 1 and almost every other route.
  3. A bug that you get early on and is fully evolved by level 10
Once again, there are probably many others that I cann't recall at the moment. Point is, GF has patterns it always follows, Isshu will be no different.

Triceratops: Rock/Steel. (Yeah, I know we got one last gen, but damn, I loved Bastiodon and I feel a Tricera would allow for better attack value at the cost of some defense)

Veloceraptor: Rock/Dark. (Beat-Up should be one of its attacks imo. Pursuit as well and Nasty Plot. All very fitting to Raptors)

I'm tired of all the terrible type combinations for fossil Pokemon, to be honest. The best typings were first generation, and Cradily has a good type too. Give us a Rock/Ghost and Rock/Fighting. Rock/Dark is cool, too.

This guy, as a Steel/Water.

Wow whats that? As a Steel enthusiast I could see it being useful.

So apparently Pokemon Sunday didn't show anything new like gameplay videos, just these Corocoro Pokemon's silhouettes, of course, as Serebii said. What I said earlier is totally wrong because I forgot the Corocoro we see first is just an early leak, so we technically aren't supposed to know about these Pokemon yet... :P

EDIT: YES. Black champion. Do it Gamefreak.

Isn't Brock close enough?

I guess its cause its difficult finding type combinations that match old dinosaur species. I mean, which Dinosaur has Ghostly features?

Perhaps the Champion.

Am i the only who thinks the Fire E4 in gen IV HAD to be black. It was fitting with its personality IMO, seeing how African culture enjoys vivid music and had fiery personnality. No pun intended.

EDIT: Brock is not black. Just look at his eyes... and mouth.

In case you guys were wondering,Pokemon Sunday just showed sihouettes of Munna,Gear,Chinchilla, and Hihidaruma.Nothing new,as usual....why do we always get the exact same CoroCoro info from them?Only thing interesting that they show occasionally is gameplay footage.

Actually this could actually be possible. Rock/ Ghost and Rock/ Dark sound cool.

Well it's not just dinosaurs, remember, but I'm sure Gamefreak could make it work somehow. I never thought I'd see a fire-type chicken and pig, but alas here they are.

why do we even expect PS to give us any new info in the first place? we all know they will tell us the exactly same shit corocoro did.

What's important is what they show us. I don't think anybody guessed that Pokemon sprites were animated before battle videos were shown on Pokemon Sunday. They also showed us how the camera rotates around Hiun City. But yeah, they never actually "reveal" anything.

EDIT: Yeah, actually, I think Dahlia was black. It's also interesting she had an english name in the Japanese version. Still, it would be awesome to see a Black champion. I remember Cynthia was a surprise to me.

Too bad no champion will ever be better than Blue, better known as GARY MOTHERFUCKING OAK.

I lately tought of an AWESOME CONCEPT. A pokemon, in its baby state, whit nothing perticular, being shit if possible, but evolving while holding fossils.
It could then get stats similar to the fossil pokemon's.

For example, if holding the helix fossil, it would be like the same baby thing, just looking more mature and having a curved shell and having better stats in Def and Sp Atk.

With the Old Amber, it would grow stone wings and be better in the speed and physical offensive departement.

With the Root Fossil, It would have tentacles or something and would be a slow and defensively oriented pokemon.

etc.

Thoughts?

Ugh, so when will we see new pokemon? Does Corocoro come out weekly or monthly?

Geez, somebody's impatient. We just got five new Pokemon revealed yesterday, along with quite a bit of info on all of the new ones (just-revealed and already known ones), and you're clamoring for more?

Show some restraint, buddy. Autumn's not getting here any faster, so I say sit back and enjoy the ride. There's plenty of enjoyable discussion anyway. =)

The Zubat line, Tetacool line, Machop line, Geodude line, Abra line, Voltorb line, Magikarp line, Goldeen line, Staryu line, Pikachu line, and Psyduck line are the only ones that are in all of the regional Pokedexes (unless I missed one; Staryu isn't in the DP regional dex). Some Pokemon, like Heracross and many 3rd gen Pokemon, have been in all of them since they were introduced.

Sorry, but if I can't help if I get really excited after seeing new Pokemon. If I want more, I want more. Can you really blame me?
