I would LOVE to see those, even the polar bear (though it doesn't match the otter much) looks cool.

The only issue I have with that drawing is that it looks like Boaruption is pooping out a bomb :/
Well at least it would learn explosion, and I think with Smugleafs loss of arms in its evo its totaly become a snake/dragon
And the only ones I really like form the non starters is the fire gorilla because its face is like "Im going to F***ing stab you with a knife" and the Aomeba because it just looks cool, and Zerkrom. The rest need to burn.

Yeah. That picture is good if we ignore the horrible Wotter evo. A polar bear final evo doesn't make sense.

The odds that someone would have insider knowledge of what the girl looks like, and used it to make fakemon is really low. Frankly no one knew what her silhouette looked like until yesterday. How in the world do you figure they got that information early?

Aside from that, fakers are rather more verbose, going for full color images as large as they can believably be made.

Why? Fan art almost always looks more appealing than the sprites or sketches. Like that floating green ghost/jell Pokemon. That sprite made me think i'd never be able to look at that Pokemno without grimacing. one good fan art pciture later, I'm looking forward tot he official art of it :D

Oh I was thinking of it interms of legitimacy. But yea fanart usually looks sweet.

Agree with above post. Alo they got it in the exact same pose as shown in the clip.

Yeah, most fan art also has more personality than the sprites. I've seen tons of fan art for Absol that looks really cool, but its sprites are downright boring.

some do. like the eevee's further back.

anyways.. i really want to love the fire starter. Although I don't like pork.. and im guessing its going to turn into a retarded fat pig.. i hope to see new images of it soon.. so i can finally decide. i just love the look of the little thing, and the color scheme.

Fanart is cool, one just has to completely disregard it in terms of the actual games, which is kind of a bummer :(

Those Eeveelutions were so awesome though...that's my favorite type of fanart: not too out there but not crappy drawing, either.

There was a discussion back then about what were the evolution's names.

Don't even bother with that, Tsutarja is called "Aibi" (Ivy) and Mijumaru is called "otter" in Japanese, so these are just nicknames given either because they were still beta thingies and they haven't decided on the name yet, or they just put it to throw people off thinking it was fake had the sketch been leaked lol.

Yes but the artist could have just knew about the female charectar from other sources earlier and could have drew the thing in a rush
In the exact same pose as the silhouette?

The sketch was never meant to be released to the public. It makes perfect sense that it would be low quality, so that's not an argument. Face it, you're just in denial.

I'm pretty late to this discussion but... why, exactly does everyone think Mijumaru will evolve into a samurai? is it because of that anime draft art? because honestly I don't know where this came from... the anime draft art is much too blurry to get a good look at the design, if you ask me.

not that it wouldn't be awesome. I would choose him in a second (I'm thinking of choosing him now regardless...) if that were the case.

It's pretty much just that sketch, coupled with the desperate belief that it'll turn out to kill the other two starters in terms of awesomeness.

But agreed, I would dig a Samurotter.

I think its awesome how Wotters finaly got some serious love going on,I just love that little dute,And a Water/Rock final evo wit some serious shell blades on his arms would be epic.

With extra emphasis on the "Exact" part... the released character in the anime and the girl in the sketch are identical! These sketches are 95% confirmed.

As for the fire boar, I still like Pokabu the most of the starters; the main concern of mine is that it will turn into a stereotypical fat and chunky, ugly and angry, foaming(or flaming)-at-the-mouth monster. Something like this design, which seems more athletic, would be better (although the tusks and eyes need to be changed):

And what is the reason of showing two evolutions and keeping pokabu alone? When they introduced the starters they introduced all three together...I dont see why that doesn't happen in the drawing then...

I see. sounds like a good plan. after looking at the sketch art more, I can see the things you guys are seeing, and it does look like it could go a samurai route. heres hoping.

also, I noticed some people saying the Smugleaf's arms shrunk when it evolved, which isn't the case. it's arms are the same proportions as it's first form, it's body just grew so they look smaller. I'm hoping they disappear when it evolves again though, because it's based off a snake, it should look like one.

If it does become a snake i hope they dont make it a lame Grass/Poison,I want it to become a Grass/Dragon,that would be epic.

Actually, I'm willing to bet they were beta names, not simply "nicknames." Mijumaru's name is "Rakkomaru". Its evolution is Rakonosuke. Notice how Rakonosuke has one less "k"? Because it had to be shortened, since it would have broken the 5-character limit. This is fine for us, but it probably changed the meaning of the name some how, or perhaps they simply just didn't want to shorten it. But they probably wanted to have both Mijumaru and its evolution to have the same prefix, so they changed Rakko/Rako to Miju. An educated guess on the evo's name would be Mijunosuke. Its last evo probably won't have it in there, though.

Also, I say again, 10 bucks says Mijumaru's last evo is going to end with -zaemon.

"Dragon" as a "species" is so vague, anything that's even sorta kinda reptilian could be considered a dragon, and it wouldn't be a longshot. However, still hoping for Grass/Electric, since I know they won't ever make a Dragon-type starter.
