Mamoswine @ Focus Sash
Adamant - Snow Cloak
Ev: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
  • Ice Shard
  • Earthquake
  • Stealth Rock
  • Endeavor
Comments: I really love leading with this beast, if im faster I'll set up stealth rocks, if I know im going to get KO'd I use endeavor and finish with ice shard. I have lots of options with this set which helps me deal with most of the common leads such as Heatran, Ttar, and meta as long as there not stocked on hp and not running shuca. Jirachi and Azelf give me alittle trouble though.

jolteon.png

Jolteon @ Life Orb
Timid - Volt Absorb
EV Spread - 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
  • Charge Beam
  • Thunderbolt
  • Hidden Power [Grass]
  • Shadow Ball
Comments: I really like this set. Because Jolteon is so fast, he can come in on something close to death or predict an electric attack, and Charge Beam, and get that 63% SpA boost. Shadow Ball will 2HKO Gliscor and Flygon after a boost from charge beam, and hidden power grass takes care of mamo and swampert.

Scizor@ Choice Band
Adamant - Technician
EV Spread - 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Spe
  • Bullet Punch
  • Superpower
  • U-Turn
  • Pursuit
Comments: He makes an effective revenge killer against Pokemon with bad defense such as Gengar and Alakazam. Bullet Punch is the crux of its set. After STAB and the Technician boost, it sports 90 Base Power, which allows it to pick off many a weakened opposing sweeper. Bullet Punch 2HKOes 4/0 Dragonite, and can OHKO Gengar after SR as well. U-Turn hits incredibly hard after STAB and allows Scizor to scout for its counters and bring in a counter of your own. Superpower allows Scizor to OHKO two of its most common "counters", Magnezone and Heatran, as they switch in.

130.png

Gyarados @ Leftovers
Adament - Intimidate
Ev Spread: 156 HP / 72 Atk / 96 Def / 184 Spe
  • Waterfall
  • Dragon Dance
  • Stone Edge
  • Taunt
Comments: Paired with Jolteon this Bulky Gyara has been working great, Starmie can rapid spin for me and mamo sets up rocks to help me sweep. I think that the bulky version fits alot better with this team, but im not 100% sure. Any help with this would be great. Im also thinking about bounce instead of stone edge, due to the 30% paralysis.

485.png

Heatran @ Choice Specs
Modest - Flash Fire
Ev Spread: 40 HP / 252 SpA / 216 Spe
  • Fire Blast
  • Earth Power
  • Hidden Power [GRASS]
  • Dragon Pulse
Comments: Heatran can come in on many occasions and just blast away, hitting even those who resist his attacks for a lot of damage. Heatran works well with Scizor, coming in on a fire type attack and sweep. I really tired to work this team so that each pokemon had a partner to work with so that it would be easy for me to switch in, I'm not sure if i want to go with a scarfed version instead though.

Starmie @ Life Orb
Timid - Natural Cure
EV Spread: 6 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
  • Ice Beam
  • Thunderbolt
  • Rapid Spin
  • Hydro Pump
Comments: LO Starmie with Rapid Spin, they dont expect it. I have to say if I predict properly it can really frustrate a person using stall as Hydro Pump will 1HKO some Rotoms after SR and Rapid Spin is really self explanatory as it will spin away all their entry hazards. It can also throw players off guard as when they see LO recoil they immediately think that I don’t have Rapid Spin which I promptly use afterward. That’s not to say though that Starmie is only useful for slowing down stall, its an all round, great Pokemon once Blissey is out of the picture. The power of LO Hydro Pump has simply shocked me as it has killed some Tyranitars after SR, and has inflicted heavy damage to Scizor.

I recommend you switch Scizor's Pursuit to Quick Attack. U-Turn is nearly always a better option than Pursuit, doing more damage if an opponent stays in and keeping more offensive momentum if they don't. Quick Attack allows Scizor to KO Empoleon after 3 Subs.

Good luck.

I was thinking about that but im not sure yet

Actually, keep pursuit. it's better to trap starmie, which if jolteon dies, runs through your team.

Should i switch something up then mabey?

Leave pursuit on Scizor. I see almost no reasoning behind quick attack, Bullet punch will almost always be better except empoleon and being able to ko it after 3 subs isnt really any more useful than being able to pursuit a rotom locked into to something or a blissey below 50%...

Alright thanks, any other huge weakness u see? im going to use this on wifi so i want to make everything is set to go before i start to look for the mons and train them

hi there, good team. just a couple of suggestions.

now i notice that your team is basically 6-0ed by a Swords Dance Lucario with Stone Edge. these are actually growing in usage and as that trend continues, the more prone your team is to a completely and utter smashing from it. firstly, i'd like to suggest changing your lead mamoswine in place for gliscor. the reason being is because gliscor deals with lucario much better if it carries stone edge. this is especially important as lucario easily sets up on Heatran's Hidden Power Grass and Scizor's Pursuit. furthermore, gliscor deals with tyranitar -- especially those who either run flamethrower or those babiri dragon dance tyranitars. both of these variants hurt you a lot if you are not extremely careful. the gliscor set i suggest is:

gliscor @ leftovers
ability: sand veil
evs: 252 hp / 40 def / 216 Spe
jolly nature
- taunt
- earthquake
- roost
- stealth rock / toxic

(toxic or even u-turn are options if you use SR on heatran as i will explain below)

however, with this change i would then move your current heatran set into lead position as it deals with jirachi, colbur berry azelf and the likes much better than mamoswine does. it's hidden power grass is more likely to catch swamperts off-guard, too. with the change, you could consider running stealth rock > dragon pulse since dragon pulse is basically the most viable substitute for stealth rock if you don't want to give gliscor stealth rock.

Guys, did anybody realize that DD Gyara runs through this team?

I'm sure intelligent playing of his own Gyarados can result in the Intimidates soaking up the hits better, but once Gyara is down the rest of his team is at Gyarados's mercy.

Jolteon? Please don't make me elaborate on how it takes a +1 Waterfall. Which it doesn't at all.

Starmie? Iffy, but the secondary move on most Gyarados should usually KO with SR damage.

Scizor? Nope, setup bait.

Heatran? lol

I use DP Scizor myself, and it's a beast. Infernape has terrible defenses. However, it still only takes 42% from a Bullet Punch (Around). This means that even with SR damage you can't kill it before it KOs you (And kills itself hopefully given that most carry LO). With Quick Attack, you are dealing around 50% damage, enough to secure a 2HKO after SR damage. Quick Attack also does a respectable 30% to Gyarados (The bulky ones, even), meaning that after one turn of LO recoil and SR damage and sandstorm, Quick Attack 2HKOs Gyarados. Kingdra is also easily dealt with, and right now Kingdra does a good job of wrecking this team; the only way the team has around DD Kingdra currently is by baiting an Outrage and having Heatran kill it.

What does Pursuit do? Trap Rotom? lol. So what, U-turn is already going to do 35% damage minimum to a Scarfed Rotom, and you can finish the job with Jolteon. The argument for Pursuit is weak. Change to Quick Attack.

This isn't a 100% cover to Gyarados however, so I recommend changing Starmie to Celebi in order to abuse the Celetran combo.

Something physically defensive works, like this one:

Celebi @ Leftovers
Bold
252 HP/216 Defense/40 Speed

Grass Knot
Thunder Wave
Recover
Hidden Power Fire

This should work as a good Gyara counter (Beware Bounce variants though).

If you really want to keep a spinner, then I'd replace Heatran with Celebi; I'm not seeing the point of Heatran, especially a Specstran, when you have a powerhouse like LO Starmie already in place.

Alright, thanks for the rate. Do you think I should still lead with Mamo, and switch Heatran for Celebi....I really don't want to lose my spinner!

I think that Mamo isn't up to the job in this metagame. He dies to Metagross (I'm not sure if EQ + Ice Shard will KO), he can't break down Pert, he can't take down Azelf before it set up SR even after it Taunts Mamo and Machamp... lol. He's taken out easily by D-punch + Bullet Punch. Infernape breaks the sash with ease and blows Mamo to hell with Fire Blast, etc ect.

I think that Metagross is definitely a better lead, in any case. And if you really, really want a spinner, then just replace Heatran with Celebi.
