Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Egg breeding.

I know that power items make some things inconsistent but I was wondering if I shouldn't have my ditto using an everstone either...Or, does it matter at all?

Right, absolutely noobish question, but in what ways does messing about with the time and date on your DS affect time-based events in the game?

I'm not sure if others are experiencing the same of what I've noticed so far as trying to RNG for any of the roamer before or after facing Red. It seems that before facing Red that my frames are consistent when I get to the last elm call before entering the elite 4, but after facing Red, there seems to be an inconsistency that makes it frustrating to get the correct frame. When I try my usual target elm letter, I end up with an actual frame 6 ahead. When I adjust back 6 elm letters, I am over by one, and then when I adjust by yet one more, I am actually under the last elm letter by 4, so I don't understand what is going on. Good thing I have a save of my game before facing Red and have re-tested that instance and it works.

So I'm wondering if after facing Red changes the way RNG calls are made when doing the elite 4.

I haven't done the roamer catches on my retail card yet. I've faced Red on that game more than once, so I'll give one of the roamers a go and let you know how it turns out.

I am quite good at Plat rng but I am having trouble with HG rng'ing.
Ok, so I went to a place with no Npc's, found my seed with elm responses, caught a pokemon. The spread matched the frame and seed.
Now I am really trying to catch magnemite, so I go to route 38. I rebattle a trainer to stop her, I'm left with one moving Npc. I save in the grass by the Npc and start Sr'ing. However, when I search elm responses I either get no response or something with a wacky delay and seconds. I even caught a poke and its spread didn't match any frame for the seed.

Please help, I've been having this problem with breeding for a month now and still have had no response. This is my first time attempting to catch in HG.

Why are you SR'ing if you are trying to RNG?
And Dont save. That messes everything up.

Hi again. Last time I successfully RNG'd a Latias in Pewter City, how does RNGing differ for Eggs and roaming pokemon? Do I still need to hit my frame before I talk to the Old Man for my egg (assuming he has one ready for me when I hit the frame?)? How do I RNG a roaming Latios that hasn't been triggered?(Fyi this is HG SS)

I'm trying to catch a flawless timid caterpie with this seed: d2140289.
The problem is when I look for the time, the RNGReporter always give me the same hour at night (caterpie doens't appear at night). Is there a way to change that hour, or not?

What I mean by Sr'ing is the Start,Select,L, and R combination on the DS.

Wait, I might have found the issue for catching, I think that Pika timer is faster than my DS clock. When I used another clock, I found a close delay. I still can't figure out why this happens for breeding though.

What do you have your adjacents set to on Seed to Time? It should be maxed out for delays +/-99 and it should at least be +/- 5 for seconds.

just making sure but your not supposed to synch your clock and pikatimer you just hover over your desired time and push A (on DS) and start on the pikatimer at the same time.

I have the search maxed out, and I do not sync pikatimer and the DS clock, pika timer just runs at a faster pace.

hmmm maybe your time is off like say your target time is 20:20:13. Say you hit 20:20:12, then you would set your DS clock to 20:20:00. But your pika timer should hit 0 before its the top of the minute cause of the delay

I'm trying to download the RNG reporter for mac, I followed the intructions, but I am getting this error when I try to open RNG reporter.
Code:
sh: mono: command not found

If you happened to use any codes to rebattle legendaries that are a part of game play, then you definitely need to rebattle the Elite Four. Also, roamers are useful for RNG. They can tell you quickly if you're near the right delay. I would rebattle the Elite Four and release them. Then you should perhaps make sure you are doing all the steps to RNG on HGSS correctly. Also, battling trainers in the area is good, but they still start moving after you change the date for an RNG, so just be quick about getting into your Pokegear.

What I'm saying is I figured out what the problem was with catching, just not breeding. I never use the pika timer for breeding.

Okay, I got past the last problem, but have a new one.
I'm installing RNG reporter for mac on a OS X. I (think) I've done everything right, but when I open the file I get this message.
Code:
sh /usr/bin/mono: Bad CPU type in executable
What's wrong?

I'm in HeartGold, trying to RNG the Enigma Stone Latios in Pewter City. I have found an acceptable spread to shoot for.

This is my first time RNGing in Heartgold, so I have two questions. I found that within Pewter City are a few wandering NPCs. Will these NPCs throw off the frame, and if so, is there any way to stop them from doing this?

Also, I'm unsure of how many frame advances I should do. Based on what I've read, it seems that the number of advances (after killing the roamers) is the target frame minus one, minus the number of calls done to Elm to confirm the seed. However, I'm not sure if this is correct.

If this is the case then you should definitely try for a regular stationary legendary before you attempt the Enigma Lati@s. You will need the practice if you are to be perfect in RNGing this one.

Ok then, but to reiterate my previous question:

I'm trying to manipulate Chintya's egg but I've a problem with the frame: sometimes it's even, and sometimes it's odd, and its number is always 13 (when it's odd). How do I get the exact frame?
